Check Point Quantum Force has helped with threat identification and response, as we are providing it.
The most valuable features I find in Check Point Quantum Force are the security policy features, including all security features that are provided by firewall, IPS/IDS.
The integrated security management console is effective.
I assess the real-time threat intelligence positively, and I note that real-time sandboxing is available.
Regarding firewall protection, I find Check Point Quantum Force satisfactory since it is a firewall product.
I find granular visibility in policy management with Check Point Quantum Force very valuable. Policy management is excellent as it is a smart-zone based firewall. The interface-based approach allows us to manage the policy easily, and there is a section available to segregate the policy according to our organizational sections.
I have observed weaknesses in Check Point Quantum Force, particularly when configuring tunnels from any point product to a peer, which has very complex configuration requirements. I must create a star topology or community in which I need to define some configuration, and it is not straightforward communication for IPSec. In comparison, another brand such as Palo Alto firewall offers very straightforward configuration. However, in Check Point, the complexity is present. I believe it would be beneficial if they could improve the configuration part.
An additional feature I would appreciate in Check Point Quantum Force in the future is an easier way to manage and configure, along with real-time monitoring. From a user perspective, it would be beneficial to have all gateway tunnel monitoring in one window. Currently, there are different tabs for monitoring, and if I want to check the monitoring status, it would be better if I could access it all in a single window, as other firewalls offer. With Check Point Quantum Force, I currently check the tunnel status, which involves monitoring in another smart console that will open and show the status. I would prefer a smart console that consolidates all the statuses, such as tunnel status, tunnel monitoring status, and log status, in a single window rather than navigating to different windows.
I have been working with Check Point Quantum Force for the last one year.
I would rate the technical support from Check Point Quantum Force as an eight, as I have found it to be of high quality.
Positive
I would rate this product a nine overall.

I am dealing mostly with firewalls and I am working with Check Point Quantum Force. I have utilized the capability to secure only the on-premises environments and not in cloud.
Check Point Quantum Force has been in use for approximately eight years. The integrated security management console is effective. I have utilized Check Point Quantum Force firewall protection. In performance and threat prevention, it has benefited my cybersecurity strategy.
I would assess Check Point Quantum Force's real-time threat intelligence in guarding against ransomware as not effective. I have not used its real-time threat intelligence. I am not very familiar with the granular visibility in policy management of Check Point Quantum Force. The price remains the same, and I see room for improvement for Check Point Quantum Force.
I see good competition which is less expensive. The overall response time and overall competence are areas I would improve. I do not want to see any additional features in Check Point Quantum Force in the future.
I have been working in this field for 11 years.
I think the technical support by Check Point is a seven.
Positive
I am a reseller of F5, and I am also reselling other vendors, including their competitors like Check Point, Cisco, and Palo Alto. I am reselling Check Point and Palo Alto.
I have Palo Alto and FortiGate from Fortinet to recommend instead of Check Point Quantum Force.
I am mostly dealing with the firewall in Check Point products. I would rate this review as a 9.
I am currently working with Fortinet Firewall, Fortinet Switch, Fortinet Authenticator, FortiNet Net, Fortinet Authenticator and FortiGate Analyzer.
We have both integrator and implementation capabilities similar to Sophos, Palo Alto, and Check Point, depending on customer requirements.
Check Point Quantum Force is used for internal security. We have a customer whose requirement is for both external and internal security. We use Check Point Quantum Force for internal security and Palo Alto for external security, with both in HA mode. For central management, we are using Panorama in Palo Alto and Check Point Quantum Force manager. Across all 50 to 60 locations, we are using a Palo Alto lower version.
The security features and layered security features are better compared to others. Configuration and monitoring features, policies features, and configuration features are displayed separately, with each part showing in a different tab rather than everything on one monitor. Fortinet and Sophos show all the features in only one tab on one monitor with everything displayed together. Check Point and Palo Alto show features in different tabs on one monitor, with interface and routing features in one tab, monitoring features in another tab, and dashboard features with GUI and policies analysis in separate tabs.
Their technical support is good and the technical team provides better resolutions.
Policy management feature is good, allowing us to easily manage all the policies in one place. Policies are separate and distinct, making it easy to apply security features within each policy.
Sophos has a low price, so customers with lower budgets will purchase Sophos. Customers with good budgets who want security features will implement Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Check Point because these are enterprise-level solutions and provide better security. Sophos is only compared for its price point.
Price is a significant factor. When we refer customers to Check Point Quantum Force, the price is high compared to other firewalls, and customers are not agreeable because their budgets do not accommodate Check Point Quantum Force. Fortinet firewall and Sophos firewall are more easily available and have more accessible pricing compared to Check Point Quantum Force and Palo Alto.
Check Point Quantum Force does not have strong local support. We are based in India, and Check Point Quantum Force does not have extensive local support. It takes time for responses, and sometimes they provide local SI contact numbers, but we sometimes face delayed problem resolution rather than quick action.
Their technical support is good and the technical team provides better resolutions when issues arise.
In comparison to others, I would rate my support experience as a seven.
