Rapid application development empowers big projects in months
The ability to quickly develop applications without needing to code a lot is very valuable. It is very quick to create a page, and one can use AI to speed up software development. It is easy to learn. In my company, we could develop a very big application in a couple of months.

Great UI and out-of-the-box integrations, but needs expanded cloud platform support
Given the rapid pace of innovation we’ve already seen from Unqork, there are a few major capability gaps we face currently. However, some areas of improvement and features we would benefit from in upcoming releases include: 1. Enhanced accessibility compliance - While meeting baseline standards, further WCAG conformance and widgets optimized for screen readers could expand access for disabled users of Unqork solutions. Added compliance certifications would also be welcomed. 2. Expanded cloud platform support - The addition of Azure and Google Cloud alongside AWS would allow our deployment options to better align with enterprise strategic cloud choices outside just Amazon. 3. More analytics and observability - Increased telemetry on app performance, component reuse rates, load testing etc. would help fine-tune Unqork solutions. More data and dashboard visibility into adoption would optimize our ROI. 4. Managing technical debt - As portfolios of Unqork apps grow over time, best practices and features to facilitate updating legacy components, refactoring old solutions, and preventing erosion will be helpful. Added controls to manage technical debt long-term. 5. Evolution of existing components - Existing rich widgets and connectors rounding out maturity with incremental capabilities would expand Unqork's versatility. Expanding the range of use cases served by current components. 6. Offline functionality - For mobile solutions, some limited persistent caching and offline usability during intermittent connectivity would better support field agents/inspectors. Tolerating offline states is key. 7. Design version control - Advancing visual version control capabilities for better design history, branching, merging, and reverting changes to Unqork sites would improve collaboration and prevent overwrite errors by nontechnical users.

Pros

"This product will speed up development time with helpful production aids."
"The most valuable features are security, stability, and ease of implementation."
"I like that Oracle Application Express (APEX) is powerful and attractive, allowing my organization to modernize forms within two months. I also found its PWA feature very powerful because you can produce substantial mobile applications."
"The ability to quickly develop applications without needing to code a lot is very valuable."
"I like the fact that it is natively integrated into the Oracle database."
"Oracle Application Express is easy to use, people don't have to be developers to use it."
"The solution is easy to handle. The tool has helped us develop many applications since it supports SQL and NoSQL languages. We are familiar with this language. Also, the solution’s interface design and database design are very easy. It is not so much complex. I have no experience working with other solutions."
"The valuable features are charts, reports, and search engines."
"Unqork is a low-code, no-code platform that is easy to use compared to traditional development."
"Unqork UI behaves consistently across devices and seamlessly adapts to various form factors."
"I recommend Unqork for those wanting to start their careers, particularly in sectors like insurance and banking."
"Unqork is a great choice over other BPMS tools like Pega."
"Unqork is user-friendly and allows easy navigation for users without technical knowledge."
"The feature of being able to stand a UI with minimal effort and a very quick turnaround is valuable."
"I rate Unqork's technical support as nine."

Cons

"Another issue I used to encounter was with the debugging functions. I believe this is an area where Oracle APEX could improve significantly in terms of displaying error messages or error pages. It is very difficult to detect bugs or which bugs you are having when it comes to errors or which errors you have."
"The product's stability has certain shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required."
"Oracle is more of a database-oriented solution and is not very flexible in app development."
"The user interface needs to be improved. It should be more user-friendly."
"Connections to the application pages are not handled well and at times more than one user can be accessing an application with the same ID."
"Some of the application interfaces of Oracle Application Express are not very attractive and could be improved."
"Apex has effectively incorporated new market trends into its features. The platform's user-friendly nature is notable, guiding developers through the development process. While advanced customization of the user interface with HTML and CSS is possible, the out-of-the-box options often suffice, providing 80-90% of the required functionality. The IDE is commendable, yet an enhancement in the Page Designer to allow a real-time preview of layout changes would be beneficial. Currently, running the page is necessary to visualize layout adjustments, but an immediate preview during the design phase would be a valuable improvement."
"The problem of sending emails arises when Oracle Application Express (APEX) is inside Oracle Cloud Infrastructure since it is a bit complicated or difficult to understand where to take care of the setup part to be able to just send out emails properly."
"The addition of Azure and Google Cloud alongside AWS would allow our deployment options to better align with enterprise strategic cloud choices outside just Amazon."
"Unqork needs improvements, especially as operations may halt unexpectedly during testing. Its speed may not match that of traditional programming activities, especially when dealing with front-end designs."
"When developing large platforms with significant traffic, there are scalability challenges, which might affect performance."
"Unqork is not an extremely mature solution. Many things that I worked with them on were functionally basic but missing from the platform."
"Unqork needs improvement in mobile application support, as competitors offer this feature."
"The area that needs improvement in Unqork is its performance."
"There are areas in Unqork that need improvement. The ongoing development of the Vega feature, which is built on React compared to the older Century built on AngularJS, should be optimized."
"Occasionally, during server-side execution with multiple loops, we encounter timeout issues, which is something we've had to address with technical support."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have an Oracle basic product license, and then we can use Oracle APEX for free. We have many licenses for Oracle for approximately 20 processors."
"We have a full Oracle E-Business Suite license, and we use that license to develop applications. There's no license required for developing Oracle applications."
"There is a trial version available that can be used free of charge."
"Apex is not priced separately; instead, it is associated with the Oracle database. A free option for Oracle database and Apex can be downloaded and installed on this complimentary database version. This aligns with our current approach."
"The solution is moderately priced, where it is neither cheap nor expensive."
"It's a free solution with no additional costs."
"I believe APEX comes bundled with the database, including autonomous database and other related database products, so the pricing is quite reasonable."
"Oracle Application Express (APEX) comes with Oracle. The Oracle price itself. I do not know the exact cost. Oracle is flexible on its price. If you overspend on your hardware, then I don't think you will overpay. I heard that Oracle is more expensive than other databases, but when you consider Oracle is the best traditional relational database out there. You get what you pay for."
