Identity governance has automated lifecycle workflows and strengthens access risk control
Omada Identity has a very good and easy automated onboarding and offboarding process which provisions correct system access from day one when employees or contractors join, and it automatically revokes their access and prevents orphan accounts when they leave. It provides role-based transfers which seamlessly upgrade user permissions when individuals change departments or roles, ensuring they only have the privileges necessary for their new positions. For risk mitigation and intelligent analytics, it leverages machine learning to uncover vulnerabilities, recommends appropriate access roles, and flags anomalous user behavior before it becomes a security threat. Omada Identity also extends strict governance controls and life cycle tracking to AI agents, service accounts, and API keys, securing the expanding IT infrastructure. It allows businesses to map their paper-based approval process into automated drag-and-drop digital workflows without relying on complex custom coding and provides a centralized self-service portal for employees to request temporary or permanent access to specific applications with proper approval from one or two level approvers, which includes built-in routing to the correct approvers. The value received from Omada Identity at the start was significant, particularly due to its codeless configuration, allowing us to map our approval process into automated drag-and-drop digital workflows without excessive complexity. For access requests, we established a centralized self-service portal to manage temporary or permanent access requests with appropriate approvals. Omada Identity uses machine learning to uncover vulnerabilities, recommending access roles and flagging anomalous behavior before it becomes a threat, providing confidence through initial POCs leading to a complete deployment.

Reduced calls to the Service Desk for password resets but it does need a deployment mechanism
The availability to use a web portal Reduced calls to the Service Desk for password resets. They could include a deployment mechanism. I've used it for four years. No issues with deployment. No issues with stability. No issues with scalability. Customer Service: Very good. Technical…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Omada's onboarding features reflect our processes for onboarding new employees well. That is the primary reason we use this solution. We use role-based access control. I'm not sure how much it has improved our security posture, but it's made managing identities more convenient."
"The customer success and support teams have been crucial."
"I'm not using Omada, but the interface is easy to use and gives you a solid overview of your identities."
"Our internal customers are quite happy with the product, and we receive a lot of positive feedback."
"We used to have a problem where an employee's access wasn't terminated when they left the company. Now, we have much better visibility into and control over who has access."
"The best features of Omada Identity include its cloud version, which is really fast, and I appreciate the main menu and overall look of the features; it is really user-friendly and easy for the users to understand what they want."
"It has a lot of out-of-the-box features. It is flexible, and there are a lot of possibilities to configure and extend it. It is user-friendly. It has an interface that is end-user or business-user friendly."
"It scales in terms of numbers and types of identities. It can govern the on-premise applications as well as the cloud applications. So, it can manage hybrid environments with all types of identities and various load amounts."
"It’s an excellent solution, with great security."
"Easy to enter and track licensing, a history of successful and failed attempts, easy for the users, and low cost."
"Customer Service: Very good. Technical Support: Excellent."

Cons

"What I would most like to see added to the product is role management, especially enterprise or business role management, and the processes around that."
"The UI design needs improvement. One or two years ago, Omada changed its user interface to simplify, but the simplification has not really kicked in."
"Omada's performance could be better because we had some latency issues. Still, it's difficult to say how much of that is due to Omada versus the resources used by our other vendors in our on-prem environment. Considering the resources we have invested into making it run well, it's slightly slower than we would expect."
"The user interface should have a more flexible design, where you can change it to your requirement."
"Omada could communicate better with us about the product roadmap. We haven't gotten any updates about it. The user interface is often a bit difficult to understand. It isn't optimized for small screens, so it doesn't display all of the information clearly, so users need to scroll a lot."
"When the re-certification process is launched that makes Omada very slow. There are performance issues in the current version."
"Sometimes, the time it takes to respond to a ticket is too long."
"The architecture of the entire system should also be less complex. The way they process the data is complex."
"They could include a deployment mechanism."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
"They are positioned at a good price point. They are lower than some of their competitors."
"There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
"It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
"Omada isn't cheap or expensive. The licensing model is flexible. I've only had limited interactions with the Omada sales team, but they were positive. They don't sell the customers more licenses than they need. It's important to accurately forecast future usage. For example, we have many licenses that we don't use because we don't have the identities yet. We pay extra, which isn't good."
"While Omada Identity carries a premium price tag, it proves to be cost-effective."
"The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
"Omada Identity offers a reasonable price point, but it will increase as we transition to the cloud."
