A network monitoring platform with a useful reporting feature, but permission-based options could be better
The initial setup is fairly easy. Most of it's wizard-based. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to set it up. But if you don't know certain things related to protocols and everything else, it might be difficult. If you know how SNMP works, it'll be fairly simple to set up.

Evaluating robust file monitoring with insights for community support improvements
Wazuh's most valuable features include file monitoring and compliance reporting, which do not require excessive costs. These aspects are vital as they provide alerts for changes and facilitate the monitoring of compliance. The platform is also relatively easy to set up and operate. Reports are straightforward to extract and prove useful for compliance requirements.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Reporting on NetCrunch is pretty good. It's very similar to SolarWinds. It's just a different interface. The majority of everything there was beneficial."
"The most valuable feature of Wazuh is the ELK for doing an investigation."
"It's stable."
"I would recommend Wazuh to others."
"I like that the solution is on top of the Kubernetes stack."
"I like the cloud-native infrastructure and that it's free. We didn't have to pay anything, and it has the capabilities of many premium solutions in the market. We could integrate all of our services and infrastructure in the cloud with Wazuh. From an integration point of view, Wazuh is pretty good. I had a good experience with this platform."
"I like Wazuh because it is a lot like ELK, which I was already comfortable with, so I didn't have to learn from scratch."
"The most valuable features are the modules and metrics."
"Wazuh's logging features integrate seamlessly with AWS cloud-native services. There are also Wazuh agent configurations for different use cases, like vulnerability scanning, host-based intrusion detection, and file integrity monitoring."

Cons

"I didn't care for the role-based, permission-based options, which were not the best."
"It would be great if there could be customization for the decoder portion."
"I want more support for regional compliance standards to serve my ANZ region customers better."
"The biggest part that's missing is threat intelligence. It isn't inbuilt, and if a sudden incident occurs, we don't get that feedback inside the SIEM tool. That's a big gap, I see. It would be better if we could get the threat intelligence feeds integrated with the SIEM tools. That would help us push value solutions to the clients in a big way."
"A more structured approach, perhaps with modular UI components, to facilitate easier integration and navigation within the Wazuh platform for custom integrations would be beneficial."
"I think that the next release should be more suitable for large enterprises, because currently they are not because large companies do not rely on open source solutions."
"The deployment is a bit complex."
"I have yet to find the same capability in Wazuh to get logs from different sources into the system"
"Integration with Vyara could be better."

"Wazuh is an open-source tool, which means it is freely available for use."
"The solution's pricing is very competitive."
