I use the workload migration feature between clouds, such as migrating from VMware to Nutanix. I use Nutanix Move to migrate workloads from Nutanix Move. However, in some cases with our failover clusters, SQL failover clusters, and Active Directory farm, Nutanix Move did not support moving or migrating these workloads. I performed some tweaks on the virtual machine level and migrated everything into Nutanix. We used an on-prem cluster and an NC2 cluster to replicate all the workloads into Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2). This hybrid solution is very good, and I believe near-sync is also available now. Replication is a fabulous feature. From a resource management perspective, we did not use it in that way because we use it as a disaster recovery solution. From a disaster recovery perspective for Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2), we run separate workloads in Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) because it is nearer to AWS and other workloads. We did not use it for resource handling instead.

It is for disaster recovery with Citrix VDI. We moved the workload from on-premises to the cloud, so all users can use VDI in Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2). It involves enterprise applications and workloads.
Our main use cases for Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) are that we're currently using it on Azure and have it deployed in a non-production environment to set up a cluster for our Oracle billing system. I have used Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) for data center extension or scaling workloads on demand. Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) has helped us stand up a few applications there; we haven't migrated our existing applications. I have not used Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) to migrate enterprise applications.
We have been using Nutanix Cloud Clusters primarily for disaster recovery. We have a pilot light in AWS and we use that to burst if we have to. We are a Citrix shop with about 250 Citrix XenApp servers on-site and if there's a disaster, we could burst up what we have in the cloud. Nutanix makes it amazingly easy to increase the number of servers we have in the cloud, but when we're not using them, we could have it down to three nodes to do our storage tasks. We have not actually used Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) for data center extension or scaling workloads on demand. However, we know it's there. I have increased the number of nodes we have and built new stuff up there and brought them up and down to see how easy it is, and it was amazingly easy. We are mostly deployed on-premise and are just using the cloud for disaster recovery. Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) could help with migrating our apps and data into the public cloud. We haven't used it for that, but I could see how easy it would be to have it up there and building it. I could definitely see how it would work, but we're not doing that. We have not yet used Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) to migrate enterprise applications. It's one of the things that I could definitely see being able to do, but we're not doing that. The reason stopping us from migrating enterprise applications is that we are iSeries, so a lot of our stuff is on-prem right now.

We are a cloud service provider, so we offer the product as a service for our customers. We use it in-house as well. We offer various services like containers as a service, storage as a service, and so on.
We use Nutanix Cloud Clusters to deploy the organization's VMs and clusters. We are running those VMs now on OpenShift. Our current deployment is on-prem, but once we finish our Kubernetes deployment, we'll take the next step toward an AWS hybrid cloud.

We have some workloads that we want to get from on-premises to the cloud, and we're doing some test cases on the migrations of our virtual machines to NC2. That's part of the plan (especially for the G4 nodes, which are out of support). We're looking into the pros and cons of replacing the actual hardware versus moving it to a Nutanix cloud.
