The stability needs work and the leader node should be removed, but we can deliver results faster.
The speed of the application It has delivered results to our customers faster than we were able to previously. The stability needs work. I've used it for two years. It wasn't stable. There are issues. No issues yet. Customer Service: It's good. Technical Support: It's good. SQL Server…

Amazon Redshift offers massive parallel processing capability, allowing it to handle millions of records, along with integration with other AWS features such as S3 and QuickSight. The column-level storage supports high performance and easy data retrieval compared to other tools. The integration with S3 has helped my team immensely since S3 is our starting source, and the direct integration with Amazon Redshift simplifies the transformation and loading process. Columnar storage has benefited our performance significantly, allowing us to extract specific rows from tables with years of data much faster than other tools with row-level storage. Amazon Redshift has positively impacted our organization by significantly improving query performance and speed. Features such as easy integration with S3 allow us to process millions of records efficiently, ultimately saving us nearly one hour per day for our project.

Pros

"It has delivered results to our customers faster than we were able to previously."
"As of now, Redshift is far better than the other products in the market."
"If the analyst knows SQL, which is comfortable and easy to use to go between all of these tool stacks, I think it's reliable. It's a secure and reliable data warehouse."
"The tool's most valuable feature is its parallel processing capability. It can handle massive amounts of data, even when pushing hundreds of terabytes, and its scaling capabilities are good."
"This service can merge and integrate well with all databases."
"Now, we are able to spin up some clusters and then start using it, allowing us to incrementally pay as we expand."
"Redshift has had some scaling issues, but Redshift's performance overall is excellent."
"With Amazon Redshift, we gained a lot in terms of timing, as well as project completion."
"I work in the real estate industry, and the best features I appreciate about Amazon Redshift include its efficiency in managing large datasets."

Cons

"The stability needs work."
"It would be nice if it was a bit cheaper to retain data long-term."
"Pricing is one of the concerns that I have because if you compare Snowflake with Redshift, it provides some of the same services, but at a much cheaper rate."
"The only minor issue I faced was that it took a bit longer than expected to change the cluster to have more space or storage."
"In the next release, a pivot function would be a big help. It could save a lot of time creating a query or process to handle operations."
"This solution could be cheaper, but Amazon could constantly add new instances and decrease the size from previous ones, so it could be an AWS work model."
"We would really like to see a few more connectors included that would enable connecting with other databases and services."
"The main issue people complain about, and I agree with the claim, is that it's hard to load your data into it."
"There is a need for improvement in these aspects, mainly in the scope of data types and some complex functionalities which we can perform in RDBMS."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It's pay per use. You can have multiple models."
"For Amazon Redshift, we pay around INR 60,000 annually. The cost factor also depends on the number of existing customers."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the pricing a seven."
"Pricing for Amazon Redshift is reasonable, though it could be somewhat higher than other solutions, such as Azure. Still, when you base your comparison on the services offered and the pricing, it's the most reasonable versus its competitors, such as RDS."
"I have heard complaints about the solution’s pricing, and thus I rate it as a five."
"It is an expensive product."
"Per hour pricing is helpful to keep the costs of a pilot down, but long-term retention is expensive."
"It's around $200 US dollars. There are some data transfer costs but it's minimal, around $20."
