Successfully deployed and configured a Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) cluster in a disconnected (air-gapped) environment. Set up a local container registry, mirrored OpenShift release images and operators, configured DNS, load balancers, networking, and storage integration. Installed and validated control plane and worker nodes, configured authentication and RBAC, and managed cluster operators from mirrored repositories. Performed post-installation configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management while ensuring security, reliability, high availability, and compliance with enterprise infrastructure standards.
If I had to do it again, I would focus more on pre-installation planning, dependency validation, and automation. This would reduce troubleshooting time, improve deployment consistency, and make future OpenShift upgrades and maintenance easier.
