Useful training available, customizable, but security could improve
SAP Litmos need some improvement in the security functions. The security of the SAP Litmos is not up to the standard of the organizations because if you are hosting your content in SAP Litmos or any other LMS, then one of the major concerns for the company is to secure their training data to prevent the student from copying it. Additionally, we want to prevent students from sharing their logins with different users. In the last two to three years, there was not very much improvement in the security function of the SAP Litmos because students are easily able to copy the data from the online cloud to their desktop. They have to roll out some functions for which we can restrict, the copy-paste features in SAP Litmos itself. There must be some function through which we can restrict the number of views on the content. For example, if a student is accessing a post, then there should be some option to restrict the number of views on a post. If I want that student to have access to a specific topic a specific number of times, such as four or five times, then it would be a benefit for the administrators to secure their data. In this case, a student has a lesser possibility to share the login with multiple students if I restrict the number of views on a specific topic. They have to look at the copy and paste functions to secure them from being used in the data configuration. Restricting the number of views on a SCOM content or a video file. The overall integration could be improved, at this time they only support live webinars for Zoom and Go Webinar. Not every company uses these two applications, some companies use Zoho to deliver the training programs online. They should expand their integration with other applications. They can easily share the logins between multiple users. The security function is lacking. They have to work on the security functions of the SAP Litmos as a priority. The reporting function of SAP Litmos needs major improvements. The reports are not at par with other solutions on the market. It's not user-friendly or effective reporting which we can retrieve from other places.

Digital guidance has reduced support tickets and has improved onboarding and change adoption
WalkMe has helped us by reducing support tickets. If we have support tickets coming through about how to do a task in a system, we can reduce the time and cost for our support staff answering these tickets by addressing the queries with WalkMe content. WalkMe has positively impacted my organization by providing step-by-step tutorials using Smart Walk-Thrus, which offer contextual help using SmartTips and launcher buttons. It has saved us a lot of hours and dollars that we would have otherwise invested into creating training, coaching sessions, and many more. It has also provided support to users in their flow of work without burdening them to remember every feature from coaching sessions. Additionally, it has saved a lot of clicks for our users using automation and Auto-Steps in our tutorials, giving them productive hours back in their day and ensuring correct data from different systems by blocking or guiding users properly in critical forms. We have been able to save a lot of hours, ranging from three to four hours. Also, a lot of costs have been reduced, from thirty percent to twenty percent. We are able to show our stakeholders excellent, truthful analytics on how users are adopting the system quickly and easily using the built-in and customized reports available. There are also automated Smart Walk-Thrus for getting the job done faster, as well as chatbots for automating processes and filling in forms to save time and cost. WalkMe is a great tool to support digital transformation efforts at my organization or any organization, as it has reduced the training and learning time for both users and creators, and can also support onboarding.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The plug-and-play format can be deployed immediately which is unlike its competitors that take three to four months."
"SAP Litmos brings more standardized training to our organizations."
"This is a very scalable solution. We had over 10,000 students in our instance and their billing model makes scaling affordable to do."
"The plug-and-play format can be deployed immediately which is unlike its competitors that require certifications, implementation partners, and phased testing that can take three to four months."
"Its user interface is quite good, the platform is quite user-friendly, and the UI/UX of the platform is very advanced, which helps in getting the users interested in the training."
"This complete product is highly scalable. Licensing is not based on number of total users on the system but rather only on active users. Litmos only charge for the number of users engaged in training. This is what makes this solution ideal for scale."
"It's a viable option because LMS would entail a significant amount of support and maintenance, while this solution could be completed and understood in a week, with very little maintenance required."
"Its user interface is quite good. The platform is quite user-friendly. The UI/UX of the platform is very advanced, which helps in getting the users interested in the training."
"Overall, WalkMe has helped support our customers and get them doing the things they should be doing in our app."
"Onboarding alone has saved our Implementation and Subject Matter Expert teams countless hours of work in demos and training calls."
"In my opinion, the best features WalkMe offers are mainly the faster route of onboarding users, since the use of WalkMe reduces support tickets, it gives us user context and we get natively integrated with the software we are using and all the platforms we have."
"WalkMe has positively impacted my organization with better change management, quicker onboarding, and fewer support tickets sent through from users using the product."
"WalkMe takes the focus off the admin to provide training and empowers the users to click on the walk-thru's."
"Customer Service: Does this go to 11? It's rare to encounter customer service that is as responsive and helpful as the folks at WalkMe."
"WalkMe is a great tool to support digital transformation efforts at my organization or any organization, as it has reduced the training and learning time for both users and creators, and can also support onboarding."
"Customer Service: A+, excellent, and our support advisor, Doug Sykes, was great, polite, understanding, patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the entire process, and I highly recommend working with him."

