Ease of backup and restore improves data management with reliable support
The interface of BDRSuite Backup & Replication is pretty intuitive. Regarding their marketing strategy, I'm very bad at marketing. I always get a little edgy when people try to shove their product in my face. There are two sides to the story. If you don't know something exists, you might not even start to look for it unless you really know that you need it. If you are explicitly looking for a solution, then you'll find it. People that don't know that they should do backup don't have a place in IT. I rate BDRSuite Backup & Replication 8.5 out of 10.

An affordable product that offers a reasonably good technical support
I rate the product's initial setup phase an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is a difficult setup phase, and ten is an easy setup phase. The product's installation phase took me around two weeks. On average, it usually takes about a week or two to deploy when everything is in place. The solution is deployed on a hybrid cloud from Azure.

Pros

"It makes it possible for us to back up our Unix machines without installing a host, client, or any client software. It gives us some peace of mind in regards to those servers getting backed up."
"Any organization that is looking to deploy a backup solution in their environment with minimal time commitment and the highest level of confidence in being able to restore their data should be seriously considering one of the Vembu Technologies backup solutions."
"I get my backups done."
"BDRSuite can help organizations save time and money by automating backup and recovery processes and reducing the need for manual intervention."
"The prior solution took hours to restore a computer, but with Vembu BDR I installed the trial with no assistance, performed a backup and restore easily, and the restore time took only 15 minutes."
"We are now using it 24/7 because it is serving as an online backup, and very soon, the DR will activated on the product."
"Overall, this suite is very good; it delivers an enterprise-level data protection solution and helps us reduce our budget while being cost-effective."
"The most valuable feature is its ability to copy quickly. We have about 12 terabytes, and trying to copy that volume size through the file structure would take a week. BDRSuite has a different approach to copying and is much faster."
"I like the autofill-over feature and the simplicity of the solution."
"We use this solution as an integrated backup solution and it is integrated from the backup provider to the Nutanix solution."
"Nutanix, in my opinion, will eventually take over."
"Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is useful for those who run an infrastructure where there might arise a need to do some transition or want to opt for digital transformation."
"Our primary use case for the solution is to back up our devices and equipment for employees and some equipment in airport software."
"Nutanix has its own backup system known as HYCU, as well as its own virtual server."
"Nutanix can converge legacy-style rack mount servers, so it is highly scalable."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten...Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten...I rate the technical support a nine out of ten."

Cons

"We are still exploring its features, but we want to see more features that we desire over time."
"I had a small problem integrating VMware and Hyper-V when customers used a free VMware license to create VMs. This is a problem because many customers use the free version of VMware. There are also some issues backing up old systems. They have a little difficulty but can always get strong support from customer service."
"It's not that stable yet. Every two weeks, my backup will stop and I have to check it."
"I suggest that the dump of the database have the option to either be backed up to Vembu Cloud or be backed up to all backup sites and not only to default storage."
"They can work on their cloud solution. In these days, the data becomes too much and you have to back up a lot of data to the site. They could offer cheaper storage to their clients with the cloud, making this a single source of truth solution. In our project, we are using two service providers: One who offers our storage and another who offers the software. If they work on their cloud solution and can offer their clients lower prices for this type of storage, this would be a really good improvement."
"The response time of the support could be improved a little bit. Sometimes, I need to wait for two or three hours to get support. With VMware, we can get urgent support in an hour. Other than that, I'm pretty good with BDRSuite."
"I have seen that the BDRSuite user interface can be less intuitive and more challenging to navigate compared to other similar products."
"The system died twice and it was apparently the result of corrupted disk sectors. I tried to work with tech support to fix it, but they essentially gave up. So twice, I had to rebuild our server."
"The solution's setup process should be simplified."
"It could be cheaper."
"This solution could be improved with regards to the hosts that integrate with the platform itself. Each of the hosts integrated with the storage and networking only provide one instance of a backup."
"I would like to see the multi-cloud improve."
"The pricing could be improved. It's an expensive solution."
"Nutanix is not secure enough, and it needs to be more resilient."
"The price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The solution could be cheaper and they should include more education or marketing materials for users to understand how to use the solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is affordable. It has value with respect to the features included in the software."
"For our needs, the price of the backup system is not too much... We checked out Veeam and Acronis but both were very expensive compared to Vembu."
"The high availability is too expensive for our customers."
"One thing to note is that when you configure which virtual machine you're going to back up, if it's on one physical machine, they license it there. If it automatically fails over to a second machine, the license doesn't automatically move over with it. If they could make that a little more streamlined, that would be an improvement."
"Price-wise, it is much cheaper than its counterparts. I like its pricing, and its price is okay. The lesser they take, the more profit we can make, but we are happy with its price. It is very affordable. We were working with a client, and they were looking for backup software and had a very tight budget. When I told them that Vembu is only going to cost around $400 to $500, they were shocked. They didn't believe me, so I showed them the website so that they can check the price themselves. Of course, if they agree to that price, we get a 15% rebate as a managed service provider."
"The pricing is very good."
"We were able to take advantage of a promotional pricing campaign."
"The pricing could have been cheaper."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is affordable or low, and ten is expensive or high, I rate the price as two."
"Nutanix Mine Integrated Backup is fairly priced."
"I rate the pricing a five out of ten because the price is average."
"While Nutanix Mine is extremely expensive for small businesses, it is a very cost-effective product for enterprise businesses."
