What is our primary use case?

Our primary use case is for application performance monitoring and log aggregation. We are customers of LocigManager and I'm a software engineer. 

What is most valuable?

LogicMonitor offers great support, they helped us a lot and responded very quickly. It's out of the box so once we deployed it was ready to go without requiring any special setup. I really appreciate that the whole solution feels like it's made by engineers, for engineers. I like that I can dive deep on my own and don't need support for that.

What needs improvement?

The solution should be less expensive.

We recently signed up for the enterprise version of LogicManager.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable. 

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I believe the solution is scalable although our use case doesn't require that. I'm the main user and we have five other users who are currently observing the trial but will become regular users. We're a small company.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is superb. It's the best support I've ever worked with.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We are still using SolarWinds but one of the main reasons we're moving to LogicManager is because SolarWinds is more of an on-prem solution and we are looking at moving to the cloud. I was looking for a solution that could cover both. 

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was pretty straightforward. Deployment time is difficult to measure because it depends on the infrastructure. We implemented in-house and made multiple changes to our infrastructure to make it work.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Licensing costs are annual and this is a drawback for us because of the high cost. I'd be happier to sign an annual contract and pay monthly. The contract included free training and initial setup support which was quite substantial.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated other solutions such as Datadog but it didn't have one of the features that really covers a lot of our use cases and they told us they were unable to meet our needs. In addition, their support wasn't as good as LogicMonitor. The other solution we looked at was Site24x7, but I found it to be inconsistent, particularly the support, and we were getting glitches every few months. 

What other advice do I have?

This is a good solution and I rate it eight out of 10.
