I use Wix for my management consultancy business. I built the website as a landing page and booking tool where clients can book me through it. There is a calendar with dates, a live chat function, and links to a blog and other features.
Wix offers a drag-and-drop editor, built-in hosting, and SEO tools, making it an efficient platform for creating websites quickly and without coding. It supports e-commerce, app integrations, and uses an AI site-generation tool to speed up development.

| Co-Founder at a tech services company with 1-10 employees | 4.0 | I have 4-5 years' experience with Wix, finding its editor effective for simple sites and responsive design. | Professional Freelancer at a consultancy with self employed | 3.5 | I find Wix easy to use with drag-and-drop, offering essential features. I use Wix for my management consultancy business. I built the website as a landing page and booking tool where clients can book me through it. There is a calendar with dates, a live chat function, and links to a blog and other features.
It has made my website look attractive because the drag and drop function snaps into place - central, center, right, left. It does what I want it to do when I ask it the first time. If everything is not centered correctly or does not look of a high standard, people will not look at the website. It makes it very easy to build an attractive, professional-looking website. I can use the hash tool for the colors to put in the hash number which follows the colors of my business exactly.
This is the first website I have built with Wix. I checked with a couple of competitors, although I cannot remember their names. I settled on Wix because the interface of how you build a website suited me and was easy to understand. The other two I looked at were not as intuitive. I could probably use them, but I felt it would take me twice as long to build the website. Wix is simple to use, works consistently, and never goes wrong. It is straightforward to use.
The mobile view needs to be fixed when reviewing on the desktop to show what it actually displays on the phone. There were a couple of small bugs which I think they fixed. Sometimes when dragging and dropping things into place, they would snap into place, and then after saving and checking the live page, it would not quite match what was showing in the website builder. I would have to go back in and move it to the right and then snap it back for it to work. Sometimes doing exactly the same thing when building requires one or two attempts to get it to reflect what you want to see on the live page.
I have been using it for exactly a year because I have just received a renewal for my website. It has been approximately a year and a week since I built the website.
Sometimes what is displayed on the laptop does not reflect what appears on the phone. I keep my phone open on the website so I can refresh it and check. A couple of adjustments moving things around makes it work. In general, it works quite effectively. There are a few bugs where what it says it will show on the phone versus the laptop does not always match. It works effectively 90% of the time, though it needs some bug fixes.
I have used other solutions before.
There is a bit of a learning curve. It took me about an hour to understand the interface. After an hour, it became pretty straightforward with no issues.
I have received some work through the website. It has paid for itself. Over the course of a year, the cost of the website and the email address that comes with it through Google can be covered by approximately two hours of work. It provides good value in that sense. I get sufficient work through the website to cover its costs.
I have used Google Analytics with it. I have not used Wix's internal analytics, as I have always used Google Analytics.
The biggest advantages are that it is inexpensive and very easy to use, which means I can spend less time building the website and more time working. Using another portal would probably give me a poor result and require more time to achieve that result. It is quick to use, intuitive, and gives me good results.
For what I need, I would rate it 9 out of 10. It has been very good, with only a couple of bugs affecting the score. When you need to provide advice, it usually suggests something is not very good. The fact that I cannot think of any advice indicates that it is good from the outset. Everything about Wix made me choose it over the other two competitors.
I do not think there was anything negative about using Wix. It was the best tool for what I needed.
First and foremost use cases for Wix include creating our own business website for my main business as well as the verticals I work in. I also create websites for other companies and businesses as an agency.
I am an e-commerce business and I have developed multiple types of websites. For example, with my e-commerce website, using the App Market, I have added the option of customization and gifting at checkout, which is not natively present in Wix.
Wix has been in business for approximately 10 or 12 years. The best features are the customization capabilities available with its no-code features. I have tried multiple other no-code tools and platforms. With Wix, I can customize it extensively and have the option to use multiple apps and plugins for adding numerous functionalities such as login, e-commerce, blogs, videos, podcasts, and bookings. I have the option to add each functionality using the Wix app directly, which is not as prevalent in other website builders.
Wix has two ways of creating a website. One is the AI website builder tool, where you input information and select choices. The second one is the drag-and-drop editor. The AI version has limited customizations and capabilities. However, with the drag-and-drop editor, I have the option to add my own elements. They have a variety of elements such as repeaters, layout tools, sections, collage, galleries, images, media, and other features. I have the option to customize it for all breakpoints according to how I want it to appear on desktop, tablet, and mobile phone.
I have utilized the integrated SEO tools in Wix. The tools are sufficient for managing schema markups and customizing them. I can add meta tags, meta descriptions, and receive a list of SEO-related issues or areas of improvement from a checklist. There is also an option to directly connect with Google Search Console.
I utilize the Wix App Market features extensively. The bookings, e-commerce, login, and other functionalities are provided by Wix apps. Some are developed by Wix itself and others by third parties. The App Market has a variety of apps in each different niche or category.
Integration with more Indian third-party apps and providers would be a feature I would appreciate in future releases of Wix. Operating out of India, we use many third-party tools such as payment gateways, shipping companies, and return tools. Currently, Wix does not have direct integration with these services.
The Wix editor can sometimes be glitched or buggy and requires a significant amount of memory on my computer. If I have a lower-end device, even though the editor runs on a browser, it may lag or have glitches at times.
I have been using Wix for approximately seven years.
Mobile optimization has been effective. I have the option to design the website for a mobile breakpoint. I can change the look and feel because some elements that look good on a desktop website may not look appropriate on a mobile website. I have the option to hide those elements and create something new for mobile, including changing font sizes and style. These options are beneficial. The only issue is that certain large font sizes don't appear very well on large-screen devices such as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, even after optimization.
Tech support at Wix is excellent. Most issues get resolved through chat communication. The billing support could be improved, but technical support is outstanding.
Positive
I have tried using WordPress, but it has not worked out for me. Wix is easier to learn and understand. Additionally, Wix's pricing point is favorable. Finally, Wix has more features compared to other CMS tools I have tried.
The initial setup with Wix is straightforward and quick.
The return on investment with Wix is excellent because hosting a website costs around 4,000 to 5,000 Indian Rupees, equivalent to $50 a year. I have access to all tools and functionalities, and I can generate as much sales as I want through Wix. It is very worthwhile.
Organizations considering Wix should first identify the actual use case of their website, whether it is lead generation, e-commerce, service booking, or selling a course. They should check the Wix App Market to ensure all required features and functionality are available, and review Wix help documentation to avoid missing any necessary features.
For new builders, it is advisable to start with a template or explore the Wix marketplace to access free templates and resources that are very helpful.
On a scale of 1-10, I rate Wix a 9 out of 10.

