Good data security, allowing local installations to prevent data from going to the internet
There were a lot of issues we faced. One notable improvement would be better API integration within the tool itself, as we still rely on external tools like Postman. Additionally, expanding language support beyond C#, Java, and JavaScript to include Python would be beneficial. An AI feature that automatically detects automation object properties and suggests actions would be a great addition. So, in future releases, AI solutions for automated property identification would be helpful.

Technical support is equally very important. If you talk about anything deployed to production, and the project is live, customers are using that, and they might face some issues, some functional issues. That's when support people play a role in identifying the fix or the incident. Based on that, we create an incident based on the customer defect or whatever. Once the incident gets raised, the support will play a role in working on that particular incident. If it's a code-based incident, administration, or integration issue, support people play a big role in resolving those issues before reaching the exact developers.

Pros

"Customer Service: Excellent – very quick and detailed responses. Technical Support: Excellent – very quick and detailed responses."
"Ranorex support is speedy, reliable and very friendly."
"I tried to use different products Selenium, TestComplete, amongst others, but this was very familiar, fast, adaptable and flexible."
"Object identification is good, it is easy to identify and convenient for scripting as well, which is a good thing for us."
"The solution is intuitive and pretty self-sustaining, and you don't need a lot of help with it in terms of setup or assistance."
"Ranorex improved our ui automation by providing handy features such as WaitForExists, Exists, Enabled, Visible"
"In this particular area Ranorex proved to be a perfect choice."
"The most valuable feature of Ranorex Studio is its user-friendly interface."
"It helped to integrate our performance testing and UAT, which helped to deliver a bug free software for our customers."
"It has significantly enhanced our testing accuracy by approximately 50%."
"Maintaining many environments for test is a bear. These guys make it so easy with their CI integration that you can have tests going in after a few hours."
"No need to purchase more real devices."
"Customer Service: Very positive. From the sales reps to the customer success reps, Sauce Labs is truly dedicated to ensuring an outstanding experience."
"Testing is very fast with this tool."
"Overall, Sauce Labs has provided us with a VM farm that is virtually always up and running and has taken the burden off of us/myself of maintaining the VM farm."
"Before implementing Sauce Labs, we tested physical devices that team members had to share. It was more feasible when we were all located in one office, but we couldn't leverage our offshore capacity. With this solution, we can do everything remotely, which is essential now that most of us work from home."

Cons

"More possibilities on mobile devices, as we have already encountered some problems with iFrames integrated in a web page."
"Stability was an issue."
"The solution has good quality and functionality but I would not recommend it because of its unfamiliarity in the market."
"One of the areas the service could be improved would be to have the training in Italian."
"Part of the challenge is that Ranorex's support is over in Europe, so we can't get responses on the same day. If we had support in the United States that was a bit more timely, that would be helpful."
"I would like to be able to customize the data grids. They are currently written in Visual Basic and we are unable to get down to the cell level without hard-code."
"I have proposed few suggestions to them in the product improvement area."
"While the product does well with its primary job of testing, when we are using Ranorex it would be nice if it would report directly in HTML."
"Sometimes, it is not stable."
"The testing process is difficult. I need to prove the complete competency of the tool, and I am finding that challenging."
"Speed."
"When we were in development, it was a bit of a pain because we have onshore and offshore development. One of our development shops is in India, and we were running tests over there. When some of the users tried to log in, it was slow for them or we didn't have enough licenses. That was during the core development before we even launched."
"One of the challenging areas for us is the reporting and the matrix. It should be based on roles, but right now it is only available for the admin role. The admin role can really do a lot of stuff, but our infrastructure team, which holds the admin role, is not ready to hand it over to us on the testing team. If Sauce Labs had permissions associated with roles, where this role could do this activity and that role could do that activity, it would be easier for us."
"At various times, there are high-latency launches, or outright timeouts, but the Sauce Ops team has been pretty good about both 1) acknowledging the issue/investigation 2) working steadily to resolve it."
"The session duration is too short; it's only about 3 hours long."
"Better and programmatic controls on request/response recordings and sharing with developers."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing fees depend on the number of users."
"We paid €3,000 (approximately $3,300 USD) for this solution. When you add the runtime licenses it will be €3,500 (approximately $3,900 USD)."
"Our company has one license per user with each costing two lakh rupees."
"There are several types of licenses and you need to choose depending on your needs and level of usage."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
"This solution is a more expensive solution compared to some of the other competitors."
"It could be less like pay-per-use with a lower rate."
"Compared with other services, Sauce Labs is a bit expensive."
"Now that we have an enterprise license, we no longer have to worry about minutes each month!"
"The number of concurrent VMs that Sauce Labs provides depends on your purchase license level."
"We have an enterprise account; it has worked great for our needs."
"The pricing is definitely on the higher end, and there are other options that are more cost-effective."
"Cost-wise, it's decent. If you have to get the base version out of it, it's the best solution to go with. As compared to other cloud service providers, the pricing of Sauce Labs is decent."
"We did initially go with Sauce Labs because of the pricing and integration."
