Hybrid cloud projects have become smoother and studies rely on intuitive monitoring tools
In my opinion, the best feature of Ignition is its user-friendly interface for development, which is easy to understand and intuitive, plus the user manual and forum provide excellent support; many of my doubts have been answered there, and I appreciate the Linux compatibility, as it can enhance performance for clients. Another good feature is the Tag Historian module, which is practical and simple to configure. The simplicity of the Tag Historian module has helped us in our projects, as it is very easy to use, and the quality of the documentation and database table forms is very good compared to other SCADA software. Another notable feature is the improved communication form when using the OPC UA module, which enhances the interaction between SCADA servers, clients, and other devices, making it more performant than other SCADA solutions.

Centralized roadmaps have aligned teams and now improve customer-driven market decisions
I am a huge fan and believe Productboard was a good partner for Megaport during my time at the company. I have no complaints about the product itself. My only consideration involves the fact that Megaport is a small company with about 250 people. We originally purchased a 15 seat license agreement, and about a year after we made that deal, it became apparent that we really only needed two, three, or four seats. Productboard was not as quick as one would hope to adjust our contract to align with our actual needs, which was a challenge for a very small company with limited finances. Licensing flexibility is the main area for improvement. The features, functionality, and how we used Productboard was really good. The lack of flexibility around licensing was the only challenge for us as a small company. When I arrived, the agreement had already been set up where we had 15 licenses, and after being there for a year, we quickly realized we only needed two to three licenses because there were not many content creators, though there were about 100 content viewers. When we asked to scale back our licenses, we encountered considerable friction. This was the primary issue we faced.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"Ignition is easy to use with abundant information available through the forum or user manual, and the support service is exceptional, providing answers in less than four to six hours."
"Productboard has positively impacted my organization by reducing the churn rate by two percent."
"The biggest positive impact of Productboard on my organization or consulting work has been more defensible prioritization, as connecting feedback to a roadmap idea allows me to show stakeholders which customer needs informed it and have focused discussions about its impact."
"Productboard has impacted our organization positively by helping us become more transparent across all the different departments, particularly when it comes to dependencies that people have on other departments and other product managers."
"After adopting Productboard, I have noticed concrete results such as having the dashboards available allowed me to make quick decisions regarding the sprint and things that happened related to deliveries that were going to be late, but ended up working out due to decision-making with the data being displayed there by the platform."
"Productboard has impacted our organization positively, saving a lot of people's time, generating some new ideas, and providing optimized planning."
"The best features Productboard offers are the insights along with the possibility to have the impacts."
"Productboard absolutely helped with customer satisfaction because we also took that product roadmap and displayed it for customers, sharing the customer roadmap with them."

Cons

"Improving Ignition's performance in the Perspective module would be beneficial, specifically the loading speed of faceplates in views with many embedded views, but overall it is a very good software, and I need to think harder to find improvements."
"Productboard was not as quick as one would hope to adjust our contract to align with our actual needs, which was a challenge for a very small company with limited finances."
"From a business perspective, we did not really see much positive effect from Productboard."
"I do not see a major scope for improvement at this time, but I see more potential for GenAI."
"I have not gotten any return on investment yet; I know we had a reduction compared to our previous platform, but I do not have that more detailed data."
"Regarding how Productboard can be improved, I think what I would want more of is perhaps some more keyboard shortcuts, as I feel sometimes it is a bit difficult to navigate around and I prefer to do things extremely quickly."
"The main improvement I would focus on for Productboard is reducing the work required between collecting feedback and making decisions, as grouping similar comments and keeping the links to roadmap ideas accurate can take considerable effort as feedback volume grows."
"Productboard is pretty stable, but sometimes we get some bugs around it that can be resolved."
