An MDM solution for controlling and restricting data on devices
Everyone is using high-end devices, such as mobile devices. If they lose their devices, how about the data copied to other devices? Once the device is lost, you can remotely delete all of the data and block the device, preventing anyone from using or reusing it. This will keep your devices secure.

Automated enrollment streamlines device management with a helpful self-deploying mode
We use Windows Autopilot for enrolling devices into Intune I work for a Microsoft Gold Partner. We use Windows Autopilot to determine under what circumstances we recommend using Jamf and when to recommend using Intune. It is an automated way of enrolling devices, which streamlines the process.…

Pros

"Windows Autopilot automates much of the setup process when delivering computers with a specific image to multiple employees simultaneously. It streamlines the configuration loading process, making it more unattended and yielding consistent results. This eliminates the need for an engineer to input data on each machine manually."

Cons

"It could be easier to put devices on the blocklist. I would like the ability to block a device with a click of a button. Currently, we have to sift through different groups to block a device. It would be nice if Scalefusion allowed me to block without moving the device to a different profile. Another helpful feature they could add is the ability to migrate from one MDM to another. I'd also appreciate more extensive cloud storage. They give you 1 GB by default, but sometimes that's not enough."
"One area for improvement could be streamlining permissions during initial device setup, especially for corporate-owned devices, to reduce manual user interaction and expedite deployment."
"The Azure and Intune platform is not always available and quite often, there are service outages."

"If Microsoft can automatically add the license serial numbers, or have a method for us to get those serial numbers added to Windows Autopilot, apart from having to go through the device manufacturer that would greatly improve the solution."
"We encounter issues with re-registering devices in the Azure domain."
"Windows Autopilot could improve its user interface. While it is a good tool, there are other options available that are more user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are required to have a license for either EMS, E5, or E2."
"As far as I know, there isn't an additional cost specifically for Windows Autopilot itself. You'll need to consider the licensing fees for the software you install on the machines, such as Windows and Office. Overall, it is a valuable tool that simplifies the deployment process, making life easier for those involved."
