Facilitates compliance and records management but needs user-friendly enhancements
The features I appreciate the most in Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance include the ability to build cases, give them dates, and find them based on the notes that I left behind. The importance of Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance building taking into account critical regulations from around the world is very significant. It helps us stay up to date. While I don't need the functionality, Purview delivers data protection across multi-cloud and security platform environments, including AWS and GCP. It takes into account critical regulations from around the world. It helps us stay up to date with what's going on. We can show compliance in real-time. It's very easy to pull records. The time it saves is very useful.
Great risk management with good automation and interface updates
Risk management is one of the most impressive features of Archer, especially with the recent restructuring of the user interface. Previously, the user interface was a major concern for us and our admins. Archer recognized this and reinvented it. The interface is improving with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). I can write policies and receive expert opinions directly from RSA Archer using AI techniques. Additionally, in the banking sector, Archer has been used to automate processes such as business continuity management, transitioning from manual processes to automated systems. This includes storing risks, managing risk repositories, applying controls to mitigate risks, and calculating inherited and residual risks.

Pros

"Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance helps with extra collaboration and ensures communication is within the framework."
"Customer support is excellent."
"The features I appreciate the most in Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance include the ability to build cases, give them dates, and find them based on the notes that I left behind."
"The time it saves is very useful."
"First of all, its access control feature where it provides application level access, solution level access, and even recall access, as well."
"RSA is a very rich application. I like its adaptive suggestion, where based on your users and the class of data, it can actually recommend you the proper control to choose. For example, we have been using PCI DSS as an NIST. So based on application feedback, it will provide you with a suggestion on which control objective needs to be set. Based on that, you can make a decision—you don't need to take the suggestion, but you can customize that particular provided suggestion. RSA Archer's workflow is also good, in terms of process automation."
"The helpful features of RSA Archer include providing an integrated overview of the landscape in the company, which leads the user to use the same inventory and other components, sharing the same set of references and objects we are working on."
"Solution is scalable."
"The most valuable part of the product is the ease-of-use and the opportunity to create custom security applications easily."
"The tool has stability, and it allows me to automate whatever process I have."
"It is enterprise-wide accessible. So, it is very helpful for all the employees in our bank. They can log in and do their risk management activities. It has a few inbuilt modules that are helpful for doing risk management activities, such as issue management, risk identification, risk assessment, and policy exception management. It also has some inbuilt workflows inside these modules. They are also helpful."
"Archer has simplified our security audits. It's made it easier to raise and trigger questionnaires to customers."

Cons

"The product should incorporate more automation with the help of AI."
"Monitoring and compliance for web applications could be improved."
"Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance can be improved by having more tutorials available for those who aren't used to using this platform."
"Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance can be improved by having more tutorials available for those who aren't used to using this platform."
"GUI could be improved."
"The management agrees that Archer lacks in terms of presentation and dashboarding. It is complex, not user-friendly, and bulky."
"Archer could be improved by having more customization. I'm not sure if the backend processes have API calls and those kinds of seamless integrations, but from the front, some of the solutions are very out-of-the-box. It's not customizable, so that could be a little problematic since you have to use their features. In terms of the backend structure, I'm not too sure because I'm not a developer—I was an end user and product owner of Archer—and I don't quite know the backend and developmental features. But since it's an out-of-the-box solution, sometimes customization was challenging and support was a little problematic because we had to reach out to them all the time."
"RSA Archer might be a bit expensive for small companies because it's a vast tool."
"It would be nice if RSA Archer featured more customization. When customers are updating, they should be notified whether certain updates are optional. The install screen should not proceed to the next page unless we make some selections about which updates we want to install."
"A remaining area for improvement is integration. There should be built-in integration mechanisms, for example, for organizations switching from platforms like ServiceNow to Archer, instead of custom integrations for each client."
"The financial area of RSA Archer has room for improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It is not expensive. It is reasonable. We only pay for the licensing."
"Fairly highly-priced, especially for smaller companies."
"I am not sure about other companies, but it's quite expensive."
"The solution's price should be reduced. You only have to pay the license and there are no additional fees."
"As I am a developer and responsible for providing production support, I do not have personal knowledge of the pricing. However, my colleagues claim that it is very expensive in comparison with other tools."
"The license is costly for the solution, but the remaining set up and maintenance is quite cheaper."
"RSA Archer's price is justifiable and not as expensive, compared to ServiceNow. I have heard that the licensing for ServiceNow is much more expensive. I'm unaware whether there are any additional costs after licensing fees."
"The pricing is okay. The licensing costs are very reasonable; it is very affordable to us."
