I primarily use the solution for backups and disaster recovery.

The security is very effective.

It provides us with a single cloud-based console to manage all our backup and recovery operations.

It's easy to use for me. I've used some other clouds and found them hard to understand or to manage things. This platform makes it easy to do so many things all from one place.

I like the built-in security features, encryption, and data backup capabilities.  

The product never gives me an error. It runs smoothly, and I've never had a delay in the backup recovery. 

It has affected the time we spend managing our backup infrastructure. We've saved a little time. 

We use the deduplication capabilities.

It's helped us reduce the cost of long-term data retention. It's good compared to other solutions we've used. The security and speed of the system are quite helpful to us.

The solution does provide automatic updates. 

The dashboard should be updated. I'd like to see something more modern.

There are other companies that are more cost-efficient.

Sometimes when I upgrade a backup, I get a certain error. However, I've contacted them and they say they've fixed it. I'm not sure, however.

I've been using the solution for 2 years. 

Aside from uploading errors occasionally, I've never had any issues with stability. 

We're in the early stages of usage. It would be too easy to judge its ability to scale. 

I've only had to contact technical support once. Their service was fine.

I have used different solutions in the past. 

The initial setup was very easy. We didn't face any difficulty. How many people are needed to implement the solution depends on the size of the company.

We do not have to worry about any maintenance. The vendor takes care of that on their end. 

We had a third party connect GreenLake to us. 

The licensing is smooth, and the pricing is okay. 

I'd rate the solution 9 out of 10. I'd advise users to study the model of the solution first; otherwise, they may face problems. 

We use the solution to run demos and show the product. We also use it for backup and recovery in our environment, protecting some of the most important virtual machines.

We wanted to remove the complexity in the management and the backup software management. The backup infrastructure and also the licensing are easy.

We've removed complexity when managing complexity. As a result, we've been able to save time managing our backup system, and the recovery process is also easier.

The simple way to manage and to operate the product are its most valuable aspects. Having the possibility to not only back up the on-prem virtual machines, but also the virtual machines from the cloud has been quite useful. Also, we can backup our virtual machines to the cloud in a really cost-effective way, because it uses that compression and deduplication the product provides. That way, not going to have extra cost. That's really, really important.

The solution provides a single cloud-based console to manage backup and recovery operations. That's important. You have also, for example, other services like Block Storage or DR, everything integrated in one single platform (HPE GreenLake). You don't have to spend time connecting to one site or one device or another. It helps you to do things quickly.

The dashboard gives us a view of the protection status and actions we need to take to ensure protection. We have everything there. If we have some problems, it's going to show us. The dashboard is great for providing a quick overview.

The built-in security features (encryption, backup data, immutability, and dual authorization) are all really important. The protection that the GreenLake platform provides makes us feel really confident about our security against attacks. If your backups are not going to be deleted, you can recover them within a few minutes.

We use the solution to protect our on-premises virtual machines. With a single login, we can protect our VMs on-premises and in the cloud. It's a really good approach. You don't need to access, for example, the AWS portal. You have everything integrated with the console. With a single Internet connection, you can protect your virtual machines on-premises or in the cloud.

The fact that the solution provides backup and recovery for both on-prem and cloud-native workloads is very helpful. Everything can be done quickly, and it's overall easier. That's the key: simplicity.

HPE GreenLake Backup and Recovery has positively affected the amount of time we spend managing our backup infrastructure. Having that unique access point to the backup system and schedule and so on, helps in reducing a lot of time spent. We've likely cut time spent by 70%.  

Deduplication and compression features helped reduce the cost of backup storage and networking. They are one of the features that allows us to do everything really quickly. It reduces the amount of data going through the network. 

The always-on deduplication and compression features have helped to reduce the cost of long-term data retention. When you send it to the cloud, and you already have it compressed and deduplicated, you're going to spend less money.

We'd like to have the ability to protect virtual machines from other Service Providers. 

If you need to recover an environment and you have suffered from ransomware, it's difficult to start again with Backup and Recovery service. You are going to see the old backups and systems, and it's difficult to delete them and you'll need help from Support.

I've been using the solution for two and a half years. 

I'd rate the stability eight out of ten. It's pretty stable.

We primarily work with SMBs. I'd rate scalability nine out of ten. 

I have used other solutions in the past. I've used Commvault and Veeam. The backup and recovery could do less tasks. That said, now they are all quite similar and do a lot of the same things. The data reduction technology from HPE has been very impressive, however. It's one of the best. It has a really good efficiency ratio. 

The initial setup is straightforward. Deploying the solution only takes hours. One person could handle the deployment and have it up in a few hours or so. 

There isn't any maintenance needed.

The pricing is reasonable. 

I'd recommend the solution to other users. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
