The feature is called relay server, and some people refer to it as a cache server. The Sophos EPP Suite is scalable. Some customers in banks typically have 5,000 to 7,000 users. One customer started with 1,000 users and has now extended to 4,000 users. Some customers are using up to 8,000 users without any issues. Regarding AI elements in the Sophos EPP Suite, firewalls have already introduced AI features. They have integrated AI models similar to ChatGPT in firewalls. These AI features should be introduced in endpoint XDR as well. Key features for comprehensive detection and prevention include advanced threat prevention, ransomware protections, exploit prevention, and AI-powered detections. Extended visibility and data analysis include cross-product data correlations. They have a data lake, live discover, and threat graphs. They also offer AI case summary and AI common analysis, accessible from Sophos Central, which is the management portal for Sophos XDR. Sophos Central serves as one central management portal for managing firewalls, endpoint, Sophos encryption, and mobile device management solutions. This centralized management is particularly appealing to customers.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is an easy-to-use and easy-to-configure product."
"It is very light. It is the only solution that can be installed on a machine that already has an antivirus. It is a pretty complete solution."
"The main reason we had Webroot is that it was cost-effective for our clients."
"Their policy management, their cloud-based dashboard and user interface are very easy to navigate."
"The most valuable features of the solution include the endpoint navigation protection, the protection related to the EMS service, as well as the control and the cloud integration capabilities."
"The Webroot cloud console is very powerful."
"Webroot Business Endpoint Protection is very scalable."
"Valuable features include good scanning, very light footprint and management console that the client can access and (just as important) in which I can see status of groups of computers (I am a consultant, IT role)."
"The most valuable features of Sophos EPP Suite are the synchronized threat and ransomware protection."
"The performance and scalability are impressive. We can install it on various computers."
"The solution is easy to set up."
"We bought it because it was cost-effective."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to centrally manage the total security environment, including the firewall."
"The central management of the anti-virus features for our end user is a very valuable aspect of the solutions."
"It's easy to deploy."
"The anti-malware and web filtering are the solutions most valuable aspects."

Cons

"Webroot Business Endpoint Protection needs to improve its ability to detect threats."
"I believe that Webroot Business Endpoint Protection should offer a more modern UI."
"We need more control over when upgrades to the app are rolled out."
"There needs to be more advanced analytics. It would make it a more powerful antivirus solution within the marketplace."
"Webroot Business Endpoint Protection needs to focus on how they can widen their area of scope by not just being an antivirus tool anymore. The shortcoming in the customization area of the tool needs improvement."
"I'm not happy with Webroot Business Endpoint Protection, for only one reason. It seems that it slows down my interface when I'm doing programming in Microsoft Access, tremendously."
"There should be a Webroot Business Endpoint Protection mobile app."
"Since they're dealing with multi-core environments now, the best option would be for them to enhance the product so that the product can automatically do an assessment on the machine."
"The only drawback is that it requires a little more system configuration."
"The logging issues must be fixed."
"From our enrollment perspective, I would say maybe it could be a little lighter in terms of agent usage so that there is less computer utilization."
"Sophos EPP Suite demands significant resources just to operate. For example, it takes up more than 50% of the resources on our laptop to run it. So, even if we buy a laptop i7 and use 50% resources for Sophos, it will cost us more because every computer needs energy. I don't know why or what the exact problem is."
"The solution isn't quite accurate enough. It provides a lot of false positives."
"The product's resource utilization is a concern, especially regarding memory usage on systems with older specifications such as lower memory and less powerful processors."
"The solution could be improved in terms of the performance of the appliances. Sometimes the appliances in the market can be quite large. Additionally, in comparison to other appliances, such as FortiGate, Cisco Firepower, or ASA, it could be improved in terms of package processing or traffic handling."
"The product should improve support and provide more scalable clustering."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the product's pricing a three on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. There are no costs in addition to the product's standard licensing fees."
"Work on a price tier plan."
"It is relatively cheap."
"The pricing is high."
"Our strategy was to overestimate the complexity and cost. It turned out that Webroot's assurance was justified."
"If you purchase for clients, then you are the managing billing entity. It's better to either get a monthly subscription check from your clients, or to prepay for the year (so as to not keep cash in reserve to pay the bill each month) IMHO."
"We are on an annual subscription for the use of Webroot Business Endpoint Protection."
"Webroot Business Endpoint Protection is not too expensive. My licenses cost me between $300 and $400. It is really good price wise."
"A yearly subscription has to be purchased or made towards the licensing cost of the solution. The solution is an affordable or an economical one for corporate houses."
"The solution is expensive."
"The pricing for this solution is ok."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten."
"The platform is expensive but worth it."
"When compared to Fortinet, the renewal and subscription is quite expensive."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"Pricing could always be lower. It costs around $120 per seat per year."
