Our primary use case for the solution is transactional emails. We deploy it both on a public and private cloud. We are also using it for most marketing campaigns and newsletters. In terms of transaction emails, SparkPost is pretty consistent.
The option to define the kind of speed we are looking at is valuable. For example, sometimes, we need to slow down for certain customers and do specific configurations, so we don't want to rush it. Or we can email the customer requesting to send it within two hours. So, if they send 2 million or 3 million, we can do it with SparkPost, which is not possible on SendGrid.
The configuration could be more straightforward. However, implementing their services on the platform requires a lot of technical expertise.

We chose this solution because of the ease of changing configuration whenever needed. So when we have some complaints, we can change them. Whereas with the other platform, they control everything in the backend
The initial setup was a bit complex initially. However, users with limited experience may face many issues so they might need support. They might need to check some documentation to implement it. Deployment took some time for us.
I rate the solution a nine out of ten. The solution is good, but its configuration can be simplified, and add-ons could be included in one package without requiring additional purchases. I recommend this solution to users considering it, and I advise them to get a very good email deliverability specialist with hands-on experience on SparkPost to avoid facing many issues with integration.
