Please have a look on the tools from Gigamon as well.... they have a better price stand compared to the players you mentioned. I have attended a demo session recently, so do try a demo with them once before the final decision. Cheers!

About me

Started career as a Service Desk Analyst with a Service Desk team for a leading airline from UK. After 1.5 years, took over the Quality Assessment responsibility for the same service desk and worked on this role for 6 months. Developed an inclination towards performance and availability monitoring domain for infrastructure and applications.

Then moved to Tools Administration team and worked as a team member for another 2 years. While working with the team, administered HP toolset which included HP OMW, HP OMU, HP OVPI, HP BAC, HP NNM and MS SCOM 2007 R2.

Further moved to work for this new customer, a leading airline from Nordic. For this customer, worked as an implementer and administrator for CA Suite of Monitoring and ITSM Tool (CA UIM, CA UMP, CA SDM, CA CMDB, CA CCA, CA Service Catalog). Along with the CA Suite, worked with the vendor Compuware with whose help his team setup a Performance and Availability monitoring of Business Application, Data Centre Services, Remote Site Services via Synthetic and Real User Monitoring.
