Efficient threat detection and seamless deployment improve overall security
The single panel console of CrowdStrike Falcon is very user-friendly, which is what we are looking for. Having multiple administrators between various offices with this single console gives us the ability to see all offices, branch offices, and partners, making it very useful to detect machines, identify machines, and check security risks. Everything in the single console is very useful. CrowdStrike Falcon has positively impacted our organization in terms of efficiency because it's very lightweight, easy to deploy, easy to manage, and works very efficiently. It quickly detects issues and doesn't have a signature-based system, so it works fast and takes immediate action.

We tried Graylog Security, starting with their inexpensive open-source version. We tested it out and continued using it for a while. As for the main differences between Graylog Security and other vendors, some users might prefer cloud-based platforms over on-premises solutions. It isn't inherently cloud-native, but that might not matter much for some.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The stability is very good."
"We've had security incidents that occurred and within a matter of just a couple of minutes, they were completely remediated and fixed and we didn't even have to think about it."
"The features we showcase to potential customers are prevention, malware protection, zero-day protection, and application scripting, and vulnerability assessment is another valuable feature."
"Enables us to understand what processes are running on the system, what registry keys have been enabled."
"CrowdStrike Falcon has been very low maintenance."
"My advice to others is this is a good solution that does not require a lot of attention."
"It's given me a level of confidence that my network is secure — the fact that it's not finding anything; however, I am not experiencing the issues that competitors are saying I should be experiencing."
"We use CrowdStrike Falcon for discovery when anything goes wrong because it gives us a full history of what's happening."
"We use the solution to collect logs."
"The tool aggregates logs. We can see the logs in one place."

Cons

"There are a lot of open integrations, but they are external factors that cause dependencies on the integrator, not really on CrowdStrike, so it's a bit of a challenge as there is no comprehensive solution."
"I would like to see equal support across all versions. Aside from that, I would say most of the features are there."
"The GUI can use improvement, it's cloud-based so sometimes the interface can be a bit slow. The interface could use a little bit more speed."
"I would like them to improve the correlation of data in the search algorithms. When we run an investigation, malware, phishing, etc., I want to look at multiple endpoints at once to correlate that data to see the likenesses, e.g., how are they not alike or what systems and processes are running across those systems? I don't want to have to run the same search in their Spotlight module five, 10, 15, or 100 times to get 100 different results, copy that data out, and then correlate it on my own. In a very simple way, I want to be able to load up a comma-delimited list giving me the spotlight data on these X amount of hosts, letting me search for it quickly. We have had to go back to CrowdStrike, and say, "Our search are taking far too long for even one host." They did bump up the cores and that did improve performance, but it is still kind of slow to get that Spotlight data. That is probably our biggest pain point. I think that needs some help. I understand this kind of information access is probably not the easiest thing to do. It is probably a big ask depending on how their back-end is setup."
"The product could be more accurate in terms of performance."
"This solution lacks basic functionality, such as being able to perform on-demand scanning."
"The current version of Falcon does not support DLP which may be good to have in an EDR solution."
"The stability of the solution varies, several weeks ago I had some difficulties deploying CrowdStrike."
"Graylog Security needs to incorporate security scorecards."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would like them to further reduce the price, because it is quite pricey at the moment."
"There is no license required to use this solution."
"CrowdStrike is well priced. On a yearly basis, it costs between $60 and $100 per user."
"We are at about $60,000 per year."
"The pricing will depend upon your volume of usage."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon could be better. It is very expensive, we pay approximately $900 per month for the licenses. There are not any additional fees."
"There are approximately a hundred different modules you have to purchase, depending on what you want to do. I have most of the modules. How it works is you buy the portfolio, you have to decide all the components you want in it, and then they price out a bundle for you. I have almost all of the package features in my bundle. You only need to pay for the modules you want."
"Crowdstrike Falcon is relatively cheap."
"I rate the tool's pricing a one out of ten."
