Effective for password rotation policies triggered by audit requirements, it helps maintain compliance standards and seamless integration with third-party tools
The "App to App" feature has been most impactful. It allows secure communication between applications without requiring direct user access, which is crucial for several applications. Additionally, working in the finance department, we are heavily focused on enhancing audit reporting and compliance. So, the GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) capabilities of Delinea Secret Server have also been crucial for us. We implemented a custom reporting system that can automatically send reports to auditors daily, weekly, or according to your organization's needs. We also upgraded the audit role within Secret Server, allowing auditors to access and analyze the reports directly. Additionally, Secret Server provides comprehensive logging capabilities. Auditors can see what data users access, their access levels, and their activities, including check-in and check-out times. Furthermore, Secret Server helped us manage privileged, elevated access, which we call "K2K." As the lead for this project, I could identify users with the highest access levels and implement specific policies to monitor their activity on servers.

Single sign-on saves time by seamlessly managing passwords and improving workflow efficiency
What I appreciate best about Imprivata OneSign are the single sign-on and the Confirm ID features. The single sign-on works seamlessly for all the nurses or the end users out there. You just have to log in to the application once and the single sign-on clicks in and works for everyone. Users don't have to manually remember all their passwords. Imprivata OneSign helps by remembering and storing all passwords. The integration capabilities of Imprivata OneSign offer many possibilities, and there are numerous upgrades Imprivata has been implementing. At this point, they are growing rapidly. There are new tools coming out for reporting and generating real-time analysis. Imprivata E-PAM is a new feature that I've been reading about in articles, which is going to help administrator people and enterprise administrator personnel to view real-time records and views for all end customers. Reporting and looking at logs for the users will be seamlessly efficient. I use the reporting tools available in Imprivata OneSign. The admin console itself has a reporting feature, which gives us a list of pre-built templates of reports where you can see how many users have been added, the user policy, the users who have last logged in in specific amounts of days, and the reporting for the EPCS users. There are numerous reporting options available which help with troubleshooting issues. I have seen many benefits from using Imprivata OneSign. It saves substantial time for nurses. As a nurse or doctor, you don't have to spend time remembering passwords or signing into computers. You just need to grab the nearest machine and tap in. You can use the machine anytime if you want. It saves time when dealing with patients. For doctors who might not be tech-savvy, Imprivata OneSign helps them sign in seamlessly.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The ease of granting access to a secret without having to share the actual password and the password rotation were the main features I found effective for password management."
"The product provides a native user experience without requiring users to install additional software or agents."
"The discovery engine is really robust and flexible. It had some session management features that are better compared to some other vendors. Overall the GUI is very good and straightforward to operate compared to other solutions. For example, CyberArk and Hitachi tend to be hard to navigate."
"The most valuable feature of Delinea Secret Server is secret password management."
"The solution is good."
"The GUI interface is well-designed and user-friendly."
"It is a stable solution."
"I find it really easy and computer confident, and the experience with the product is really good. Additionally, customizations are easy."
"It provides a service that allows users to sign in to whatever application they are using. This is the most important feature of this solution."
"I have seen many benefits from using Imprivata OneSign. It saves substantial time for nurses."
"Imprivata OneSign helps customers minimize their work in remembering passwords and enhances their security."
"It has benefited my organization in the way that it makes it more secure by making it harder to hack."

Cons

"Although the password policy was interesting, the default setting was inadequate."
"As I am partial to CyberArk, I rate Thycotic Password Reset Server as a nine out of ten, owing to the minor glitches I mentioned."
"One of the things that we want is to be able to do some of the management of it using APIs."
"I would like to see improvement with the integration with Azure Active Directory. This would mean that we can have support on multiple platforms such as Windows, Linux, and Mac."
"Documentation could be improved if they were to include more about connectors. There is not enough documentation."
"The initial setup and deployment can be cumbersome. It's not an easy process."
"In many PAM tools, when users request a password checkout, they need to provide justification. However, in my experience across four organizations, nobody actually reads the justifications. Users can simply type anything and get the password. This becomes a risk and compliance issue. There needs to be continuous improvement in this area, focusing on problem identification and mitigation strategies."
"There could be tweaks here and there. For example, instead of going to one main function to do this and another main function to do that, the solution could remap the user interface so that a person only has to go through one function. The way that function branches off should make a bit more sense."
"Imprivata OneSign should have a landing page because most customers prefer this feature, which is currently a strong point for competitors."
"I would like for them to make this solution compatible with Mac OS. I would also like for them to provide a portal so that users can easily integrate it with their applications."
"Fast user switching and Citrix integration in Imprivata OneSign could improve. There are many options available for VDI connectivity, but I've seen issues with VDI connectivity and Citrix storefront connectivity."
"They should have a landing page."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would give the price a four on a scale from one to ten, with one being the cheapest and ten being the most expensive. We pay for the license on a yearly basis, and we paid for three years. It costs around 5000 a year."
"The price of this solution is good."
"The solution is low-cost than other vendors."
"There are different plans and additional licensing costs that can be instituted for add-ons."
"It isn't terribly expensive."
"Pricing is comparable to competing products."
"When comparing the price of Thycotic Secret Server with other solutions it is reasonable."
"Its price is okay. We don't compete on pricing. We seldom use price to win over our competitors. We prefer it this way because if we can sustain the price, we make more margin as well. We don't want the price to go down to the bottom where despite the win, there's no margin at all."
"At the moment, I believe the price is reasonable."
"The price is reasonable, it's an affordable solution."
