Though the tool's users experience a return on investment, the runtime reliability needs improvement
Functionality-wise, I would say that Fabric Commerce Platform has to have more sophisticated pricing algorithms specific to B2B and B2C in a pretty simple manner to make sure that you have a product and its price. B2B pricing depends on factors like transportation and a bunch of other parameters. The runtime reliability of the system is a little bit challenging.

Connecting web sales with existing operations has improved, but layout and integration need work
The most valuable features in Shopify are the ease of integration. The downside is that the layout is not adaptable as someone would expect. For some customers, Shopify is not a viable option because it is not adaptable enough. Adaptability is mostly related to the layout and specific things related to the business branch. I have not been a partner or reseller of Shopify. I belong to a company that delivers architects who help customers find the best product and support them in implementation. In many cases, it is not only software that needs to be installed; organizations also need to adapt. For instance, if you really want to sell through the web, you need to be capable of setting up an organization to deliver products the next day or faster. Many organizations are not capable of doing this, so they need to change procedures in their warehouses and sales operations. It is not only about the software.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's most valuable feature stems from its usefulness as a PIM software, CMS, and storefront."
"It has a brilliant inventory system to help you manage your store."
"The product has a few free-to-use features. It is easy to navigate and has good visuals as well."
"Shopify is easy to start and has an intuitive onboarding process for customers."
"Shopify provides an easy to use service at the backend that includes product upload, customer service, team settings, and team customization."
"The most valuable feature of Shopify is its ease of use, as I do not need to integrate different services from different platforms, because Shopify makes it easier to have everything on one platform."
"The solution is highly customizable for our store’s e-commerce needs. We don't need to write any code as all the required features are already inbuilt. The front end can be easily customized. Moreover, this tool offers built-in integrations with payment gateway, messaging services like SMS and email, and logistics integration."
"Shopify is the best eCommerce platform on the market today."
"Unless your needs are quite complex, this is the most affordable and immediate solution to taking your online business live without developer help."

Cons

"The runtime reliability of the system is a little bit challenging."
"Many of our clients complain because Shopify is costly and not an open-source."
"There are some areas where improvements could be made. Currently, the platform only supports three product variants, and having the option for more variants would be beneficial. Additionally, we have to rely on external plugins for reviews and ratings, which could be more convenient if they were built-in."
"Shopify users pay a higher commission as they scale."
"The formatting within the user interface has its limitations."
"Previously, Shopify had a limitation of 200 product variations, which posed a challenge for businesses with multiple product options like different colors and sizes. However, they have increased this limit to 1,000 variations, greatly improving the platform's functionality. Besides that, I don't see any major issues that need improvement."
"The pricing plan is in need of improvement."
"A mobile app for end users should be integrated along with Shopify, rather than as an add-on product."
"For some customers, Shopify is not a viable option because it is not adaptable enough."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't think our company uses enough functionalities of Fabric Commerce Platform. I think that tool offers a better value proposition for B2C models."
"They have various plans including ones that are priced at $29 per month, $79 per month, and can go up to $300 per month."
"The pricing of the solution is economical. The enterprise version is more expensive, however, we do not use it. We pay for the license on a monthly basis and there are payment gateway charges associated with transactions, typically around two percent or as applicable."
"Depending on the client's requirements, they can choose either the basic plan or the premium plan."
"The tool's pricing depends on how big your online store is."
"This is the only platform to enforce its own transaction fee unless you use Shopify Payments Content, which doesn’t automatically reformat when you switch themes."
