We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is straightforward.""The solution is mostly stable.""The best feature I like about CloudCheckr CMx High Security is its simplicity. I love that it's not rocket science to use the solution. Even if you're not familiar with the cloud, you can easily figure out how to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security. You can use AWS, you can use Azure, and you can use GCP with the solution because the integration is quite simple. You can also use multi-cloud with it, and you could see the billing part. You'll have complete visibility into your cost which I love about the solution. I also love that data on any security issues and vulnerabilities are available on the go with CloudCheckr CMx High Security. You don't need to do anything different. Just run the scan and you'll have all these open findings in the tool, in terms of the priority level, so if it's critical, it will tell you, "It's critical," and you need to fix it right away.""It's one of the leading players for cloud optimization. It's hard to find anything better.""It will automatically suggest areas for optimization.""The solution is scalable for our purposes.""The recommendation section is pretty helpful.""The most valuable feature of CloudCheckr CMx High Security is granular reporting. Additionally, the user interface is easy to use."

"The most valuable feature is how easy it makes it to manage the VM.""The most valuable feature is workflow automation.""If I need to do DR, VMware can enable me to use vMotion, which requires use of vCenter. You cannot do vMotion without vCenter. We do a lot of automation, orchestration, and simplification for that purpose.""In regards to the workflows, the fact that we can actually have a full dashboard library of all the existing workflows on this is great. We can see all the workflows and what all the actions do and can work with scripts.""vCenter Orchestrator is easy to use.""The most valuable feature is that it's simple and very ergonomic to use the product compared to other virtualizing product. Out of Microsoft, Red Hat, and IBM, we found VMware to be the best one.""The product's integration is good, it works well with other programs and solutions.""We have excellent technical support. They have always been helpful when we have needed them."

Cons
"The performance of the tool really needs to be improved.""Self-healing could be a bit smoother and a bit cleaner, easier to access and more functional. That would help.""The solution must improve its user interface.""What needs to be improved in CloudCheckr CMx High Security is integration. All the clouds are going quite fast, for example, all the cloud providers: Microsoft, Google, etc. CloudCheckr CMx High Security is good with AWS, no doubt about it, but with Azure and Google Cloud, I find that the solution is slow in that direction. If the vendor planned for CloudCheckr CMx High Security to be automated just for AWS, then it does make sense. If not, if the vendor is also targeting good integration with Google and Microsoft, then CloudCheckr CMx High Security integration needs improvement, in particular, it has to be faster. At the moment, its integration with Azure is not as good as its integration with AWS. With GCP, integration is nowhere.""CloudCheckr CMx High Security is complex. There are a lot of menus, and if you do not know what you are looking for you can get lost. However, the interface is self-explanatory. It's easy to understand where to go to get what you want.""Many features still need to be implemented in this tool.""The solution needs to work better with larger capacities of data.""The reporting and analytic capabilities are very limited."

More CloudCheckr Cons →

"vCenter Orchestrator's debugging capacity could be improved.""The licensing is expensive and should be improved.""VMware tools would benefit from more automation. When installing our devices and servers, we often need to install the VMware tools manually. This process should be automated during the VM installation process.""There can be compatibility issues.""There are no good manuals or guidelines on integrations. Hence, you need to be asking someone.""Its technical support team takes a long time to escalate the issues.""I would like to see a greater ability to do mobile administration.""Many times, customers' licenses are not used because the client is not aware of the features and the product benefits. When somebody is buying a product, they just do a default configuration."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "A license is needed to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security, but because we are a managed service provider, the price of the license would vary. It depends on the type of cloud users we have, for example, it would be some type of percentage or monthly billing, etc."
  • "The solution is reasonably priced."
  • "The cost is on par with other providers."

  • "Our licensing is on a yearly basis. We pay for the license and then we pay the support every year."
  • "This solution is expensive and the licensing is more attractive for Haveri."
  • "The price is reasonable, and one of the reasons that this product was selected."
  • "We provide the VMware solution to our clients, for which they pay a perpetual license."
  • "The concept of hyper-convergence is smart. I don't know if it can be applied with less cost to be more affordable for small or medium-sized companies. The cost is a very important factor for it. We are currently depending on SAN storage. However, the hyper-converged solutions are depending on the storage within the hosts, such as vSAN in the VMware. It is a smart solution."
  • "We pay a yearly fee, based on our entries."
  • "The licensing module is somewhat complex. Calculating the cost is complicated. Many of our clients are unclear about the billing system and the traffic metering."
  • "The licensing cost is manageable because they have different versions available, standard, essential, and advanced."