The client needed help with Wix platform. I have 15 years of experience in different niches including WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, custom PHP development, and other CMS for PHP based.
I have approximately 15 years of overall experience, with four to five years specifically working with Wix websites. While Wix projects are less common in the market, I primarily work with other platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow. Since Wix is a CMS-based platform, I can handle any custom work there.
The editor is effective, especially when fixing resolutions for desktop, mobile, and tablet.
The interface is not complicated. We have its own editor to design websites. We don't need to work separately for tablet and mobile since we can set and organize screen resolutions there.
Basic features can be grasped in a couple of hours because it's CMS-based with all tools readily available. For simple designing, HTML coding isn't necessary as it uses drag and drop features. For example, when adding images, we can select the image tool and insert it. For custom integrations such as Klaviyo, we can simply insert the embed code tool and insert our code.
Wix is an open-source platform, but it isn't as user-friendly as other CMS platforms such as WordPress. We must adhere to Wix terminology for custom work and follow their guidelines. While customization is possible, it has limitations.
Wix has drawbacks regarding website optimization and speed. It isn't particularly friendly for optimization purposes. I recommend Wix for simple informational websites rather than e-commerce platforms.
The coding aspect isn't user-friendly when custom work is required, as we are limited in capabilities. Additionally, Wix lacks good plugins and add-ons compared to other platforms.
I have approximately 15 years of overall experience, with four to five years or more specifically working with Wix websites.
I haven't experienced much downtime with the platform.
We face issues with speed performance because improving speed requires upgrading to their higher version to access optimization tools. I cannot give a good rating for the optimization capabilities.
I contacted support a long time ago and they provided assistance.
Positive
I prefer WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow over Wix.
I'm not entirely sure about Wix pricing as they have different plans. Typically, clients purchase their own plans and share access for work. I haven't personally purchased any Wix account.
Webflow is a similar platform that performs better compared to Wix.
I would rate Wix 7 to 8 out of 10.
The platform performs at an average speed, neither exceptionally fast nor slow.
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this solution an 8.

