One challenge regarding how Palantir Foundry can be improved is the learning curve. Foundry has a very broad ecosystem with Ontology, Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, and AI integrations. For new engineers or business users onboarding, it can take time, especially if they are coming from more traditional data platforms. Better documentation, simplified onboarding paths, and more beginner-friendly examples would help accelerate adoption. Another area is debugging complexity. While lineage and monitoring are strong features, troubleshooting deeply interconnected pipelines can still become difficult in a large enterprise environment. Sometimes error logs and pipeline failure messages could be more descriptive or developer-friendly, especially for distributed PySpark jobs. Another pain point is customization limitations in certain UI-driven components. While low-code tools are great for rapid development, highly customized workflows sometimes still require engineering workarounds or deeper technical implementation. The platform is extremely capable, but improvements around usability, debugging experience, DevOps flexibility, and ecosystem openness would make it even more effective for enterprise engineering teams.

Regarding the features of Palantir Foundry, there are many areas for improvement. Even though Palantir Foundry is very convenient, there are still many things missing. The basic functionality that Palantir Foundry provides is quite simplified and should ideally not change, but some other tasks that are very cumbersome to do have many missing features. One small issue is that checks take a lot of time in the code repository when the code becomes large, so there could be a way to decrease it temporarily. I chose a rating of nine out of ten because there are some features that are missing. For example, exporting data from Palantir Foundry is very difficult and has many limitations. Additionally, while sending emails is straightforward, gathering the data and sending it to different recipients is a bit tricky and could be simplified. Basically, it is very convenient, but because there is still room for improvement, that is why I rate it at this level.

For a beginner, it will be difficult to know about the use cases. But as you get used to the platform, it becomes good. I think users get used to it over time. If we had more detailed training on the different types of platforms available, then it would be very easy to know the different use cases of Palantir Foundry so that we can provide our best use cases to our clients as well. There are still a lot of changes required in Palantir Foundry to make it more usable or easy to use. It is a bit difficult for a new user coming to Palantir. It will be difficult for them to get used to it. Once you have applied some use cases for at least three or four months, then you will get used to it. You can provide many trainings or documentation on those use cases so we can get better results.
