Unified vulnerability data has reduced risk and currently cuts duplicate tools and license costs
Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time. I had to do some of that manually via manual reports, but Seemplicity already has a feature request for this. Seemplicity has done a pretty good job of keeping up with integrations. One gap that I identified and that Seemplicity is trying to fill now is having a complete end-to-end mapping. Seemplicity currently looks at the external attack surface using tools like Censys, and then looks at the internal side, examining what is in AWS and other clouds using CSPM. However, there is not anything that currently ties a property on the outside to a system on the inside, especially when you have additional security layers like web application firewalls that actually mitigate the risk.

Centralized insights have improved vulnerability tracking and simplified cross-tool comparisons
The best features The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform offers is the ability to compare each tool. For example, both Tenable and Cortex provide security protection. In scenarios where we did not deploy Cortex XDR to some devices, we can identify this through The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform because it compares data with the Tenable side. This allows us to perform cross-checking between Tenable and Cortex. If we miss Cortex deployment for end devices, that endpoint could be vulnerable to our cloud applications, so this capability is invaluable. The main feature is the ability to check vulnerabilities. Beyond that, we can cross-check any misconfiguration and missing configuration, such as Cortex missing or Tenable vulnerability management missing on end devices. The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform shows us a summary of vulnerabilities, which gives us an idea about the security posture of our entire environment. Based on this information, we can decide what security gaps exist on our network and provide solutions to fix these vulnerability gaps. For example, some end devices may not be updated. The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform checks all summaries and provides a list of assets that are not updated. It gives a complete list by CVE of all devices that are not updated, which we can then provide to our team for remediation. We can request that they upgrade applications such as Google Chrome across all devices.

Risk-based workflows have transformed how our teams prioritize and track critical vulnerabilities
One important area for improvement could be reporting flexibility and dashboard customization, as this would need to align with specific organizational requirements. I believe it could be better. Additionally, UI simplification and more customization around workflows and reporting would further enhance the analyst experience. Improvements in executive reporting, more customizable dashboards, and deeper workflow flexibility would enhance operational usability further. Vulcan Cyber handles scalability well in our organization. It maintains stability for visibility and remediation tracking, avoiding the need for additional storage, as it is cloud-based. It scales well in our environment, even as vulnerability data and assets grow significantly.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Before we really struggled with meeting SLAs that were in place because we did not have the information we needed and there was too much back and forth, now we nearly have a perfect SLA meeting time."
"The biggest impact Seemplicity has had on my organization is turning what used to be a fragmented, manual process into something structured and accountable."
"I was also able to pay for the tool twice over by using it for tool rationalization."
"Seemplicity has positively impacted our organization by allowing us to provide a single viewpoint into vulnerability management and pen testing for our customers."
"Seemplicity has a huge positive impact on our organization because once we have a vulnerability, it acts as a great assistant with its auto-mitigate feature, which can be used for a variety of different types of vulnerabilities, supporting our cybersecurity analysis."
"Seemplicity really shines on that remediation component and being able to automate that workflow, and that's a gap where we could not find one of our existing technology partners to be able to fill that void."
"Seemplicity has positively impacted my organization by helping reduce the overhead for our SecOps team to manually create vulnerability tickets."
"Seemplicity has helped us see a return on investment by reducing the need for an L1 analyst for AppSec findings through its categorization, deduplication, and automatic remediation assignments, which has significantly decreased the headcount required for initial analysis."
"The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform allows us to save our time and protect our system and network."
"The most notable aspects include having prioritization capabilities and custom scripts."
"Vulcan Cyber gives the remediation team the focus points."
"Vulcan Cyber has had the biggest positive impact on my organization through the improvement in prioritization and remediation efficiency."
"I find the ability to consolidate information from multiple vulnerability scanners into a single source valuable."
"The interface of Vulcan Cyber is intuitive with a lot of information about vulnerabilities, which helps in classifying and analyzing threats. We have a good view of assets and vulnerabilities. It helps to do good threat analysis because we can see exactly what the threat is and assess it accordingly."
"I was part of the initial deployment. It was pretty easy. To fully deploy, it took about three or four weeks."
"Now that the solution is onboarded, we are saving a lot of time. We're saving roughly four to ten hours a week."
"Vulcan Cyber is a very good tool."

Cons

"To improve Seemplicity, I would suggest having more knowledge base and more threat intel."
"There are some bits on the cleanliness of dashboarding and maybe a little bit on the reporting side, but not too much improvement needed as of now."
"For Seemplicity, I would say two things for improvement. First, reporting customization could go further because this industry is evolving; the CEO tries to get much information that they are looking for."
"As the account is growing, some of the dashboards are slowing down, so optimizing that could be one area for improvement."
"Seemplicity could be improved with some of the aggregation accessibility. Currently, it is a bit of a black box and can be a bit of a bottleneck."
"My advice to others looking into using Seemplicity is to be aware that you will get more information from support than from the documents themselves, and it can take a bit of time after feeding in data to show meaningful results."
"Every tool, including Seemplicity, can improve, and I think it needs to further enhance its deduplication capabilities and understand how to integrate with more security tools, especially as new AI security tools emerge."
"Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time."
"My main concern is that The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform would be better if it were more user-friendly."
"Their support is good, but there are some flaws as well. We often encounter some issues that are not applicable to Vulcan Cyber as a whole; they apply only to us because we have customized requirements. In such cases, when we reach out with specific data and issues to their support team, they sometimes come back and say that the issues have been resolved. However, when we test to see if they have been remediated, they are still there."
"We wish we had more insights into how they weigh the risks associated with the threat intel."
"We've faced situations where we required support on a Friday, and support wasn't available."
"It would be extremely helpful to have a community group around the product."
"Their support is good, but there are some flaws as well."
"It was a rough year in terms of setup. I had to set it up and onboard it. It was a significant effort from my side at least."
"There are several areas needing improvement. The product helps, but the reporting relies heavily on Power BI. It is limited to graphical views and requires additional filtering, posing operational challenges."
"An important area is performance and speed, as Vulcan Cyber often lacks speed when exporting reports."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its pricing is quite fair compared to what is out there in the market, especially compared to the tool from Microsoft. It is a SaaS platform that has an annual cost, so it is something that is already used by many companies. It is quite affordable."
"Our leadership knows better about the pricing. As per my knowledge, which might not be accurate, its price can come down."
