Has 360 degree customer view but needs to improve workflow
Because Salesforce is a cloud solution, sometimes we have issues with speed. We experience a lot of delays. The data queries are at times separated and do not match properly. To obtain insights from data, we need to map or match the datasets and define the relationships between them. However, in Salesforce it is very difficult to define relationships between datasets. They do not provide any customization features; they are all global/standard. Because the sales department needs many functions to deal with sales or government policies, like taxes, they cannot develop the features in OCE. As a result, we cannot provide Salesforce as a single solution. The workflow process is not complete. They need to achieve more knowledge and experience in this industry.

Integration across functionalities has streamlined business operations and improved cost efficiency
Odoo's documentation needs improvement, as there are areas that are not well-documented. Additionally, some underlying technologies need refactoring to more modern structures. Although it's not immediately necessary since the system works, changes to the architecture would be beneficial. From the transition from version 17 to 18, it appears they are aware and have begun addressing some of these concerns.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"As a result, many people can access the data and gain insights."
"I've found the customer 360 degree view to be valuable."
"It's convenient that we have an all-in-one holistic solution."
"I find the financial module, along with the integrations of projects and the HR human resource module, to be the most valuable aspects of Odoo."
"We like how the solution is integrated."
"The most valuable features of Odoo are its customization and the fact that I can add modules whenever I want to the solution and the customization."
"What I appreciate most about this solution is its ease of customization compared to other products. Odoo is straightforward and simpler to customize. Additionally, it offers stability by decentralizing the entire ERP with multiple products, making management and support more efficient. Moreover, the availability of talent in India is a key advantage, as the salaries for Odoo professionals are relatively lower than SAP or Oracle ERP professionals. This makes it easier for us to find suitable talent for projects seamlessly."
"I like the helpdesk module, and I like the simplicity of integration among their modules. All the modules are very well integrated, and you can move among the modules in an easy way."
"Odoo is a cloud-based SaaS system, which is better than having the program on the desktop."
"Odoo's setup phase is easy."

Cons

"Because Salesforce is a cloud solution, sometimes we have issues with speed. We experience a lot of delays."
"Odoo has room for improvement in industry-specific features."
"Odoo's automation and workflow design tools could be better. It has some limitations compared to other ERP solutions like SAP. You should have the option to design workflows in order using BPM diagrams and tools that make it more versatile in terms of adapting to any workflow through low code."
"The human resources portion could be improved."
"Odoo’s asset management, supply chain, and advanced manufacturing should be improved."
"The solution is good, but the user interface is not the best."
"The authorization management needs to be improved."
"They could add more features and details regarding the business details and some extra modules for business features."
"It has been difficult to adapt to continuous changes, you have to understand what is new and what is changing in less than twelve months. You can take advantage of the new features, but you have to research them to be able to implement them."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"OCE is less expensive than Veeva, for instance."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one means high price, and ten means low price, I rate Odoo's pricing a five or six out of ten."
"Odoo is cheap compared to competitors."
"I would rate this product on pricing as a six. If it is a SaaS solution, it is fixed. It is reasonably expensive."
"The pricing is quite affordable, especially when compared to other products, making it a cost-effective choice."
"The cost is expensive but cheaper than some other competitors."
"Currently, we pay around 5000-6,000 USD per month, though I am not sure. We have to pay additionally for maintenance and support."
"I would rate the price as a one out of ten, with ten being the most expensive."
"It is very affordable for any type of business. And this is one of the main advantages of Odoo. Small businesses can subscribe and this is a very good feature."
