Fast and secure deployments simplify operations for government and fintech clients
It is a fast and secure DNS. It is very easy to deploy, and my customers are happy with this tool. Additionally, the CDN performance in Mexico is excellent, providing fast service and tools. It offers reliability during high-traffic periods, ensuring no impact on the environment. It helps my clients avoid using on-premise boxes, simplifying operations as they only use the prices on Cloudflare.

A comprehensive and advanced product that prevents DDoS attacks
Kaspersky DDoS Protection offers three layers of support. The first layer of support is from the reseller, the second from the distributor, and the third from Kaspersky itself. Kaspersky has two support options. If one of my clients to whom I have sold Kaspersky licenses is facing an issue, they have to register themselves and wait in queue for support. It can take around 24-72 hours. A client can buy support from Kaspersky directly for a whole year. This type of support is quick and good since they respond within an hour.

Multi-layered defense ensures robust protection and optimized resources
Radware DDoS Protection Service is valued for its multi-layered defense protection, always-on and on-demand service, zero-day protection with adaptive behavioral-based mitigation, DNS and infrastructure protection, and SSL attack mitigation. The solution's multi-layer protection covers volumetric, protocol-based, and application layer attacks. They offer a very effective response against DNS attacks. Regarding behavior-based detection technology, in terms of real-time detection, it has been able to reduce false positives. We have pretty good experience with them. The geolocation is pretty good for an organization such as ours. We can block anything from certain regions, like North Korea or China, etc, cetera. It works alongside machine learning. They can update policies globally in less than ten seconds, which really helps with false positives. During a DDoS attack, it ensures legitimate users are not affected. We're working on a hybrid solution, so we have Defence Pro devices on our side and unlimited mitigation capabilities on the cloud.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a stable solution. I rate the stability a ten out of ten...I rate the scalability a ten out of ten."
"What I like best about Cloudflare is that my company can use it to trace and manage applications and monitor traffic. The solution tells you if there's a spike in traffic. Cloudflare also sends you a link to check your equipment and deployment and track it through peering, so it's a valuable tool."
"The UI is good."
"New and innovative way to protect the client's data."
"Cloudflare is a security SaaS provider that provides security and protects us from any application layer attack."
"Smaller businesses have seen great ROI due to the low investment and strong performance."
"I like Cloudflare's application gateway and DDoS protection."
"Cloudflare consolidates various capabilities into one product, streamlining processes."
"It is a mature product and we have not faced any DDoS attack. The tool is a comprehensive and advanced product. The solution is compatible with third-party products."
"Radware DefensePro is one of the best solutions for on-premise protection."
"It offers valuable insights into ongoing and past attacks, aiding in post-incident analysis and continuous improvement of our cybersecurity strategy."
"The reporting is very good and provides us with a comprehensive description of where attacks are emanating from."
"The pricing is reasonable. It's not overly expensive."
"It ensures both security and performance. It achieves this by learning behavior patterns and providing protection without blocking normal traffic."
"The key strength of Radware's Cloud DDoS Protection Service is its behavior engine, which uses anomaly detection to identify and stop DDoS attacks."
"The product is very effective and performs well on devices."
"The important features include automated protection and defense against many attacks, it's important that our networks are protected in the Radware cloud."

