| Author info | Rating | Review Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Security Pre Sales at a computer software company with 501-1,000 employees | 3.0 | I use Forcepoint for enterprise endpoint DLP, valuing its machine learning and threat detection across hybrid environments. I find its stability not the best and it's expensive, requiring a large team, despite very good customer support. |
| Associate Vice President at Hitachi Systems, Ltd. | 3.0 | As a Forcepoint partner, I value its DLP but find Forcepoint ONE unstable and support declining. Lacking SASE advancement and requiring high DSPM resources, Forcepoint needs better web, CASB, and scalability. I rate it 6/10 overall. |
| Senior Technical Lead at Valuepoint Systems | 3.5 | I've used Forcepoint for 8-9 years, finding it generally satisfactory for data protection, especially its ML features and hybrid adaptability. While setup is manageable, I'd like to see improved support and more AI-focused data controls. Overall, I rate it 7/10. |
| Cybersecurity Engineer at a tech services company with 11-50 employees | 2.5 | I find Forcepoint offers good web security and visibility, but its setup is complex, components are old, and the UI is outdated. Customer service is difficult to understand, and its ML features are ineffective. It's expensive but a DLP leader. |

My use case for Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is related to exportation and data loss prevention, and principally, it protects the endpoints for data loss prevention and protects the company.
I believe Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is the best product in the market for data loss prevention for enterprise companies, and you can work together with Microsoft to protect the information for data loss prevention. I believe it is the best endpoint solution for controlling data loss prevention in the endpoints.
I use the machine learning feature in Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]. For example, it helps identify positive documents and negative documents, which can be useful in client cases involving AutoCAD for creating situations in machines. I think machine learning helps my company protect the specific documents regarding this issue.
I think the visibility into user behavior for threat detection provided by Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is very useful because you can obtain information on users or machines with unusual activities. For instance, a user connecting at an unusual time such as Friday at 3:00 a.m. or on Saturday is a sign of potential malicious activity. When the user does not exhibit usual activity, it can lead to the extraction of information from the company. With this component, you can detect such activity.
I think Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s adaptability across cloud and on-premises environments is very useful for my cybersecurity needs because our company has both environments. You need an application that combines both, as users have on-premises databases and can share information with Microsoft environments or other clouds. It is crucial to connect these environments and know how information is shared between them.
I think there is room for improvement in Forcepoint [Private Offer Only], particularly in data loss prevention for clients. You need to apply stricter use cases that meet client necessities.
I have been using this solution for more or less four or five years.
I think the stability of Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is not the best, and I would rate it as a five.
Approximately 700 users work with Forcepoint [Private Offer Only], which is related to 1,000 users.
I rate the technical support of Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] as very good. I have opened many cases with them, and I believe the support is very good. I rate the support from Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] as a nine out of ten.
I compare Forcepoint with Microsoft or Fortinet.
In my experience, about 80% of the cases for Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] deployment occur in the on-premises environment for controlling the endpoints.
I am a partner of Forcepoint [Private Offer Only].
Regarding pricing, I find Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] expensive.
When a client has all their environment deployed in Microsoft, it is easier to deal with Microsoft. However, when the client does not work with an environment related to Microsoft, it is easier to deploy Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] or other vendors.
I would recommend Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] as a very good, useful product, but it requires a big team to maintain the infrastructure, and you need to work on many cases for deployment correctly. I think it may not be very useful for smaller teams, given the requirement for a big team to maintain the product. I rate this product overall as a six.
My organizational responsibility regarding Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is that we are a system integrated company. We have a high-level partnership with Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] to deliver implementation and provide support services across all industry verticals.
We work with specific Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] products including DLP, Endpoint DLP, and Web DLP. We do not work on Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] ONE due to instability issues with that product. However, we are working on DLP, on-premises web, and cloud web as well.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s data security capability is impressive. When it comes to enhancements such as moving to SASE, Secure Web Gateway, or private access, Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] lags, which has led competitors such as Netskope and Zscaler to gain ground during the COVID period.
Predefined classifiers within DLP, such as user behavior analytics, are capabilities provided by Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]. Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] also provides a platform for directing malicious and suspicious URLs.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s machine learning features are underutilized, primarily because users must provide positive and negative details to the platform.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] requires high resource requirements for the DSPM server, especially compared to other solutions. Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] uses a single server to run resource-intensive processes such as discovery on on-premises and cloud data sources.
We are not currently working on Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] ONE due to its instability.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] needs enhancements such as adding a single endpoint for DLP, CASB, and Web, which would allow for a seamless customer experience by avoiding multiple agents on DLP and CASB.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s customer support has seen a decline over the past five years, with feedback indicating late support and difficult communication.
There is an expectation for additional features such as complete functionality in SaaS DLP that matches on-premises DLP and real-time control for cloud web.
Improvements are necessary in the scalability of new capabilities, such as single endpoint and integration with other solutions. Current features such as DSPM still have complexities that need simplification.
