Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The tool continuously improves, adapting to support new vendors and technologies. Importantly, it automates the process, triggering alerts when devices require attention, and eliminating the need for manual intervention.""FortiMonitor is really easy to use for monitoring the logs on FortiGate...It is a stable product.""With FortiMonitor, you can get all the logs of the traffic information of the destination or the source.""In FortiMonitor, we're linked up with our Netgear, CactusServer, and NOC. It's really valuable because everything's migrating to one dashboard for us system engineers. We can keep an eye on traffic, blocked sites, and the health of our hardware. That last part, about knowing if something's going to fail soon, is super important. It gives us time to sort things out before any big problems happen. As a system engineer, I need to keep tabs on everything – temperature, monitoring systems, and network operations. This data is really handy because it helps me ensure our site runs smoothly, whether it's turning systems on or off. Just last night, there was a system failure, but thanks to real-time monitoring, I quickly identified the problem and got the necessary replacement parts.""It provides the best firewall features.""The most valuable feature of this solution is what the devices are used for. We have big backups for our Cradlepoint solutions, but FortiMonitor is a great routing device and we love working with them.""The solution helps to see client infrastructure. It has many boxes and blinks green or red when the station goes up or down. We have different domains for the device groups that we monitor.""The most valuable feature of FortiMonitor is the overall ability to monitor the health of the environment."

"The visualizer feature provides end-to-end analysis on all the machines.""SysTrack gathers a lot of different metrics on every single device including performance metrics and application-related metrics such as application usage and resource utilization by applications. It collects a wide range of different metrics, and from that perspective, it's a really good tool.""When a user calls in and says that they are having slowness issues, this tool has the capability to show exactly where the performance issue is. The Resolve feature that they have is very good. It is one of the main features. They are doing a pretty good job with the Resolve feature in terms of showing endpoint performance on various factors.""The Resolve part is valuable. It allows the service desk team to perform a couple of fixes or things to mitigate an incident before it's escalated to L2 or L3. It's a cool feature. If you have the sensor activity for Outlook and something has gone wrong, even the service desk can take those steps.""When you search for a machine or a user, the way we get the information is very helpful. The GUI provides us with all the information about that machine that a user is accessing. It tells us about the CPU, memory, etc. The GUI and the details provided are very helpful.""SysTrack monitors user experience and represents it in the form of a composite score. The scores are placed on a timeline, so you can see how it has gotten better or worse compared to two weeks ago. It gives you a score at the personal, unit, and organizational levels. For example, the score for my entire organization in SysTrack is 77. It's also effective for monitoring user experience and resources in a VDI environment.""I am impressed with the huge amount of information that you can get from the infrastructure.""It is a stable product. I would rate its stability a nine out of ten."

Cons
"FortiMonitor could improve by having compatibility with other operating systems, such as Linux.""We use FortiToken, and it's a pain to use because you have to send things through your phone and then confirm by email. Only after this can you log in. It's dual-factor authentication. I wish that I could just log in or bring up a dashboard where I could log in from.""Sometimes, during high CPU usage, we cannot access FortiMonitor and must refresh it.""FortiMonitor needs to improve its alert system.""There is room for improvement in the FortiMonitor report. It is not ideal for showcasing to tech customers or managers, especially when trying to display high CPU usage from logins within a specific range of months or the most recent month.""The solution's initial setup process is time-consuming."". Enhancements in the dashboard, such as clearer alerting, maintenance window management, software version tracking, and better visualization, would be beneficial.""I think the current features are really good for me, nothing else comes to mind right now. Maybe some small improvements could be made in the customization and configuration part of the UI to make it easier or more intuitive. Customizable UI options, like we saw in the demo, could be helpful for everyone. But in our operational environment, having clear health status and system details is crucial for us system engineers. One feature I'd really like to see is a credential management system. It would help us keep track of who's logged in and how many times, which is important due to user restrictions. Sometimes, we need to manage logins more efficiently, like logging off other users to free up credentials. So having a feature like that would be really helpful."

