It's an inexpensive, scalable solution that has improved our security
We use Keeper to store passwords We previously kept our passwords in an Excel file. Using Keeper makes us more secure.  Keeper has strong security features.  The password rotation feature could be improved. I have used Keeper for three years. I rate Keeper eight out of 10 for stability.  I…

Straightforward software saves time with its simplicity and useful password management features
Secure password storage is the primary function of N-able Passportal that works well, and all the other features are add-ons. The best advantages of N-able Passportal are that the software is straightforward and easy to use. The ease of use is a significant benefit for N-able Passportal. If you need a degree to figure out how to do three small functions in your software package, it is not worth it because you will have to spend time figuring out what goes wrong. With how N-able Passportal software works, there is a perception of simplicity and straightforwardness. You do not have to sit and figure out what is happening. This is important because it saves time. You can always get more money and clients, but you can never get more time.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We can access our sign-ins and passwords on up to five devices per user. This means I can access a given site and my login and password for that site from my home and office computers as well as my phone and iPad."
"The ability to share credentials easily and securely was a big improvement."
"i have only one password to remember, which is the one to get me into Keeper."
"I like a couple of things about this solution. Being able to share passwords with other people is valuable. You can see if the information is out on the dark web and whether you have weak passwords and the last time they were changed. You could also have the 2FA or MFA codes embedded in the application so that you don't have to use your phone or any other 2FA device, which is something very important."
"Can create folders for specific types of information (i.e., work, personal, and school)."
"Keeper was user-friendly."
"It is nice to be able to use my Touch ID and have access to all my passwords in one place."
"Password sharing and SSO. These features almost become a necessity to make sure that company data is safe and reduce the possibility of data breach."
"The most valuable feature of the N-able Passportal is its functionality. You can store your passwords safely, and not just anyone can gain access to them. If you have an onsite system, it can change the password for you on a daily basis. This is a great benefit because you don't have to worry about if the account's breached tomorrow, your pass is going to be changed. It's perfect."
"The most valuable features of the N-able Passportal are the password rotations, and the ability to be able to store passwords. You can have it on your phone or your desktop. You're not required to have it only on your desktop computer."
"Passportal also helps manage assets. You can add information about your infrastructure, like routers, including model numbers, operating systems, expiration dates, and licensing."
"The ease of use is a significant benefit for N-able Passportal; if you need a degree to figure out how to do three small functions in your software package, it is not worth it because you will have to spend time figuring out what goes wrong."

Cons

"Possible offline access to passwords. Therefore, when internet access is unavailable, I can still access my vault."
"The stability of the solution can be improved."
"Needs to improve KeeperFill on iOS."
"Ability to set up password profiles that can predefine custom fields and password complexity."
"The password rotation feature could be improved."
"It would be nice to see this great tool integrate with other tools out there."
"The technical support for this solution could be faster support and improved if they had a better understanding of my questions."
"Maybe a sort of category organizer to help with organizing passwords for different things, such as banking, medical, shopping, and school."
"Sometimes accessing the solution is a bit slow, but that could be due to conditions at many different points. However, some issues that do arise are outside of our control."
"I'd like to see the ability to provide both credential management and documentation management for clients. Currently, they only get access to credential management."
"I do not see any return on investment in terms of savings, time saving, or money saving, especially since this economy is struggling."
"N-able Passportal can improve the stability because sometimes I can't log in. I had some issues a couple of months ago where I couldn't log in and that was problematic."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We chose their optional annual subscription; I believe we paid monthly — I thought it was a good deal."
"Pricing might be a little less, but with promo codes and family plan - best offer"
"Free works unless the paid is absolutely necessary."
"The pricing is available on the vendor's website."
"Just buy the yearly subscription."
"The more users, the better the price. Always opt for the live support."
"Its price is reasonable."
"ROI is hard to know, but it has to be several times the expense of the product."
"The price of N-able Passportal is approximately $15 for the license."
"For its value, Passportal's price is affordable."
