Limits outside access and secures internal systems through straightforward setup
The best features GoodAccess offers are that it is very simple to use for users and very simple to set up for administrators. When I say it is simple to set up, I mean it has a simple interface with not many options to explore, and it is very straightforward.GoodAccess has positively impacted my organization as we have fewer IPs to whitelist and limited access for anybody outside of our organization into our internal systems. This has definitely increased security, but I do not have a measurable number to indicate how much it improved in percentage or absolute terms.

Browser security has strengthened web DLP and protects unmanaged devices from data exfiltration
SD-WAN capability is another solution, and it is not Prisma Access Browser; we do not have SD-WAN capability with Prisma Access Browser. I would like to improve the private access to do the ZTNA. I think that Palo Alto has released the versions and integrated the private access in Prisma Access Browser, but I'm not sure. The feature that is missing in Prisma Access Browser is the capability to monitor the private access where a user can access a private app with authentication, posture, and granular access. Regarding the pricing aspect, many customers find that the solution is a little bit expensive. Palo Alto should reconsider the pricing as it is a bit expensive.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The dashboard is pretty sleek and complete."
"Static IP Addresses with multiple gateway options per team allow us to set up different teams with different network accesses."
"We love the simple interface and speed and reliability of the system."
"Their user interface is intuitive as it is easy to navigate."
"GoodAccess has significantly improved security in our organization."
"No extra hardware is needed, and it is very easy to set up"
"The best features GoodAccess offers are that it is very simple to use for users and very simple to set up for administrators."
"GoodAccess VPN has brought a transformative shift to our organization, notably enhancing collaboration and enabling seamless remote work."
"The most interesting use case that interests our customers is the DLP features on Prisma Access Browser; it is a great DLP solution with watermark and prevents data exfiltration."
"Prisma Access Browser improves security because the browser is one of the attack surfaces, it needs more security on the endpoint device and standardization of device usage, and it also helps standardize the access policy to the internet."
"Prisma Access Browser is the most capable, advanced, and flexible product."

Cons

"GoodAccess can be improved by providing more editable options on the admin side. I would like to see more options and more granular controls for users who know what they are doing as an administrator."
"Adding one user at a time to the package as compared to blocks of five would be helpful. Currently, we end up with empty seats on our plans."
"For small organizations, it works great. However, the larger the organization, the more scalable the pricing model, the better, since gateways can be very expensive if an organization needs multiple gateways."
"We are having a problem with accessing Microsoft Copilot while connected. GoodAccess is working on the issue, but fixing this will be a help to us. There is nothing else at the moment that we need to have improved for our usage."
"This past year, I did not like having to purchase an upgrade to a plan with a minimum number of seats to get the features we needed. We do not use all of the seats."
"It is worth mentioning that we do experience disconnects on rare occasions."
"There could be a better view of which type of communication is going through the system."
"The interface could provide more extensive information regarding the occurrence of threats. Currently, it only displays rudimentary threat data."
"On a scale of one to 10, I would rate Palo Alto's customer service or technical support as three. Their support is very poor."
"Regarding the pricing aspect, many customers find that the solution is a little bit expensive."
"The maturity of the product needs improvement as the implementation is very complex."
"In the beginning, the solution may not be very user-friendly and could be complex."