What I appreciate about Wix the most is that it is easy to use and integration of other applications is also easy, so that's why I prefer Wix over other apps.
I utilize the drag and drop editor in Wix. When it comes to drag and drop functionality in Wix, we don't have to code things. This helps a lot and you can customize things as per your need.
I use the integrated SEO tools in Wix. If I talk about the traffic, it's somehow helpful. I won't say that it is very helpful, but it is somewhat beneficial.
I use Wix's app market features. I have used each and every feature or product available in the Wix platform, except the Wix Studio editor.
In terms of functionality with Wix, integrating things is easy. We don't have to get into much coding, which helps and reduces our workload.
Wix has actually reduced my time in developing or delivering a website to the client, so I can have more clients in the pipeline. It's a time-saving solution and it is easy to implement.
I haven't used the mobile application feature for the website in Wix yet, so I would not be able to provide feedback on this feature.
When it comes to drag and drop, it sometimes creates problems when the size is not compatible. The most important issue is that the websites created on Wix don't have the compatibility of resizing themselves as per the Chrome window or the window being used. It doesn't resize according to the window size or the tab size.
Regarding the mobile site, we only get things that we have created or developed over the web version of the website. When designing the mobile website, it doesn't allow us to do more things, such as adding or editing. The mobile application or the mobile site needs to be improved with additional features.
More payment gateways need to be added for Wix. Payment gateway providers in India, such as Paytm, PhonePe, and other options are not currently supported by Wix.
I have been using Wix for more than six years.
I have raised many questions to the technical team of Wix.
I would rate the technical team of Wix around eight out of ten. They are very quick in resolving problems. I only had one problem that took too long to get resolved, but generally, I get every resolution on time.
Positive
For someone who is a beginner or a novice, the initial setup and onboarding process of Wix could be a bit challenging. However, for those who have experience or have already worked on frameworks, it's a very great platform to work on.
Wix has helped me significantly, and the return on investment with Wix is above average.
The pricing of Wix is best in comparison with other solutions, such as GoDaddy or Hostinger or some other applications or domain service providers. I really appreciate the pricing of the Wix platform.
I can provide detailed feedback regarding the improvements in Wix through email, as there are many things that need to be improved. When I start writing, I can provide a better picture of the improvements needed.
On a scale of 1-10, I rate Wix a 9.

I created two or three websites using Wix. I found everything okay in Wix, and it's easy to create a website. It already includes hosting, domain connections, SEO tools, other features, plus blogs and contact forms are good. I haven't used it in the same way as Shopify, but for now, it's good.
I have only been using it for the last one to two years, so I have only done three or four projects on Wix. The stability is good, not that bad, but it needs more improvement, such as loading. Loading is a very necessary thing, so I think Wix needs to work on their loading speed.
I prefer the drag-and-drop feature most of all.
Shopify provides many things such as customization and using Shopify Ads. So I feel Shopify has more flexibility than Wix.
Wix is quite slow. When I use Wix, it's a bit slower than Shopify. The websites are a little bit slow, taking more time to load.
The stability is good, not that bad, but it needs more improvement, such as loading. Loading is a very necessary thing, so I think Wix needs to work on their loading speed.
I've been using it for the last one to two years.
The stability is good, not that bad, but it needs more improvement, such as loading.
I don't have any idea about it, but I work in an IT company. There are 300 employees, and I think they prefer Shopify more than Wix. So if they have a project in Wix, they will convert these projects to Shopify.
Shopify is one of the best CMS.
It's not that tough to learn Wix. It's simple. You can use it for one or two months and you will be good at using Wix.
Every website needs maintenance, so obviously a website needs maintenance. Also, Wix needs to maintain their servers. Everything needs maintenance; it's mandatory. Maintenance is important for everything.
My name is Kumar Gupta, and I work at Cybertronics. I gave this review a rating of 6 out of 10.

I work as a freelancer and use Wix to create websites based on my client's needs.
I like the solution's responsiveness, usability, and user interface.
The solution’s scalability can be improved.
I have been using Wix since 2021.
I rate Wix an eight out of ten for stability.
I rate Wix a seven out of ten for scalability.
I previously used GoDaddy.
The solution's initial setup is not complex.
It takes just a couple of hours to deploy Wix.
Wix is an affordable solution.
I would recommend Wix to other users who want to design websites.
Overall, I rate Wix an eight out of ten.
