Automation has transformed financial workflows and has improved revenue tracking and compliance
Regarding Watsonx, I am uncertain whether it is fully complied and fully integrated with IBM Business Automation Workflow yet. Currently, we use some AI in Enterprise Content Management, particularly when searching documents. Archiving snapshots would be very beneficial. It would be good to reduce the administration effort required to archive snapshots, as this is a main issue with the product. I would also recommend that IBM engage with customers more deeply. Rather than sending URLs or documentation for customers to solve problems independently, the support team should be more involved in addressing the client's specific issues in a targeted manner, providing clear guidance on what actions need to be taken.

An easy-to-use solution with great integration
It involves a lot of investment. The learning curve is not similar to other products, like K2. Regarding the user interface, I have to access workflows and define and manage the processes on the variant of a Windows application, which is not accessible if you don't have access from the client to install it on the workstation. And most of the solutions we're currently evaluating are web-based. Our customers and developers have complained that the UI is a little bit confusing. It has lots of elements. It's not user-intuitive compared to other products. Other than that, the licensing model is our main concern.

Pros

"IBM Business Automation Workflow is a good tool provided you can use it cross-platform where there are a lot of features."
"The product is suitable for knowledge management processes."
"It is the only product that includes capture content management and a process suite, as well as rules in RPA."
"The most valuable feature is automation, which is quite strong and we are quite happy with it."
"No matter what somebody's technical experience level is, the tool can start adding value immediately. Even if that is just an analyst who doesn't have any technical background, they can use some of these no quote accelerators to get things from ideation to deployment in a matter of minutes."
"IBM Business Automation Workflow is stable because the different infrastructure elements, such as the OS and middleware have been used for a long time."

"The Conductor and Decision features of the product are the backbone of the product because it enables the user to create a custom ruleset which can be used to implement the order orchestration."
"Overall, it is a very good product as it is very stable, scalable, and most of the services that we are running using TIBCO are in the back end."
"It's very simple to use and the integration features between Java and other services within the workflow are very easy."

"The SCADA Systems are very sophisticated and have a hard time integrating with our older scales."
"While everything is integrated into one platform, I'd like guidelines on when and how to use ODM. This applies not only to implementation but also to automation processes. Additionally, proper instructions should be provided when installing on the cloud."
"The main areas which need improvement are specifically around reporting and analytics."
"There are several areas where improvements could be made including with engagement of OCR capabilities. We currently need to write a lot of customization code and I think if that could be reduced it would improve performance."