Cons

"The dashboards for this solution could be improved as they are not of the same standard and detail as those seen in Power BI. The graphics for the reporting could also be improved."
"The dashboards for this solution could be improved as they are not of the same standard and detail as those seen in Power BI."
"The rules are not very flexible in terms of administration. They have a predefined system with three standard rules that cannot be customized, modified, added, or removed."
"The reporting function of SAP Litmos needs major improvements. The reports are not at par with other solutions on the market. It's not user-friendly or effective reporting which we can retrieve from other places."
"The reporting could be improved. When we first subscribed to Litmos, it had a great reporting engine, but SAP altered it. Some of the changes have reduced the ability to extract reports from it. It's excellent for live data, but it can be tricky when I want to get a report."
"The solution lags in defined security parameters with only three predefined roles available."
"First of all, their issue resolution is really bad."
"You cannot make a course optional, so if I assign a course to someone, the system assumes that they have to complete it."
"The app is sometimes sluggish and has a steep learning curve for users who are trying to build WalkMes and are not tech savvy."
"I have not kept up with WalkMe over the years between 2019 and now, so I am not quite sure how it can be improved."
"The time needed to get started was far beyond what the sales team described in the sales process."
"WalkMe can be improved, particularly for larger enterprises, as there are challenges regarding audience targeting for lower-level SMB sectors."
"WalkMe definitely needs more work on analytics and more detailed reports."
"The biggest area for improvement is the onboarding and training."
"WalkMe is not an inexpensive tool, so it should be implemented broadly to make the investment worthwhile."
"Occasionally the system runs a little slowly, which can be frustrating to some of our fast paced end users, but that is more due to the robust number of Walk Thrus our team has created."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When we first purchased our subscription, we underestimated how many people we would have within a billing period. We had to adjust that in the first six months. I can't remember the exact numbers, but they charge a per user rate for a certain number, and you get a discount as the number of users goes up. It scales, which is a fairly reasonable way to build a pricing model."
"I do not have any idea about the licensing, but I know that it is quite expensive."
"This solution comes at a high price point. We also paid $4500 for a migration specialist from Litmos to assist in moving our content over. You are billed every month based on the number of users who have logged in and completed training."
"I don't know what the pricing model is at this point in time. I'm a consultant. The organizations that have purchased Litmos engage me to help them implement it, or Litmos engage me to be their external learning management system administrator. So, I don't see the rates, but based on the general comments that I've heard, it seems cost-effective and competitive with its competitors."
"It is priced per user license."
"The solution is priced per user which can get expensive."
"The pricing is really good. Its pricing is probably the most competitive I've seen for an LMS. If you need help with doing any type of custom design or customization, such as code design or anything like that with the site, then you have to use their people services, which would be an extra cost."
"If I have a domain and I want to link my custom domain to SAP Litmos, and if I want to remove the branding of the SAP Litmos, then they charge a large amount for it. It's not included in your subscription plan which we have purchased from them. In the last two to three years, we have never bought the custom domain. We have never linked our custom domain to SAP Litmos. The barrier for us is the high pricing. It is not a reasonable price."
