Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Among the most valuable features is the Citrix Workspace, which allows us to drive that thin-client connection and the remote control/remote access capabilities. Those things have allowed us to connect an awful lot of people quickly from home and that's obviously helped during the pandemic.""The product is simple to set up, and its deep integration with Microsoft is also a valuable feature.""The Provisioning Services are the most valuable feature. We have Premium licensing, so Provisioning Services is huge for us, along with the Virtual Apps and Desktops part. It allows us to have a vDisk for every region, one that can easily be copied between them if we need to, to limit the amount of updates we have to do.""The scalability is fine. We have about 400 users, who are supported by six staff members. We use the product company-wide throughout 40 different locations, and we currently do not have plans to increase the scale of use.""This is a very stable solution which you can feel confident using.""The installation and maintenance are good.""The App is the most valuable feature.""ICA/HDX optimization policies."

"Technical support has good responsiveness.""It's easy enough to use."

Cons
"There are a lot of shortfalls with supporting printing over XenApp.""Their customer support can be improved a lot as it lacks a lot of knowledgeable help.""I think improvement around the Analytics piece is super important. There has been a lot of maturity over the last year in that area, though a lot more needs to be done. Also, a lot more of the value of those Analytics needs to be sold to end users. Citrix is working on a lot of things that are ahead of the curve and a lot of organizations aren't quite there yet with implementing those technologies and capabilities.""Pricing and technical support need improvement.""The video conferencing feature needs to be improved.""The sales team does not focus on client needs but instead focuses on selling higher-priced items.""I think they can improve the troubleshooting to make it easier for users to solve problems on their own. For example, it could provide an error code and some instructions on how to reconnect to the database or do something proactive to fix the issue with the system.""Where improvement could be driven is in terms of clarity as to the functionality of some of the solutions. If you go back to the older Citrix Xen products that we had, we understood those really well. As we've come into the new workstation premium suite, there is a lot of additional functionality that we perhaps have not yet fully exploited. It is not because we can't, but simply because we don't yet understand the depth of functionality that's offered."

"It's quite power-hungry and some customers complain that it drains the batteries on their smartphones very quickly.""The location markings can appear incorrectly."
