Testing solution supports Java testing with good reliability
There is nothing you can do for almost every application. If you do it for a single version, it is rather easy. However, if you want to run it for different versions of the software, then you need the Qt version of Java. You need to set up some special environment variables to be able to do that.

Cloud-based testing has simplified remote mobile validation and provides flexible device coverage
I was not impressed with how detailed their analytics and logs are from LambdaTest. The solution we were testing is being used because many of us are working from home. It was easy to implement because with a real phone, we have to bring a real phone to each person. Since three years ago, many employees have been working from home, so we were trying to find a solution for this challenge. We had no need to exploit the information for the analytics generated in the background. The purpose was simply to make it easy for our employees to access a phone. The downsides I noticed include that the pricing was very good, but the visual quality of the image sometimes suffers. The contrast on a real iPhone provides better contrast than with the cloud solution. The only aspect that was less favorable than on a real phone was the contrast of the color.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most important part is that it allows me to create black box tests faster and easier."
"Stable automation framework with its own object library enabled us to move all of the tests to a Continuous Integration farm."
"Squish is integrated with Qt, which enables us to test the user interface effectively."
"Squish's data-driven testing is very powerful, so it will never be stuck if the size of data is too heavy."
"Now we have completely automated the Squish runs using CI tools and Squish is not at all getting stuck or creating any problem."
"Powerful and intuitive Integrated Development Environment (IDE) - I use this IDE daily for creating new tests, debugging tests and running tests."
"I find it very user-friendly and easy to start working with. The main benefit for me is that it allows testing applications developed in the Qt language. This capability makes Squish a game-changer, as it's the only tool I've found that enables automation for applications written in Qt. I appreciate three main aspects. Firstly, the documentation is excellent. Secondly, I value the way the tool efficiently locates elements during testing. These are the two aspects I particularly like."
"Customer support was good; they work out of the box and are willing to add a new feature if we say and if it is feasible."
"Automation and mobile testing have improved our efficiency."
"In case something goes wrong at LambdaTest end, the Support team is extremely responsive to analyze any platform-related issues."
"LambdaTest is brilliant."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The solution is very easy to understand and has a user-friendly UI."
"LambdaTest easily integrates with leading project management, bug tracking, and CI-CD tools like Jira, Asana, Jenkins, Circle CI, and more."
"LambdaTest offers geolocation testing in automation, which is amazing!"
"Without a doubt, LambdaTest is one of the big reasons behind our faster deployment and better team collaboration."

Cons

"The only criticism I have is the IDE needed a bit of polish in version 5.2 (this may have been fixed in the latest versions)."
"The most complete way of testing is on several OS's, even platforms. Here, the solution provided by Squish, through several Python script files, could be simplified in such a way, so that even black box testers could manage it easily."
"Features like recovery scenarios can be added as an improvement Reporting can be improved."
"You need to set up some special environment variables."
"ID could be improved with suggestions of names, variables or class."
"Squish is lagging in handling swing objects, but I believe Squish will overcome this shortly."
"We have faced some difficulties in identifying canvas objects initially."
"Sometimes, I had problems, but their support team resolved almost of them in short time."
"Improvements on a platform need to happen on a timely basis...There should be some new features coming up or some performance improvisation over a period of time."
"LambdaTest's technical support comes in different tiers - most issues get resolved, but there's room for improvement with critical issues."
"Responsive testing UI is a bit cluttered, whereas the LT browser is much better to use."
"If possible to simulate the finger pinch, it would make it more realistic."
"LambdaTest needs to improve its speed and memory because it takes a long time to load."
"I didn't like the solution's technical support and how they communicated and tried to fix the issues of customers like me."
"It would be much easier for us to read the test if they provided dashboard analytics."
"Performing automation testing from UI is a little slow and could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price could be better. I believe each developer license costs about 6000 or 7000 Euros per year."
"It is expensive."

"The pricing could be made cheaper."
"It is free to start, which means you can actually see how it works and then take the decision to buy."
"The product can be described as an averagely-priced solution."
"From the customer side, LambdaTest is cheaper for big company usage and works fine as other similar applications."
