I have been working with the OmniPeek product for almost two years at the start of my career, primarily using it for wireless 802.11 Wi-Fi packets, sniffer, and analysis. My experience with OmniPeek involves capturing wireless packets. As part of manual testing, we download the OmniPeek software, connect hardware that supports capturing the packets and analyzer, and then continue the testing. To capture all these packets, such as Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6, we use the OmniPeek software. The main purpose of OmniPeek is capturing the on-air packets during manual testing. If it's part of automation, we use Python modules that support that particular software.

I use OmniPeek ( /products/omnipeek-reviews ) for several use cases. Firstly, I use it for application performance, especially during acquisitions within my company, where applications are hosted across domains. This helps users access resources swiftly despite infrastructure issues that degrade performance. I integrate OmniPeek ( /products/omnipeek-reviews ) with LiveNX ( /products/liveaction-livenx-reviews ) products for this purpose. Secondly, I use it for security analytics related to the internet egress from my multiple data centers, including assessing application protocols and SSL handshakes. Thirdly, OmniPeek helps in monitoring performance across various Internet Service Providers to ensure throughput is maintained as per subscription. Lastly, it is essential for complex troubleshooting when applications are distributed across cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
Our company is an ODM manufacturer for wireless products like routers and WiFi access points. As an RD and QA department, we are sniffing the packet from the air to capture the raw WiFi traffic from the air.
We are responsible for OmniPeek for a company and it is used for WiFi packet sniffing and validation. We have a protocol to validate the 8.2.11.* IP block. When we are associating a client with the WiFi network, it is following this protocol defined by this IP block. If we have an issue with the new client not associating correctly we have to see why it is happening. For example, it could be the authentication mechanism or the AP not able to respond. There are legacy features in the solution, such as ABG, then later came ACAC. Whether the rules set out are followed or not by an access point or a client this is what we check by using OmniPeek. OmniPeek is a standalone solution that is installed on test laptops. It's a multi-license solution.

Our primary use case is for a wireless access point. We are using it to analyze the timeframes and fix issues.
