One of the challenges regarding Saviynt is the lack of material available on the web, as searching on Google or YouTube often yields little information. Advertising Saviynt is necessary because I was not aware of it a couple of months ago, and it is a very helpful product for many organizations. In India, IGA solutions are not widely recognized, and Saviynt can utilize this point by promoting itself in the cybersecurity field. A significant challenge is the lack of people discussing Saviynt in the open market, as the forums provide slower responses compared to platforms like Reddit. Advancements related to AI would be very helpful. Saviynt should provide pricing for their university certifications, which is currently not publicly available. Information about enrolling requires an ID that is not easily obtained, as it can only be acquired through an organization. Some small wishlist features are related to APIs. As I work on projects, I find certain features to be much needed, but at a glance, they may not seem necessary. As I continue working with Saviynt, these small API-related features become apparent and would greatly enhance the experience.

Centralized access visibility has improved identity governance and reduced audit effort
One significant benefit of Veza is how it helps centralize access visibility across different systems. Traditionally, access reviews require checking multiple applications, cloud platforms, and identity sources separately. With Veza, I can see permissions and relationships in a single place, which makes reviews much faster and more accurate. It is also useful for audit and compliance activities. Veza offers great access visibility, identity intelligence, and governance capabilities. One of the standout features is end-to-end access visibility. Veza provides a clear view of who has access to what across cloud platforms, applications, data systems, and infrastructure, making it much easier to understand permissions and identify risks. Another key feature is its identity graph and relationship mapping. Instead of looking at permissions, Veza allows me to directly show how users, role groups, and resources are connected. It is one of the most valuable features. Instead of simply showing that a user has access to a resource, it maps the entire relationship chain, such as the user, their group members, assigned roles, inherited permissions, and the actual resources they can access. This creates a clear picture of how and what access is granted. Veza provides access risk analysis and least privilege recommendations. Beyond simply showing who has access, it helps identify excessive permissions, unused access, and potential security risks. This allows teams to proactively reduce their attack surface rather than waiting for an audit and security incident. I also appreciate its cross-platform visibility. One of the biggest improvements since using Veza is that I have a much clearer understanding of who has access to critical systems and resources across the environment. This has significantly reduced the time spent on access reviews. I have also improved my least privilege initiatives by identifying excessive or unnecessary access and remediating it more efficiently. This has helped strengthen the overall security posture.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Considering the initial cost and the basic features, this is a good solution that provides integration with both on-premise and cloud applications."
"It is a flexible tool because it works on JSON."
"We have found the implementation process to be very easy."
"Saviynt performs well against other products in the market; it's easy to manage and easy to use, with a simple, intuitive shopping-cart-style UI for end users to request access and follow the approval process."
"Saviynt has positively impacted my organization by significantly reducing the time for a project where we previously used a spreadsheet for manual work to keep the data, reducing that time from around two weeks to two to three days or even less and decreasing the joiner-leaver lifecycle time to a couple of days, benefiting them significantly."
"The feature that we use the most is the global, third-party user management."
"Saviynt risk-based access requests and intelligent access controls have made a significant impact on our company."
"The solution handles backflow very well."
"Veza has positively impacted my organization by improving access for our users, allowing us to check the user and perform auditing for our system or organization, and we are now able to implement least privilege practices, which has made our organization and system more secure."
"I have seen measurable benefits with Veza, including a twenty-five to thirty-five percent optimization in access investigation and audit preparation, a thirty to forty percent reduction in access review efforts, and a twenty-five to thirty-five percent increase in speed for audits and investigations."
"It's the only current GRC vendor with licensing rights for HITRUST 11.3 framework, and I've avoided expensive HITRUST licensing costs through a custom control framework."

Cons

"Because the application is hosted on AWS cloud, there is some dependency and that affects our bottom line."
"It should support more customizations. In SailPoint, we can do many customizations, but we are not able to do that in Saviynt. For workflows and other things, we can only use what is already in place. Saviynt has a lot of scope for improvement on the customization part."
"The custom application integration is a little complex, and this tool doesn't provide so many plugins or additional applications."
"The scalability is a question mark because they have not been successful in the places where you have 200,000 to 300,000 identities."
"An area for improvement in Saviynt is that there's a limitation on the number of logs you can get from the past twenty-four hours. For example, if the data is huge, the tool can only give you a maximum of one hundred logs. You can't get any further than that. In the next version of Saviynt, however, you can get more logs and you'll see them inside the log rotation. For example, when you're trying to search inside the log, you can select a date range, and then you can search for a particular log. We haven't used that new log rotation feature yet, but it's included in the next release of Saviynt. Another area for improvement in the tool is that it doesn't have a server monitoring feature, so if your server has a high load, it should give you a warning. You're supposed to get an alert similar to what's being done in WebLogic. In WebLogic, we had a separate facility, but in Saviynt, that feature's missing."
"The product can improve the customer support offered to users since it is an area with shortcomings."
"Over the past year, my company faced some difficulties with Saviynt. For example, some of the onboarding projects have been blocked due to responses from Saviynt."
"The tool is difficult to migrate."
"The support experience could be better."
"Veza can be improved as it is currently not suitable for small projects due to its high cost, complex setup, and requirement for more integration with multiple systems."
"Veza is a strong platform, but there are a few areas where it could improve."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the license for this product is quite expensive."
"We are not into the licensing part. The clients take care of the licensing part."
"The solution has a pay-as-you-go licensing model, and you can subscribe monthly or yearly."
"Saviynt's pricing is reasonable."
"The pricing is comparable to Azure Entra ID. Kind of the same"
"Saviynt has a competitive price."
"If you are investing in securing your data and avoiding any non-compliance issues, then yes, it is certainly recommended. To put it plainly, if you're willing to pay fines and aren't concerned about the misuse of data, then there might not be a problem. However, if you intend to safeguard the data of your employees, vendors, and customers, it becomes crucial. In this context, managing data security requires preventive and detective measures, such as enforcing segregation of duties and regularly reviewing permissions. Throughout an individual's life cycle within an organization or customer life cycle, various access permissions are granted. Without taking action on these permissions, there is a risk of exposure later on. If individuals retain access after leaving the organization, it poses a serious security threat. Implementing solutions like Saviynt can address these challenges, ensuring continuous access review, generating reports, alerts, and identifying potential risks."
"If you need to make any changes then there are additional fees."