Cons

"The documentation could improve for Cloudflare DNS."
"The tool needs to improve caching of servers. The product needs to include PFX certificate as well."
"There are some issues with the CDN services."
"We're facing challenges due to an upgrade in the machine learning model. The problem arises from some users abusing the APIs, resulting in an influx of suspicious traffic. Cloudflare's learning model mistakenly identifies this traffic as human. Consequently, it assigns it a higher trust score, akin to legitimate human traffic, causing complications in our architecture. Previously, such traffic would have been categorized as suspicious, enabling us to apply appropriate blocking rules. However, we encounter difficulties distinguishing between genuine and suspicious traffic with the new categorization. Despite these challenges, overall, Cloudflare remains the preferred solution compared to Azure, AWS CloudFront, and Google Cloud Armor."
"The product support needs to be accessible from more places, a wider area of coverage."
"Cloudflare could be improved by introducing a mid-tier pricing option."
"For the free and Pro plans, Cloudflare could use a simple bot to provide information to users. This would improve support, especially for less advanced users who utilize the free components."
"It would be beneficial for us if Cloudflare could offer a scrubbing solution. This would involve taking a snapshot of my website and keeping it live during a DDoS attack, ensuring uninterrupted service for our users. DDoS attacks are typically short in duration, and having Cloudflare maintain the site's availability from its secure network would enhance the overall user experience. I would appreciate it if Cloudflare could consider implementing this feature. Many organizations already utilize similar capabilities in their CDN platforms, where a static snapshot of the web page is displayed during DDoS attacks. In terms of features, Cloudflare needs to enhance its resilience and stay more focused on adopting new technologies. For instance, solutions like F5 XC Box, Access Solution, and Distributed Cloud Solution have impressive features, and Cloudflare should strive to match and exceed those capabilities. There's a need for improvement in areas like AI-based DDoS attacks and Layer 7 WAF features. Cloudflare should prioritize enhancements in areas such as behavioral DDoS and protection against SQL injection attacks, considering the prevalent trend of public exposure to the internet for business reasons. Overall, Cloudflare needs to invest more in advancing its feature set."
"Kaspersky DDoS Protection's cloud version does not support all the features of its on-prem version. The solution needs to improve its support since clients can face issues that hurt their network. They would need an immediate response."
"Their Cyber Security Controller portal, including its GUI and dashboard, could be more intuitive so CXOs can easily understand them."
"Its documentation is not 100% clear, making it the weakest aspect of Radware. We have encountered some difficulties in understanding how to configure it correctly."
"It currently takes about 15 to 20 minutes for the process to complete, which should be minimized."
"There needs to be more reporting."
"If they would go to a cloud-based approach, that would give much more flexibility in terms of working with them."
"It would be ideal if they could expand protocol support to cover emerging communication standards and ensure comprehensive protection against diverse attack vectors."
"I suggest improvements to the user interface to make it easier to use and to find the necessary data for analysis."
"Radware DefensePro requires a continuous learning process. Using this technology, we can improve our network. Based on the different attack mechanisms, we use Radware DefensePro to provide security for our clients' networks very effectively."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When you compare Cloudflare DNS to other solutions, such as Akamai, the price is reasonable."
"For Cloudflare, I recommend it heavily for small businesses with revenue under a couple of million dollars. Onboarding is easy, and they even have a free plan. This makes it simple for businesses in the $100,000-$500,000 range to try it out and see its value, allowing them to scale up their infrastructure as needed."
"The solution has many features but there are ones that you need to pay for. Sometimes you have to find out which is available for free and which you have to pay for."
"We are using the free version."
"The price is reasonable."
"I give the price a five out of ten."
"I believe their performance has improved, but I'd like to refrain from discussing the pricing aspect related to the cloud. The pricing, in my opinion, could be simplified, and I think they should consider reevaluating the pricing for support, as it can be quite high. At times, this cost can make it challenging to choose CARFAGuard or opt for the support."
"The price of the solution is expensive."
"Kaspersky DDoS Protection's prices are average. Compared to other brands, prices are competitive. When you purchase many licenses, you get a heavy discount. However, the prices are not affordable."
"The price was well over six figures."
"Radware DefensePro is a bit on the expensive side."
"The Radware DefensePro was bundled together with our security platform."
"The NetFlow security could be improved too."
"Radware Cloud DDoS is very expensive."
"It is expensive. I would rate it a seven out of ten for pricing."
"The pricing is okay, and I do not have any concerns about the price."
"It is sort of middle-of-the-road for this type of solution."
