Unified vulnerability data has reduced risk and currently cuts duplicate tools and license costs
Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time. I had to do some of that manually via manual reports, but Seemplicity already has a feature request for this. Seemplicity has done a pretty good job of keeping up with integrations. One gap that I identified and that Seemplicity is trying to fill now is having a complete end-to-end mapping. Seemplicity currently looks at the external attack surface using tools like Censys, and then looks at the internal side, examining what is in AWS and other clouds using CSPM. However, there is not anything that currently ties a property on the outside to a system on the inside, especially when you have additional security layers like web application firewalls that actually mitigate the risk.

Centralized insights have improved vulnerability tracking and simplified cross-tool comparisons
The best features The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform offers is the ability to compare each tool. For example, both Tenable and Cortex provide security protection. In scenarios where we did not deploy Cortex XDR to some devices, we can identify this through The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform because it compares data with the Tenable side. This allows us to perform cross-checking between Tenable and Cortex. If we miss Cortex deployment for end devices, that endpoint could be vulnerable to our cloud applications, so this capability is invaluable. The main feature is the ability to check vulnerabilities. Beyond that, we can cross-check any misconfiguration and missing configuration, such as Cortex missing or Tenable vulnerability management missing on end devices. The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform shows us a summary of vulnerabilities, which gives us an idea about the security posture of our entire environment. Based on this information, we can decide what security gaps exist on our network and provide solutions to fix these vulnerability gaps. For example, some end devices may not be updated. The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform checks all summaries and provides a list of assets that are not updated. It gives a complete list by CVE of all devices that are not updated, which we can then provide to our team for remediation. We can request that they upgrade applications such as Google Chrome across all devices.

Centralized risk scoring has prioritized real-time vulnerability remediation across our assets
Since we have Trend Micro's other solution on the endpoint, we are using the same endpoint agent with Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) to discover all the vulnerabilities we have in the endpoints and the servers, and it helps discover them and also suggest the remediation action that can be performed. What stood out with Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) was the vulnerability discovery as well as prioritization that it does by suggesting the top vulnerabilities to focus on, and it also shows the accounts that have been leaked in the dark web, which provides really useful visibility. The best feature of Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) in my experience is its integrated capabilities, so if you are a Trend Micro customer for other sensors that you have already deployed, it makes a really good add-on without having to deploy much. This results in an easy onboarding experience. The integrated experience of Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) saved a lot of time because we did not have to explicitly do any sort of deployment, and it also helped us to speed up the ROI that we were looking for from the solution. Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) has helped impact our organization in a positive way by helping to detect the risk that exists within the organization and bring them out before they actually become an incident for us. Proactive risk scoring and detection is a valuable feature. We have seen with Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) that vulnerability detection has become much easier than earlier because we used to follow a three-month cycle for detecting vulnerabilities and then patching things. However, here it is more real-time, which is helping us to save a lot of time. Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) has helped us to focus on those vulnerabilities and patch them first rather than go all-in and focus on all the vulnerabilities to be patched. Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) is scalable, and I do not see that as a challenge.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best features Seemplicity offers include the aggregation logic, the way it is simplified to view and access, and the ability to have a view in a simpler way."
"Seemplicity really shines on that remediation component and being able to automate that workflow, and that's a gap where we could not find one of our existing technology partners to be able to fill that void."
"We have seen improvements in remediation rates, as initially a lot of our metrics were in the red, but now all are in the green or yellow."
"Seemplicity is helping us generate immense ROI in terms of helping secure our infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and understanding vulnerabilities that we really did not have a good process of understanding before."
"Seemplicity has a huge positive impact on our organization because once we have a vulnerability, it acts as a great assistant with its auto-mitigate feature, which can be used for a variety of different types of vulnerabilities, supporting our cybersecurity analysis."
"The biggest impact Seemplicity has had on my organization is turning what used to be a fragmented, manual process into something structured and accountable."
"Seemplicity is doing amazing work, and organizations were able to better meet their SLAs, better communicate to their leadership and executive level about the overall risk and exposure levels, and overall have a better understanding of what they are dealing with."
"Seemplicity has helped us see a return on investment by reducing the need for an L1 analyst for AppSec findings through its categorization, deduplication, and automatic remediation assignments, which has significantly decreased the headcount required for initial analysis."
"The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform allows us to save our time and protect our system and network."
"Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) is an excellent solution from Trend Micro that uses AI to predict attack paths before they become an incident in your environment."

Cons

"The capability out of the box today is decent, but over time, if we can allow users and organizations to build their own view and how they want to report on things, that would be a great value add."
"Seemplicity could be improved with some of the aggregation accessibility. Currently, it is a bit of a black box and can be a bit of a bottleneck."
"Every tool, including Seemplicity, can improve, and I think it needs to further enhance its deduplication capabilities and understand how to integrate with more security tools, especially as new AI security tools emerge."
"To improve Seemplicity, I would suggest having more knowledge base and more threat intel."
"My advice to others looking into using Seemplicity is to be aware that you will get more information from support than from the documents themselves, and it can take a bit of time after feeding in data to show meaningful results."
"Seemplicity could use more improvement around the user interface."
"For Seemplicity, I would say two things for improvement. First, reporting customization could go further because this industry is evolving; the CEO tries to get much information that they are looking for."
"Seemplicity can be improved because sometimes the rule setting can be a little complicated, and for instance, filtering out the criteria may not be useful at times, as it can be too complicated based on the business requirements."
"My main concern is that The Nagomi Proactive Defense Platform would be better if it were more user-friendly."
"Trend Vision One – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM) can improve the number of report templates that it has within the solution."