"Lacks flexibility with regard to licensing.""When I create a dashboard for a computer-based GPO or user-based GPO, I get details of all the GPOs, but the feature that we found missing is that SysTrack doesn't state how many seconds were required to apply a GPO. It doesn't tell us how many nanoseconds, seconds, or minutes it is taking to process or apply a GPO on a machine. This feature is not there. When there are major issues, if we have the processing time in place, it will help us to identify whether it could be an issue with the domain controller or something else. It would give us a clear understanding to engage other teams for resolving the issue.""Certain features haven't been tested sufficiently and don't work well.""Their dashboard could be better. They did it custom, which is the main problem. They should have given an option to integrate it with some of the tools such as Power BI. Unfortunately, they are developing their own native dashboarding capabilities, which is killing them, in my view. The product is good, but dashboarding has been a pain area. I have to literally learn a new BI or dashboarding solution just for a system. We have 100 such kinds of solutions in our environment. If every solution has its custom solution for dashboarding, we can't survive. It is going to be crazy.""The tool needs to improve the integration with third-party providers like Cisco products.""If they can integrate some kind of remote administration tool, like the LogMeIn tool, it would be helpful for the DDS team members, as well as for the global team members. We need not search for an additional tool for troubleshooting purposes. Currently, we are using one tool for governance and then we have SysTrack for monitoring the endpoints. There are two tools, and we are spending money on both.""If I have my system running, and I'm changing my hardware in the VDI environment, I want to choose a date and see the difference before and after the event.""The solution lacks AI in its analysis module."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The price of FortiMonitor is approximately $200 annually for 225 users. The price is competitive."
  • "We have a large customer base for Fortinet, and the additional buying power got us really great discounts."
  • "There are additional costs needed for certain functionality, such as scalability."
  • "On a scale from one to ten, I rate the pricing a nine since it is a good solution that is available at a cheap price."
  • "In terms of licensing, while it may not be the most expensive option on the market, it's relatively cost-effective. You can obtain licenses at a lower cost, with the calculation being straightforward. For example, if you onboard around 5,000 devices, you'll need approximately 5,000 licenses, as each device typically counts as one license."
  • "FortiMonitor's price is very high."
  • "Compared to other solutions, FortiMonitor is a very expensive solution."
  • More FortiMonitor Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It is on a per-device basis. It is not on a per-user basis. I was not much engaged in the licensing piece. I was only a part of the conversation about how we are going to scale up or down, but its price, for sure, is competitive."
  • "Cost-wise, SysTrack has a higher rate than other products, such as Nanoheal, but the features that SysTrack has aren't there in any other product available in the market."
  • "If you compare cloud solutions to SysTrack, which is on-premises, then SysTrack is cheaper. If you compare the cost of SysTrack with that of other similar solutions, the cost is similar. For each master server, there's a license. In terms of end user devices, the licenses are sold in multiplications of 10. That's one upfront cost. Once you procure the license, you can use the software for as long as you like. The maintenance is sold on an annual basis. Additional costs are related to hosting and include a SQL server license and Windows server licenses."
  • "I would rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten."

    Overview

FortiMonitor is a comprehensive, SaaS-based digital experience monitoring (DEM) platform that helps organizations modernize their performance-monitoring tools. It provides visibility into endpoint application performance and digital experience—no matter where the user resides or where the application is hosted.

SysTrack is a digital experience monitoring solution that is designed to empower users to track every aspect of their digital workplaces. Anything and everything that might impact an end user’s experience or an organization’s business productivity can be monitored by administrators using SysTrack. This solution contains many powerful tools that are designed to give administrators the maximum amount of insight into the inner workings of and control over their digital workspaces.

    SysTrack Benefits

Some of the benefits that come from using SysTrack include:

    • Leverage AI to aid in the processing of massive loads of data. SysTrack employs an AI algorithm that enables administrators to easily analyze 10,000 plus data points at any given time. This makes it possible for administrators to utilize and analyze their system’s data effectively without having to hire a large staff to pore over incoming data streams. Staff can now be assigned to areas of greater need, as the processing of data is partially being done by the AI algorithm.
    • Discover the root causes of various IT issues that arise. The AI that SysTrack uses digs down into the data streams that run through the networks they run on and mine them for information. This mining makes it possible for the AI to learn where issues arise and makes it possible for administrators to take steps to prevent such issues from arising in the future.
    • Identify areas where you have over- or under-provisioned resources. SysTrack’s AI provides visibility into many different areas of a user’s digital workspace. One of these areas is the provisioning of digital resources. It can make it possible for administrators to find areas where too many resources, or, alternatively, not enough, are being allocated. Administrators can ensure that resources are being appropriately used.

    SysTrack Features

When users choose to employ the SysTrack solution, they gain access to many different capabilities. These features include:

    • Customizable dashboards. Administrators can build dashboards that are most suited to meet all of their needs. SysTrack comes equipped with tools that make it easy for administrators to create the dashboards most suited to their operational needs.
    • Data visualization tools. SysTrack is designed with built-in tools that allow users to represent data as more than just strings of numbers. These tools enable administrators to transform data into easy-to-understand visual representations. Massive and confusing streams of data can be made more easily accessible for those for whom strings of numbers can be hard to interpret.
    • Digital workplace experience monitoring tools. SysTrack’s AI algorithm gives administrators the ability to keep track of every aspect of a user’s workplace experience. This gives administrators and IT professionals insights that enable them to prevent any sort of breakdown from occurring in their digital workplace environment. Users can monitor even the most minute aspects of their networks. Nothing will take administrators or IT professionals by surprise when they are using SysTrack’s experience monitoring tools.
    • Custom report creation tools. SysTrack comes with tools that enable users to create reports that address the areas that most align with their business priorities. These reports make it possible for users to track and keep records of how their workspaces are running.
