Performs well, does not slow down the computer, and protects emails
The quality of protection is very important. The tool must also not slow down the computer. The quality of the user interface and the way the solution is updated must also be considered. The updates depend on certain situations. People who want to use the solution must check how it is working, check the memory, and the processes that are run. We must check if there are any unwanted features. For example, some antivirus tools install other services that are not necessary, and they are frequently updated. It won’t be a problem for a user who has a computer with more RAM, but it will be difficult to use it on an old computer with less RAM. The IT department uses remote features. Sometimes, they change some configurations remotely. Overall, I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Has provided strong data protection capabilities while offering valuable policy customization options
I find unique value in McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention specifically in controlling the application from a DLP perspective; when a computer downloads a package, you can understand where it downloaded this package from, and you can create a policy regarding the source of the download. This is actually an important and valuable feature, specifically in enterprises where they download, upload, and export critical reports from their business applications. I appreciate the customized policy features in McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention because we didn't find these features in other competing applications. This may be a requirement from business customers who have important or critical applications; they expect to understand that these are critical files because this is a critical application. This cannot be done although we are with Trellix or McAfee solution.

Pros

"This solution can be centrally managed."
"It is a very stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The Remote Administrator is the most valuable feature that ESET offers for us. Centralized management of our ESET environment is what I like about the Remote Administrator."
"The setup is getting easier."
"The most valuable feature is that everything is done on the server."
"It is very secure and we have finally decided to use this after a thorough check. The interface is easy to navigate."
"The tool does not slow down the computer."
"The product is easy to implement and configure."
"Offers some good protection features."
"Enables customization of file types and for different scenarios."
"McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention works perfectly as a DLP solution; it is a matured and established solution that may have a shortage in applying AI, but it has good new approaches in data classification, built-in solution, and also re-architecture for the OCR solution inside the application."
"The tool focuses on endpoints rather than networks. Endpoints cover everything. It wouldn't be possible to steal confidential information from endpoints."
"The pricing of the product is excellent. It's very affordable."
"This solution has a rich set of policies."
"McAfee Total Protection for Data Loss Prevention is a very stable product."
"I am impressed with the tool's firewalls and web protection."

Cons

"The solution should have better synchronization with active directory users and passwords for use in the encryption."
"The overall compatibility of the device is an area where the solution lacks."
"Sometimes the server console is very slow, so the performance could be improved."
"There should be more frequent updates."
"ESET Endpoint Encryption needs to improve pricing and security."
"I would like more robust reporting as part of the Remote Administrator."
"The product should be more responsive regarding feedback if it detects something in our infrastructure. I believe there's a backend that their engineers use to detect viruses in our system. We would appreciate it if they could promptly provide feedback and give us recommendations on how to better protect our infrastructure beyond their system. Additionally, we hope for improved integration with the other systems we currently use. It would be beneficial if they could collaborate to create something that facilitates integration between these systems."
"If you have issues with your network, you can't get updates, which is a problem."
"The solution needs to be a one-stop protection shop. And yet, the DLP isn't strong. Anyone can break it quite easily."
"Lacks GDPR regulations to enhance security."
"The product uses a lot of resources and because of this it is not always a good solution for every situation."
"The interface can be improved, it's too cluttered."
"When this solution is used it requires a lot of administration because the users can have difficulties using it and require assistance. The administrators are continuously modifying the policies for the users. Technical support will be used frequently."
"The pricing is high for licensing and support and the GUI interface is good but could use updating."
"The product fails to offer automatic classification capabilities to its users."
"The user interface is messy and could be simplified."
