Asset dashboards have created slow, rigid workflows and have limited effective life cycle tracking
The single dashboards do not help my team or the company as a whole. I feel the dashboards are not helpful because the search features are not customizable. The software is web-based and the server is extremely slow. To improve Endevor, its cloud or web-based server capabilities should be increased so that the software is faster. The ability to customize reports should be increased.

Have faced challenges in getting timely responses but have managed to streamline workflows and reduce infrastructure costs
My current company was not using any products apart from AMQ. I suggested it to them, which is why they started using it. I also suggested it to the customer. The feedback for Red Hat AMQ has been good. Based on this, we suggest it to our customers, and they are happy using that product. Our big customer, FedEx, which is one of the best and biggest giants in logistics and courier, started using it and they are happy with that. The base operating system, RHEL 8 and 9, is being used across the infrastructure. The server and critical applications and data are running on Red Hat 8 and 9. We are performing proper maintenance of the OS and it is working fantastically. We have not received any issues or complaints. Our domains include Human Gateway, pharmaceuticals, and automobile clients. The critical application is running on Microsoft Azure DevOps Server. When developers send code to us, we create the CI/CD pipeline and schedule jobs. The solution provides time savings and infrastructure savings. Multiple virtual machines are not required when installing applications in containerization, which saves infrastructure costs. We receive notifications about CPU, memory, and disk space utilization from time to time.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"They've got plug-ins now to run it through Eclipse, they've got a lot of APIs, they handle UNIX files. I can't really think of any serious lack that they haven't addressed."
"The flexibility, because I know a lot of the competition pigeonholes you into definitions and character limitations, and Endevor is wide open."
"The integrity of the system is valuable, providing secure, controlled access to source management and the typical check-in and check-out functions in a typical source management product."
"It is the Cadillac of that tool; there is no other tool that matches it on the market today, it is the best, and it is very stable."
"The approach of writing a single set of Endevor processors to work across multiple instances of the application (separate systems) made the processors fairly complex, but once you understand them, they are so powerful."
"It makes production changes much easier to implement, and to recover if there are problems."
"We backup people's source code for them."
"I like it because it customizable, and it's rock steady, it's a very robust and mature product."
"I am not familiar with any issues with respect to stability, and I have never seen Team System crash."
"The solution’s fast performance is its most valuable feature."
"At my previous employer, I had 100 or more programmers and the product handled everything like a charm, no problem."
"The valuable features are managing campaign boards, sprint planning with product backlog, sprint backlog, and velocity and capacity of the development team, and also the bar and chart graphics, which assist in tracking the day-to-day project status."
"The solution is pretty stable."
"I work with Microsoft and understand what they are trying to do; it really helps."
"The feedback for Red Hat AMQ has been good; based on this, we suggest it to our customers, and they are happy using that product."
"What I like about this solution is that it is one big framework, which everybody knows, so one can quite easily start-up new developers using it."

Cons

"Interfacing with some change control products that are not CA's, it's a little glitchy on the approvals of changes. It requires special needs for the users for approvals."
"I think the main focus should be the continuous delivery aspects."
"Endevor has not impacted my organization positively, if at all."
"I would rate it a solid eight out of 10, because it is stable, it serves the need that we have now. However, I don't know if it's serving where we are going with the Agile."
"It is stable. We do not have any issues with it. It is just complex because it is a tool set. It is not a plug and play kind of product at all."
"It's not a perfect solution."
"Learning the tool for the first time was extremely difficult, and it could be because of all the other processes we had around it."
"I find the ISPF interface to be lacking. It seems like you have to navigate to a lot of different screens to work with the same element."
"While the solution performs well overall, it would be beneficial if they provided quick links for immediate access to support when queries arise."
"The tool's subscriptions are expensive for medium and small businesses. It works fine on Windows. However, it is not stable on other platforms."
"Price is a concern, though we are currently managing."
"The product must improve its stability."
"I would say compared to some more modern tools which are made to work offline, with this solution you have to be connected all of the time and with a central server. In our case, it's not a big problem because we all work on-premises, but it can be an issue if you have teams in different locations."
"Accessibility switches available on the desktop should also be available on mobile devices for coding or developing on the go."
"The product should be priced better."
"Technical support is a bit lagging so could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's worth the value. The pricing is fairly good, justifiable for the return on investment."
"It's competitively priced and, as far as I know, it's just an enterprise license. We have found it is worth the money."
"Licensing is fairly simple, you don't need multiple licenses."
"The solution is very expensive."
"Just make sure if you are going to license, ensure you license the right features."
"The product is expensive."
"It is an open-source product from Microsoft."
"You can choose pricing from a variety of options. I would rate the product's pricing a six out of ten."
"The tool's licensing costs are yearly."
"There is no fee for the solution's community version."
"The price could be better."