I have been working with Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] for the past fifteen years.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] ONE has shown instability issues that prevent its use. This instability prevents meeting customer requirements during deployment, leading to replacement with other solutions.
Despite easy deployment for solutions such as DLP and web security, Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] Security Manager lacks scalability features such as hot standby for failover. DSPM installation process and resources also need enhancement.
The major concern is poor responsiveness from Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s technical support, causing customers to move away. Basic troubleshooting is not even performed by the technical support team.
Customer feedback highlights delays, with ticket assignment taking days and improper communication from engineers.
Deployment is easy for DLP, web security, and SaaS DLP. However, technical resources and failover processes for DSPM and Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] Security Manager are complex and need improvements.
Pricing for Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] products is reasonable, but product enhancement costs may be higher.
Pricing is determined by features and functionality stability. In some scenarios where features are unmatched by competitors, pricing consideration becomes secondary to stability and coverage.
Threat mitigation capabilities within Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] are mainly predefined with web security gateway and DLP. I have not worked with any Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] solution that extensively includes threat mitigation features.
There is a predefined classifier within DLP of Forcepoint [Private Offer Only], and Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] previously had an insider threat solution that I have not deployed.
I would rate Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] between five and six out of ten. A rating of six is appropriate for me because Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is strong in DLP. However, they need improvements in the web part, CASB, and DSPM in terms of resources. My overall review rating for Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is six out of ten.
I am still working with Forcepoint [Private Offer Only], and I have not shifted to something else. I have been working with Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] overall for almost more than eight to nine years. I work as a Senior Lead Technical in the company.
I have been generally satisfied with Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] products, and it is meeting the requirements. I have utilized Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s machine learning features, which have helped identify security breaches effectively.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] has provided visibility into user behavior for threat detection in my organization very effectively. I have employed this function, but not full-fledged; I used it more as a testing phase rather than in full implementation.
The importance of Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s adaptability across cloud and on-premises environments is significant, as we have used components of multiple environments, including on-premise servers and the cloud DLP services. In terms of the metrics I track to evaluate Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s threat mitigation effectiveness, the cloud part allows us to avoid hosting any servers or resources; we only need to provide login credentials and use it as a service where we can configure policies straightforwardly and start using it.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] can be improved in terms of product-wise, which is fine, but slightly on the support side. Post-implementation support or support tickets may be required to improve, as sometimes tickets take a long duration to resolve and get identified.
In the future, I would like to see additional features in Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] to bring it closer to a ten. Since Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is focused on data, especially on the data protection side, if we had more controls or more visibility on the AI side with AI application-based insights into what is happening with the AI application, how it is being used, and how it can be controlled with compliance, that would be great.
I have been working with Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] overall for almost more than eight to nine years.
The quality of support depends on the variety of the tickets or nature of the issues. Out of ten, I can give eight for their technical support.
The initial setup is not complex, but in terms of resource requirement, it may be higher. However, it is not too complex if we have a better plan and understanding of the actual requirements.
Overall, I would rate Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] as seven out of ten.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] has provided good visibility into user behavior for threat detection. If you use the web security, it is better than other products.
There is room for improvement in Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]; some components are too old. For example, the product uses tools like PCAP or Npcap for capturing packets using an old module, which cannot be accepted by customers. Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] should use Npcap to replace WinPcap, which has been around for a long time, but Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] is still using this very old module.
Besides this, the user interface does not look appealing. The user interface could be significantly improved.
I would rate Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s technical support as maybe five out of ten. The technical staff from Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] are in India, but customers do not understand what the technical staff from India says, although they speak English. The English they speak is different from other English-speaking countries like the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia. The English that Indians speak is not understandable; customers cannot understand what the Indian technical staff communicates. In short, I don't understand why the technical staff are always from India because of their English accent; they speak a different kind of English.
It is not easy to deploy Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]; the initial setup is complex. It is not a one-click product. Besides installation, configuration, and different operating systems, it is a complex product.
The difficulties I might face with the deployment include troubleshooting and configuration. If you do any modification, then you have to change many things.
I have not utilized Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s machine learning features; I just read the paper for machine learning about DLP, but I don't think the machine learning within Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] DLP is working because it is not very useful compared to fingerprinting.
Regarding the issues I see with their machine learning capabilities, the DLP has machine learning, but I don't think the machine learning of the DLP is working because of false positives. That is the problem due to false positives.
I have not employed Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s user and entity behavior analytics.
Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s adaptability across cloud and on-premises environments is important because most of our customers are still using on-premises solutions, and they are afraid of data in the cloud and data leakage to the internet. Most customers are using on-premises.
I am not sure about the metrics I track to evaluate Forcepoint [Private Offer Only]'s threat mitigation effectiveness.
I think the pricing of Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] products is expensive.
In Data Loss Prevention, I see Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] as the leader; I see good competition.
I would like to see improvements in the UI and the AI capability in the future to make Forcepoint [Private Offer Only] better. I give this review an overall rating of five.
