Efficiently keeps track of how many mailboxes are created, how many are deleted, and things like that
We can keep track of how many mailboxes are created, how many are deleted, and things like that. It's a necessity for auditing to use a tool to monitor email tracking. So, it helps a lot with compliance. We can use the dashboard to see which Exchange servers are currently having issues, their health, and other details. The GUI is very good.

Daily invoice analytics has become streamlined and complex data modeling is now simplified
We are not using analytics features and possibly predictive analytics and forecasting features in QlikView, although they are available. QlikView is very flexible, but we are currently using only tabular presentation of data because that is what we need. Presenting a large volume of data in QlikView with graphics can be overwhelming for the majority of people who want to see a lot of information in one picture. It would be beneficial to have AI or ML features in QlikView. However, I think they will decommission QlikView, and AI features are already available in Qlik Sense, so you would need to migrate to that platform.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The email traffic analysis feature is very useful."
"We can use the dashboard to see which Exchange servers are currently having issues, their health, and other details. The GUI is very good."
"Scripting as per a customer's need, which is a pretty cool feature and not available in other tools."
"This is a tool with a lot of functionality to provide any kind of reporting to customers, it has a range of solutions."
"Now reports are available in short time in a single source."
"We have enabled a user self service reporting capability supported minimally by IT for linking and sourcing of data."
"Completeness in functionality and user friendliness are the product’s most valuable features."
"Annual Information from public sector following transparency laws are now publicized in an automated way, whereas previously this task involved a lot of scripting development and data warehouse routines such as ETL, and now all this is done using QlikView and raw data."
"We realised instant value through data discovery not previously possible with traditional BI."
"Personally, QlikView is the best when you talk about fast delivery and visualisation."

Cons

"There is room for improvement in the reporting, maybe having more customizable reports would be good."
"I am primarily interested in reporting and automation improvements."
"Although Qliktech's road map clearly states that QlikView has a long way to go, most of the R&D effort seems to be benefiting Qlik Sense."
"Currently, there is no SaaS licensing model."
"There is a challenge on the frontend when it comes to browsing data through QlikView, as it isn't entirely compatible with other platforms we use."
"The forecasting accuracy should be improved."
"QlikView is a very heavy RAM utilizer (all strong BI tools are). When we hit around 20 concurrent users, the user experience began to suffer."
"Sometimes large files are difficult to read and QlikView crashes midway."
"We wanted to upgrade to version 12 but had two models that were not reloading as expected and had to revert."
"The only thing I would improve about it is the fact that it refreshes all the time, and when it does that, it just deletes all the options you had, all the filters that you had selected, so you need to select them from the beginning."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing of Exchange Reporter Plus is very reasonable."
"I would rate the pricing a four out of ten, where one is low price and ten is high price. It is affordable."
"Its licensing costs are moderate, but it can get expensive due to the numerous add-ons available like those for printing."
"The pricing is too high compared to the other solutions on the market."
"Pricing is a bit too high and I think licenses should be unlimited."
"I rate QlikView's pricing a five out of ten."
"The setup costs for QlikView are fair as are the yearly maintenance fees. The licensing becomes a bit more expensive and requires some planning for onboarding."

"It is expensive for small companies."
"The pricing is moderate, in the medium price range."
