We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We especially like the initial part of feature engineering, because feature engineering is included in most engines, but DataRobot has an excellent way of picking up the right features.""DataRobot can be easy to use."

"Monitoring infrastructure and business applications are the most valuable features.""One of the things that I like about DX Infrastructure is that the topology is good enough to see what is happening in the infrastructure. You also get alerts if something is happening in the network. There are many features and benefits. It is serving our customers in knowing exactly how their network is performing in terms of reliability. It also helps them in planning the capacity. They know how much bandwidth the branches are consuming.""Great customized dashboards and drill down reports with auto serve analytics.""It's easy to push out across numerous servers. Very scalable.""Monitors the infrastructure asset and also monitors as an IT service.""It is easy to implement.""MultiWAN and Balance service""The ability to monitor any platform. We have Windows, Linux, AIX, and mainframe all being monitored with the same UIM infrastructure."

Cons
"The business departments will love to work with DataRobot because they use the tool to investigate their data, such as targeting what they want to investigate. They don't need any data scientists near them. They can investigate at eye level and bring into the BI tool, or can bring it to the data scientist. Data scientists can use this tool to bring increase the solution to the maximum. All the others can use it, but not to the maximum.""If we could include our existing Python or R code in DataRobot, we could make it even better. The DataRobot that we have is specific to an industry, but most of the time we would have our own algorithms, which are specific to our own use case. If we had a way by which we could integrate our proprietary things into DataRobot with a simple integration, it would help us a lot."

More DataRobot Cons →

"It needs a little bit more functionality in the Admin Console.""In the UMP, certain devices will show up multiple times and they don't correlate correctly. That's one of the issues.""Stability.""The dashboards need to be improved.""There is also room for improvement in the reporting. It is not really good enough, according to our customers. So what we now usually do is use Power BI to get them the kinds of reports they want.""We have experienced challenges with finding a mechanism to deploy the agents, but it's only on the first deployment so it's not a big issue.""The company has not kept pace with developments.""The other element is that there are no real templates, out of the box. Let's go with an example where we do have the probe, which is great, and we do have a really nuanced customer with a small set of devices that maybe not a lot of other customers use. There might not be a template in place, so effectively we have the tool in front of us but we still need to develop a solution. So it would be really nice to see a little bit more of something like a central repository of templates that we could use. That would help us expedite our onboarding process."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "We dropped the plan to use DataRobot, because we found the pricing to be on the higher sise. We liked DataRobot a lot, but due to the pricing, we dropped that idea."
  • "The price of DataRobot is good because if you take the price of the solution which is approximately $65,000, it is less than a data scientist. There are very few data scientists available."
  • More DataRobot Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "This product is expensive compared to other vendors (SolarWinds, ManageEngine)."
  • "The product-price ratio is better than other brands such as Fortinet or SonicWall."
  • "The license cost depends on the number of probes and robots."
  • "Reasonable setup cost and licensing prices."
  • "CAD $400,000 annually."
  • "Customers pay for the license and the support."
  • "Pricing for DX Unified Infrastructure Management isn't cheap at all. It's a complex tool, so you have to pay more. No one is happy with a large bill to pay, but if it's a complex product and you designed a complex solution to be monitored, it'll be your fault that you need to buy an expensive product, and that would be implicit in the design of DX Unified Infrastructure Management. Monitoring is just a small part of it. Sometimes you have to pay a significant amount of money for a complex yet very good solution."
