We performed a comparison between Sage People and SAP SuccessFactors based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Talent Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The reporting features are also very valuable because, on top of 300+ reports available on the system, you can also customize quite a number of reports."
"The most valuable feature of Sage People is the integration with our payroll system."
"The solution's initial setup was straightforward."
"The solution provides the ability to trace back records, is reliable, makes life easy, and is secure."
"Compared to the other system that we were using, I think Sage is more friendly. As an administrator, Sage's dashboard is visually friendly and many tasks are easier to accomplish. Another feature that we've liked since we started using Sage is the reporting. With the other system, we needed to configure a lot of things manually when it came to reporting, but with Sage the reporting tasks are much simpler."
"I guess I would say maybe that it is a more robust system."
"Sage makes all the information accessible, like pulling a file because an employee needs something ASAP. It's all in the system. It's easy to find old reports if I need them for payroll purposes. It might take days to do some of this work by hand."
"The solution is beneficial overall."
"The tool's most valuable feature is its integration capabilities with on-premise ERPs and other systems."
"This solution offers good flexibility and configurability. It can handle different types of performance management."
"There are a lot of features in SuccessFactors that HR can actually explore. We recently implemented a learning platform that employs the individual staff to actually manage their own learning."
"SAP SuccessFactors is a very reliable and stable solution."
"The most valuable features of the solution are GUI and OData API."
"SAP SuccessFactors is one of the most robust platforms in the world today. For a unique global company, they need a platform that is compliant, such as GDP compliant in Europe. The solution delivers high quality in their core HR IS system which is called Employee Central. The system is one of the strongest and sturdiest modules that are in existence in the world."
"What I like the most is the KPI management formula."
"The main advantage of SuccessFactors is its ability to add many types of integrations within the SAP Cloud platform. Many useful modules can be implemented alongside SuccessFactors as third-party integrations, and this capability to extend the system is a big plus."
"There were a couple of things that we wanted to customize, but we couldn’t do it ourselves."
"The budget module does not work. Sage People need to maybe make it more user-friendly."
"The integration with our payroll system could improve. However, it is managed by another company."
"Right now, Sage doesn't seem to have what we are looking for when it comes to managing HR tickets. In my previous experiences with other HR software, we had to buy another solution to obtain this functionality, and it would be a great feature for Sage to consider adding. For an HR system, Sage would do very well to include it."
"The user interface is not great."
"The automation in Sage People could improve. The solution is the best used for data storage but the automation could be better to have more functionality."
"If Sage People were to become a fully cloud-based solution, it could lead to significant improvements. With the COVID pandemic highlighting the benefits of remote work, a complete shift to cloud-based functionality would be a welcome development for users."
"In my opinion, the performance management module of this system could use improvement as it falls behind compared to other specialized performance management platforms."
"SuccessFactors feels rigid. It should be more streamlined. Also, the interface design is outdated and needs an upgrade."
"The price of the solution could improve, it is too high."
"User experience for this solution needs to be improved."
"SAP SuccessFactors needs to improve the LMS and performance management."
"The data management part can be improved in terms of how you can manage data from the HR admin's or HR team's perspective. It has some limitations in the reporting part in terms of how you can update the data and fetch the data. SAP HCM comparatively has a lot of capabilities in terms of backup loads, data management, data changes, etc. You can do these things easily, which is not the case with SAP SuccessFactors. Data management should be simplified in SAP SuccessFactors in terms of accessing the data, reporting, and then manipulating the data."
"There is not much scope for enhancements, personalization, or customization with the cloud-based variant of this solution, which could be improved."
"The process for long modules needs to be improved, because compared to how it's done with a competitor (Meta4), the competitor's process was simpler."
"SAP SuccessFactors is working on making beneficial changes but they are not fast enough. They can improve by making the improvements or updates quicker. Additionally, the user interface could improve, it is not something you want to return to when compared to a solution similar to Instagram."
