Offers reliable Ops Agent and logging transport feature with easy third-party integrations
As part of our company, we implemented several changes in our log analytics pattern, including the storage and procurement process. Earlier, before implementing the solution, our company was able to procure only one year of data, but later, we came to the three-year mark. Around 15-20% reduction has been witnessed in the total analytic consumption of our company. The aforementioned result was possible because the solution allowed the creation of a dashboard where factors like storage costs, proportion of logs, and logs presence in a storage bucket or Big Query can all be checked. Earlier all logs were stored in a raw storage, but currently our company is able to move logs in table bucket that contributes towards cost savings. It has default integration for all gcp services. recently managed Prometheus support gives more flexibility to organizations to remain connected with their current Prometheus setup. We leveraged integrated FinOps Hub for recommendations for our workloads and server configurations, helpd us lot in order to get maximum TCO.

Has faced limitations in AI capabilities and pricing flexibility
Pricing-wise, Wazuh stands out, along with deployment flexibility and its documentation which is extremely good in comparison to Forti. The community support is also incredible. They have helped quite a bit because previously, we had a separate tool and management dashboard to do our compliance. With Wazuh, we receive that information without having to do anything extra. We just set up the SIEM and all of that information was automatically populated. The dashboards are very easy to understand and very quick with no lag or delay. I have experienced delays on Forti's dashboards, but not with Wazuh. Wazuh is quite good. In comparison to Forti, they are quite similar. They are very good at detection.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I would tell potential users that the current version is much nicer than the previous one."
"It has really been helpful in detecting, identifying, and troubleshooting issues with cloud services used in the organization."
"Google's technical support is very good."
"The most valuable feature is the multi-cloud integration, where there is support for both GCP and AWS."
"The solution has improved our organization by reducing latency and also monitoring the costs of GCP usage by using the logging and monitoring features."
"It's easy to use."
"The cloud login enables us to get our logs from the different platforms that we currently use."
"Google Stackdriver is all about activity."
"It offers built-in modules for file integrity and vulnerability management."
"It is excellent in terms of visualization and indexing services, making it a powerful tool for malware detection."
"It is a stable solution."
"It's stable."
"We use it to find any aberration in our endpoint devices. For example, if someone installs a game on their company laptop, Wazuh will detect it and inform us of the unauthorized software or unintended use of the devices provided by the company."
"Other than that, it's a highly recommended product from our side, and we wish that this product had intel support."
"The reporting and attractive dashboard are the most valuable features."
"The product’s interface is intuitive."

Cons

"While we are satisfied with the overall performance, in certain cases we must add additional metrics and additional tools like Grafana and Dynatrace."
"This solution could be improved if it offered the ability to analyze charts, such as a solution like Kibana."
"The process of logging analytics can be improved"
"The product provides minimal metrics that are insufficient."
"It is difficult to estimate in advance how much something is going to cost."
"If I want to track any round-trip or breakdowns of my response times, I'm not able to get it."
"Lacking sufficient operations documentation."
"It could be more stable."
"Wazuh could improve the detection, it is not detecting all of the attacks. Additionally, it is lacking features compared to other solutions."
"Its user interface for sure can be improved. It is not so comfortable to use if you're looking for specific logs."
"Log data analysis could be improved. My IT team has been looking for an alternative because they want better log data for malware detection. We are also doing more container implementation also, so we need better container security, log data analysis, auditing and compliance, malware detection, etc."
"The biggest part that's missing is threat intelligence. It isn't inbuilt, and if a sudden incident occurs, we don't get that feedback inside the SIEM tool. That's a big gap, I see. It would be better if we could get the threat intelligence feeds integrated with the SIEM tools. That would help us push value solutions to the clients in a big way."
"Wazuh's scalability and out-of-the-box functionality are slightly lagging behind, but Wazuh has improved a lot since the first time we saw it."
"Wazuh needs more security and features, particularly visualization features and a health monitor."
"Wazuh is not easily scalable. You have to consider the sources of events and maybe the amount of traffic."
"When I face a challenge, I prefer not to spend too much time on it and may move to another solution that will give us the results."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost could be lower."
"The cost of using Stackdriver depends on usage."
"We have a basic standard license without any additional costs."
"The solution's cost is above the average."

"Wazuh is an open-source tool, which means it is freely available for use."
