We performed a comparison between UiPath and WorkFusion based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Being able to understand that your path is structured as a process flow, you are still able to declare variables, and ensure the background logic is sound. You are also able to really visualize what the process needs to do and the paths that it needs to take: true, false, etc. So, it has been very useful in terms of crafting it."
"The automation of repetitive tasks that eliminate human error is a valuable feature."
"Valuable features include the OCR capabilities, to take somewhat structures data and put them into more structured data so that we can do our analysis. Another is screen scraping and, finally, the overall process of integrating it with other applications that we use in our analysis. It has also exceeded our expectations in the fact that it's a lot faster to implement than we thought it would be."
"The ability to do citizen development is the most valuable feature. That initiative has helped us to expand it because that gives folks that are closer to the business the ability to develop their own solutions that are tailored to what they need to do, as opposed to waiting for someone in IT to contact them to build it out. Or to wait for a business analyst to provide some type of value metric, but they can actually go and build it themselves."
"Their core platform of Studio is valuable. The ease of use and the ability to build these automations quickly is definitely a highlight for us. Our average process from start to finish takes three to four weeks. We can knock out automations as quickly as we can identify them. That is probably the best feature I see."
"The feature that I like the most is the Document Understanding for extracting information from PDFs."
"There is a recording feature that copies each step of a task. You can automate every process via this recording. It's a cool feature that helps you define the variables."
"I really like that I am able to tell the story, using Orchestrator, how humans work, how bots work, and how humans and bots work together."
"It really does help by either freeing up people's time to focus on more value-added tasks or reducing headcount. We generally have other things that we can get people to do, helping make the employees' work more meaningful since they are not having to do the mundane stuff."
"For automating mundane activities, I can recommend WorkFusion."
"In our opinion this group are the leaders in providing RPA solutions."
"The tool itself is easy. I started using it without really having any coding experience... After just a few clicks, it was doing reconciliations for me."
"It takes care of simple tasks so users can focus more on exceptions than on regular use cases. They only focus on orders where they need to handle an exception, some information was not given, or there is an issue that they had to focus on. The rest of it goes straight through without human touch. We want to see our employees as engineers, wherein they think and solve problems, not necessarily have to do repetitive tasks. I think WorkFusion helps with avoiding repetitive tasks."
"WorkFusion's SAP integrations are really good."
"The Robotic Desktop Automation Express component allows us to do rapid development outside the normal, time-consuming processes."
"The most valuable feature is that it is easy to use."
"Orchestrator can be improved by making the landing page dashboard customizable based on what information and stats we want to see as an organization."
"The UI and processes sometimes freeze, so it would be good to see some improvement there. The system configuration and internet speed also have some impact on this."
"An area which the UiPath team is rapidly working on is machine learning and artificial intelligence. At the moment, it is a little difficult to understand. If they could add some more training on it in their Academy, it would help customers to learn about these features."
"We need them to improve the scalability, as we are still building up. The product is not big enough yet to eliminate human errors."
"Since we've been with them, they've changed their licensing structure. It would be nice to have one set structure where they're not changing the structure on us because we were set with what we had, but now we are changing. I understand there's a lot of changes and reasons for it."
"Usually, what happens is whenever we talk to a business stakeholder, the first concern is data security. And the moment that you talk about a bot in an unattended fashion going and reading the data source, concerns arise since there's not much control at a certain point."
"Some of the transitions from the forum to submitting a ticket are a little clunky. If a ticket could be submitted on my behalf on the forum, then have me boot over to where the ticket is, that is fine. Just kicking me out of the forum, then having me submit a ticket seems counterintuitive to me."
"There are two editions of UiPath. One is the free Community version and the other is the paid Enterprise version. I have used both. The feature updates in the Enterprise version are very regular and the support is quite fast. That's not replicated in the Community version."
"There could be better version control through their web platform. That is something that could be improved on. Integration from the IDE, e.g., from WorkFusion Studio directly into Control Tower, would be nice to have too."
"I would also like for it to be NLP-based."
"The product could do more to expand its 'codeless' coding options by adding drag-and-drop assistance in building bots for non-technical users."
"We have executed our robots thousands of times in our enterprise environment. However, in an enterprise environment, WorkFusion has performance problems. It is slow in production."
"We have had some problems in the past with the Inspector tool that looks at the elements on the screen. Replacing it or improving it is needed."
"The product needs to be "simple and easy" to use. A good example of this is the use of Python code to perform automations. It is free and the skills transfer is able to happen quickly and the operation and initiation of the completed automation is easy to execute."
"It is difficult for non-technical users to use WorkFusion. If we really want to build automation, we definitely need Java developers. Their RPA is not for non-technical people. If I look at competing products, like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, or even Power Automate, a non-technical person can build basic automations and deploy them. Since non-technical people can easily build basic automations, they can be deployed in no time. With WorkFusion, there isn't a similar feature that works well. One needs to write code from scratch to build automation. That is definitely a deterrent if we really want to do quick, dirty automation. I would not rate WorkFusion very high on their no-code, low-code paradigm. In this area, I would definitely expect them to improve."
"I would like WorkFusion to improve the automation rate when evaluating unstructured text."
