I would rate Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) an eight out of ten because of minor things that we ran into. I recognize that a lot of things are brand new. For it to be this good at such an early stage is amazing. It's very likely going to be smooth when the engineers have some time because I know they're crazy busy. It's already amazing. If they can smooth some of the rough edges, they are golden.

I haven't used Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) for data center extension or scaling workloads on demand yet, as it's primarily for disaster recovery, with a set amount of VMs ready for about 50 to 60 users during a DR test, and then we shut down the environment afterwards. Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) is definitely a must and useful, especially for companies with a DR specific use case. I use it primarily for virtual desktop, and it's simple to use, easy to set up, but the initial hurdle of setting it up was present, especially since we started during a pre-release phase.

We appreciate that regardless of machine or server location, they just license the compute core count and storage. Our CapEx is lower since this environment is elastic. We only turn it on or scale it during DR tests or actual disaster recovery. We are under Microsoft CSP. On a scale of one to ten, I rate this solution a nine.
I'm not so sure that Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) has helped me reduce my total cost of ownership. Overall, my experience has been excellent. On a scale of one to ten, I rate Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) an eight out of ten.
My impression of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2)'s availability in AWS and Microsoft Azure marketplaces is that so far it's been amazing. It's been really easy to do whatever we need to do, and we can scale it the way we need to scale it for us, so it's been really good for that. Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) has simplified our procurement process. That's a great thing, but we still have VMware stuff, and we have other things. I could see how it could help, but not really with us. I rate Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) an eight out of ten.
It's a good technology, better than the Chinese technology. However, Nutanix needs to improve customer experience and API functions for new opportunities with the Firecaster. I'd rate the solution six out of ten.
I advise others to consider other solutions if they need a reliable and scalable infrastructure. I rate Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) a three out of ten.

We're still in the POC stage. Our biggest hurdle is the cloud. It seems to cost more to run clusters in the AWS cloud. We do have some discounts on a corporate level; however, apples to apples, it seems to be better just to replace the actual hardware on-prem versus migrating workloads off of NC2. We're still looking at cost benefits. We want to give our clients both options and have the flexibility to run on a hybrid approach. As we are at the POC stage, so we haven't yet eliminated cloud waste just yet. That would be one of the test cases we are looking into. In terms of managing applications and data, we're still testing it. We're still looking at how it performs on-prem versus the cloud. We're looking into scalability as well as that would be a benefit of moving to the cloud. If someone is interested in migrating workloads directly onto the cloud and running them natively instead of using NC2, they really have to look into the design of the application. Some workloads need to have some services on AWS as well. When that's the case, it is best to use NC2 features. I'd rate the solution a seven out of ten. There are a few improvements to work on. For example, cluster hibernation needs work. However, the solution is very user-friendly, and it's simply to spin up clusters.

For someone who wants to migrate workloads directly to the cloud and run them natively, you want to look at what these niche markets, third parties, and vendors like Nutanix have. They're filling a niche market inside the cloud where you can get better value for your money by utilizing the best of what's in the cloud. You've got the other benefits of sustainability and management, lowered costs in terms of upskilling, and more. I'd rate the solution a nine out of ten. I'd advise others to speak to Nutanix. They were very good at giving us consultancy to help us realize all the benefits of NC2. Of course, at first, we didn't realize all the benefits. However, once we were willing to take a look and get all of the documentation in front of us that showcases all the benefits of NC2, we wanted to try it. A trial is where, at least in my case, it shows how it can outshine the full native cloud.

I'm a customer and an end-user. I use Nutanix on a daily basis. In terms of the deployment version I am on, it's generally as close to up to date as I can make it. I'd advise potential new users to do their homework and don't look back. I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten. Overall, I've had a great experience.
I'm just a customer and an end-user. Users are going to have to know the CLIs and they're going to have to learn the back doors to CLI for stuff and make sure that they really have someone who is doing the networking properly and double-check all your network configurations with Nutanix. They don't do any of that. Whereas Scale sells you the network switches already configured. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.
Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) provide essential capabilities for managing cloud migration, infrastructure, disaster recovery, and data center replacement. They enable seamless application transfer between cloud and on-premises, ensuring redundancy and handling large-scale operations across multiple locations.
With NC2, users manage server virtualization, web access, and email services while implementing robust failover solutions into public cloud environments like Microsoft Azure and...