Check Point Quantum Force does not have strong local support. We are based in India, and Check Point Quantum Force does not have extensive local support in our region. It takes time for responses, and sometimes they provide local SI contact numbers, but we sometimes experience delayed problem resolution rather than receiving quick action.
Positive
The basic setup process is simple and not complex.
I am currently working with the vendor Fortinet and other brands as well.
I work with Palo Alto Firewall and Check Point Quantum Force Firewall and no other products.
I am satisfied with Check Point Quantum Force and Palo Alto. In comparison, I would rank Palo Alto as number one, Check Point Quantum Force as number two, Fortinet as number three, and Sophos as number four.
In firewall protection, the security features are better.
Palo Alto has a better GUI compared to Check Point Quantum Force. Palo Alto offers better zero-day security capabilities, and when compared for upgradation and policy analysis, Palo Alto is superior to Check Point Quantum Force. The GUI and graphical features in Palo Alto are better than those in Check Point Quantum Force.
My overall rating for this solution is nine.

The main use case for Check Point Quantum Force is to protect us from the outside world. Check Point Quantum Force is preferable for most of our clients in the perimeter. That means it will be the gateway for our network to get into the internal network. The use case for this solution is the perimeter network.
Check Point Quantum Force uses modern AI-based threat prevention techniques. It uses AI engines such as CloudGuard or ThreatCloud. It frequently updates and potentially detects newer and known zero-day threats. As a perimeter network, there are many services that are open for outside clients, the public service. The only way to prevent that perimeter DMZ network is a perimeter gateway, which means Check Point Quantum Force. Check Point Quantum Force helps us to prevent our DMZ networks that are accessible publicly. It helps us to prevent our perimeter networks.
It is compact and efficient hardware, consisting of one unit or two rack units, so its form factor is good. Its power efficiency is good. It has very high block rates with a prevention rate of about 99%.
Check Point Quantum Force offers a unified solution management, which can be managed through a Security Management Server in one single console. It is easy to deploy and manage through a single console. Its resilience and scalability are notable, and its cluster capability is very nice. It is modular, with flexibility for growth, meaning it is scalable.
Check Point Quantum Force has strong threat prevention. Users report that the AI-driven engines such as sandboxing, IPS, and URL filtering are effective, especially against zero-day and advanced threats. It gives us unified visibility and control, meaning having a central management point for varied environments, such as data centers, branch offices, and clouds, and it helps with policy consistency. Under high pressure, the performance is very good.
Since using Check Point Quantum Force, we noticed a significant change because it holds different blades including Application Control, URL filtering, and threat prevention blades such as Threat Emulation and Threat Extraction. These features combine to form SandBlast and IPS. These features are merged together to prevent us from the latest cyber attacks and different cyber threats. The outcomes from Check Point Quantum Force firewall gave us the ability to be fit and secure from the cyber world. It also improves our security posture.
Since implementing Check Point Quantum Force, we have noticed fewer incidents and saved time by blocking applications that consume bandwidth and create network congestion. We can block them easily through Check Point Quantum Force, which solved the bandwidth consumption issues for us.
I have noticed some limitations with Check Point Quantum Force. There is a limitation in integrating with existing infrastructure, such as orchestration and logging, specifically with VPNs. VPNs are hard and sophisticated to deploy on this firewall. However, it is improving currently.
Some performance aspects need higher resources. If you do not give it higher resources, it will slow down your network. It is a trade-off - if you have higher resources, you will have good performance.
The complexity of configuring a VPN needs to be improved because we need to go back and forth to configure VPNs. It has to be simpler to understand.
I have been working in my current field for almost three years.
Check Point Quantum Force is stable. It has some adoption issues, but it is good and stable.
Check Point Quantum Force is scalable because you can scale it as you wish.
My experience with customer support has improved significantly. Previously, I was not satisfied with it, but currently, it exceeds my expectations.
Positive
We have used Cisco ASA before, which lacks many features. Check Point Quantum Force has significantly more capabilities than this firewall. As it is a next-generation firewall, we cannot compare them. We shifted from Cisco ASA to Check Point Quantum Force because of the features available in this next-generation firewall.
Check Point Quantum Force is deployed on-premises in my organization.
I have seen a return on investment. By blocking applications that consume high bandwidth and create network congestion, we can block them easily through Check Point Quantum Force. That resolved the bandwidth consumption issues for us.
In terms of pricing, setup cost, and licensing, many users and clients say that the pricing is high. The license structure, with which blades and features are included and what extra licenses you need to apply, is somewhat complex. The cost is a trade-off. If you want good quality, you have to have the budget to buy it. Check Point Quantum Force is worth the investment.
Before choosing Check Point Quantum Force, I evaluated other options such as Palo Alto firewall and Fortinet FortiGate.
My advice to others considering Check Point Quantum Force is that if you want to prevent your network from different attacks and various techniques of attack, you need this Quantum Force solution. There are many features regarding this Quantum Force firewall. You can use these firewall features to manage your network and protect your resources from cybercriminals.
We are resellers and partners of Check Point. We sell Check Point products in our country and deploy different products of Check Point. I am responsible for deploying different Check Point firewalls and have completed various projects. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Check Point Quantum Force a 9.
