Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is useful for those who run an infrastructure where there might arise a need to do some transition or want to opt for digital transformation. Everyone who uses the solution, be it a public, private, or whatever type of company. For some of the infrastructures, the tool is worth it.

The solution's most valuable feature stems from how much the tool supports your comfort.

The price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required.

I have been using Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup for a year and a half. I don't use the solution's latest version. I mainly focus on the reselling part of the product in my company.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I rate the product's initial setup phase an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is a difficult setup phase, and ten is an easy setup phase.

The product's installation phase took me around two weeks. On average, it usually takes about a week or two to deploy when everything is in place.

The solution is deployed on a hybrid cloud from Azure.

On a scale of one to ten, where one is affordable or low, and ten is expensive or high, I rate the price as two.

I recommend the solution to those who plan to use it.

I rate the overall product a nine out of ten.

Nutanix helps my clients in the power industry have a smaller footprint.

Nutanix can converge legacy-style rack mount servers, so it is highly scalable.

Nutanix is not a complete package for micro-segmentation, security, or compliance to 62443 for IEC systems. Nutanix is not secure enough, and it needs to be more resilient.

I have worked as an integrator with Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup for three years.

I rate Nutanix's stability an eight out of ten because you connect to the platform and the software application instead of the underlying infrastructure.

Nutanix is a highly scalable solution. The tech is highly scalable, but scalable is a loose term. If you wanted to go scalable, you would go to a hyper-converged platform. I rate Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup's scalability an eight out of ten. About 20 clients are using the product. My clients are large-scale miners that run power stations nationwide, and Nutanix fits a small part of their business.

I rate the initial setup a seven out of ten because I rarely use it. The deployment time varies depending on what my client is trying to do, how many installation sites there are, or if it's across one or 20 data centers. Deploying the solution can take anywhere from a few hours to a few months, depending on the complexity of the solution. The infrastructure platform to us is not the important part. It is how we make it compliant with things like the SOCI Act in Australia. Doing the design takes time, but installation doesn't. The steps taken depend on whether we're it's a brownfield or greenfield installment. Brownfield depends on operational impact tests. We're running the solution 24/7 operational side. We don't have downtime. We can't do it at night. Our installations vary depending on the customer's operations. The greenfield is very different. We'll build and deploy the solution after factory testing it and shift it to the site. We could be a thousand kilometers from a capital city.

I rate the pricing a five out of ten because the price is average. The price is fixed, but it depends on what software we're running.

I don't like Nutanix. I prefer VMware. It's more robust and mature. I wouldn't recommend Nutanix to anyone. I only use Nutanix because customers want it. I recommend using UCS with VMware because it is the better solution. If someone asked me about Nutanix, I'd tell them VMware is my first preference, Hyper-V is my second, and I would only choose Nutanix if it were already installed, never for a greenfield installation. The other hypervisors are much more mature products with much larger technical skill bases for support in Australia.

We have the whole Nutanix suite, mostly for visualization and disaster recovery.

I like the autofill-over feature and the simplicity of the solution. The solution is easy to use, and the user interface is quite straightforward.

It was a little bit difficult to implement this product. The solution's setup process should be simplified.

I have been using Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup for just over a year.

Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is a stable product.

Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is a scalable solution. Over one hundred people are using Nutanix Mine in our company. We are going to increase the usage as the need arises. We need three admins for the solution.

The solution's technical support is great, especially the feature where the system can create tickets remotely. The support team picks up the tickets almost instantly and calls you for support.

Before Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup, we worked with NetApp. However, from the onset, NetApp's setup wasn't done properly. So it didn't work as we had wanted it to work.

The initial setup was not straightforward. There was a delay on our part for the deployment because we took time to provide some data center switches. However, if that wasn't the case, we could have done it in about a week. We needed just three people to deploy the solution, including a project manager, system admins, and people handling security and database.

We had to bring in a consultant who was very helpful and Linux-schooled. We noted that Nutanix is easier to implement for someone who knows a lot about Linux. We went for training so that we could relate to the system and build confidence over time.

We are in the first year of using Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup and going into the next year. By the end of our support, as we get to year three, we will know if we have an ROI with the solution.

Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is fairly priced. We have three-year support for the entire Nutanix installation.

Before choosing Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup, we did evaluate Quorum. However, we were informed that it did not support the Oracle database, so we could not proceed with it. One year later, Quorum called us and told us they support Oracle, but by then, we had already settled on Nutanix.

Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is a good product, and I would encourage others to use it.

Overall, I rate Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup an eight and a half out of ten.

We use all the products on the Nutanix platform, including Nutanix Mine, Nutanix AHV, Nutanix Prism Central, Nutanix Database, Nutanix Blueprint and Playbooks.

We use this solution as an integrated backup solution and it is integrated from the backup provider to the Nutanix solution. We use the backup solutions from Hycu, Veeam, Commvault or Rubrik with Nutanix storage.

This solution could be improved with regards to the hosts that integrate with the platform itself. Each of the hosts integrated with the storage and networking only provide one instance of a backup. 

For example, for 10 physical hosts or virtualized hosts in my infrastructure, only one host is used for the computing utilization for the backup. All the other hosts are just used as backup repository. Most of the resources such as memory and CPU are not used. This is where there is room for improvement. 

We have used this solution for seven months. 

This is a stable solution. 

This is a scalable solution from a storage point of view. Nutanix Mine has two parts. The first part is the backup solution. The second part is the Nutanix platform. The Nutanix platform is scalable but the backup provider itself is not scalable.

I would rate their support a nine out of ten.

The main reason we use Nutanix Mine is for cloud users.

Nutanix has its own backup system known as HYCU, as well as its own virtual server.

They are very good at saving at the storage.

I'm not sure what could be better. It is, in my opinion, one of the best products available right now.

I would like to see the multi-cloud improve.

Because I work in sales, I am not involved in the technical aspects of the solution. According to the consultants who are implementing Nutanix, it is very simple.

The pricing could be improved. It's an expensive solution.

While Nutanix Mine is extremely expensive for small businesses, it is a very cost-effective product for enterprise businesses.

It is ideal for enterprises and the mid-market.

I am in sales. We are distributors, we are only selling solutions. 

Nutanix, in my opinion, will eventually take over.

Our primary use case for the solution is to back up our devices and equipment for employees and some equipment in airport software. We deploy the solution in a hybrid format.

We find the ease of use valuable.

The solution could be cheaper and they should include more education or marketing materials for users to understand how to use the solution.

We have been using the solution for approximately four years.

The solution is stable.

The solution is scalable. Approximately 250 people are currently utilizing the solution in our organization.

I cannot comment on the price of the solution.
