There isn't anything specific that needs improvement in OmniPeek, as it performs better than Wireshark for our requirements. However, OmniPeek could benefit from supporting different platforms. Platform support for Linux and Unix would be particularly useful, especially when dealing with real-time testing, as most industries use Linux platforms compared to Windows. Support for platforms such as Linux, Windows, and macOS would be beneficial. Currently, I have only worked with it on Windows, as OmniPeek doesn't support macOS and Linux.

Centralized management of configurations needs improvement. Managing configurations for multiple sites individually is time-consuming; I should be able to push changes from a centralized portal. Additionally, the centralized management platform needs to optimize the performance of LiveNX by reducing the amount of data being shared.
There's likely not a future for OmniPeek in LiveAction. LiveAction acquired OmniPeek. I don't see a clear roadmap in the future for improving this software. It's a bit expensive. The product has almost too many functions. A lot of the functionality I do not use.
I am not using OmniPeek for automation, we only do manual testing. Automation testing is tedious to do. The automation should be more user-friendly. I have exposed some APIs but the usage is not user-friendly.

OmniPeek needs to improve its performance level. I would like to see the tool work in an open environment the same as how it does in a closed environment.

I would like to see the expert view better, and even more expanded than it is. Sometimes setting up the filters for the product is difficult, and I can't quickly sharpen them from the home screen. There may be a better way to do it, but if so then there should be better guidance on how to do it. This is the thing that I sometimes struggle with, and I switched to Wireshark because the filters are very easy to implement. Making it more clear on how to configure the filters, or really automating them would be an improvement. The pricing for this solution could be improved, as it is a very expensive product.

I would like to see the saving feature improved. We have had issues if you do not save your progress then you have to start from the beginning.
