We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features in ControlUp are endpoint monitoring and the many features that are available.""It has a great career time monitoring tool.""When using ControlUp, the core feature that we have found valuable is its UI. It is a valuable tool to view the analysis reactions of a base core Level 2 or Level 1 team so that they can complete the necessary troubleshooting.""Integration with Netscaler and Scoutbees can provide a proper end-to-end analysis of the user's experience and give us a real ROI.""Security, uptime, and reduced capital expenditures are the main reasons we use ControlUp. So basically, the money that we consume is based on the amount of time we are using a service.""ControlUp has an easy installation process.""The script-based actions have allowed us to extend the core reporting capabilities.""It shows you so many details of what's going on in that log-on that, if there's a problem, you can identify it in five minutes."

More ControlUp Pros →

"We no longer have to manually search for problems because we are alerted when something in the network goes down.""The most valuable feature is the monitoring of resources.""The interactive mapping interface for scrolling, zooming, and drilling down on an element to learn about a network issue is good. When we see a network there will sometimes be a spot that has one link. You can go into a particular part of the topology map, scroll in, and see exactly which module it is.""The solution effectively monitors network devices and servers.""WhatsUp Gold is very easy to deploy.""The most important features of WhatsUp Gold are the server health and uptime it provides. Additionally, WhatsUp Gold is a Windows-based solution which is a benefit.""Auto scanning is most valuable. It looks for rogue devices on your network.""The interface in the last few years it has been a lot greater, they are much more user-friendly. I like the interface."

Cons
"It can be improved by including script-based scheduling.""Something I would love to see from a partner perspective would be maybe a way to do this in a surface hosting provider.""This solution be improved by including load throttling tools. For example, I can identify a service where we spend a lot of CPU but I cannot restrict the service from ControlUp. I have to use another tool like AppSense.""The most common complaint that I have heard, at least within our organization, is about reporting. They have their own reporting. It's just that it doesn't yet include everything that you can look at within the application. You can only report on specific metrics or collections.""Solve is a quick and intuitive tool for quickly mapping data together, however, once you have the view of the data that you like, it is difficult to share this with colleagues.""We'd like to see the mobile app working again so that we can get alerts 24/7. This is especially useful for the person on call.""The graphical user interface needs to be improved from version to version.""ControlUp could improve the integration. Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop monitoring has better integration."

More ControlUp Cons →

"The interface needs some work.""Pricing is too high relative to how many devices we use. The price list is not linear to number of devices.""The initial setup of WhatsUp Gold is a medium range of difficulty levels. However, if it is your first time it could be difficult.""The licensing model could be improved. Right now, the levels are too far apart. This causes the solution to be more expensive than it needs to be.""The new release cadence needs to be improved. It takes a while for them to add new features and functionality. There should be a quicker turnaround with new versions.""The point system is not clear and clarity around this would improve our understanding of the system.""Adding on services increases the cost and on the version we have there is no option for ATM monitoring.""I would like to see them do an enhancement to the application monitoring. A lot of other products do better application monitoring so they should do some improvements to the application monitoring."
