We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Stable product with straightforward setup.""This is a very stable solution which you can feel confident using.""Citrix offers a range of products that can be used straight out of the box.""There are many features that I like, but the stability over the Internet is exceptional. Even if there's bandwidth fluctuation or network jitter, it performs well, offering a seamless experience to end-users without noticeable disruptions.""We've been able to scale the environment quite nicely by using the Citrix Remote PC. I can't say enough about that. And because that relies on utilizing your existing hardware resources, and making those available as a part of your Citrix farm — with a second level of authentication and security pieces around it — we added some 4,000 workstations without an additional overhead or cost.""For the most part, overall stability is what you would expect.""Security is a shining point of the Citrix Workspace. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is a very robust solution when security is a concern. Furthermore, the content collaboration data-hosting that Citrix integrates with Virtual Apps and Desktops is among the best there is.""The most valuable feature of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is the security and it is easy to work with."

"The ability to have all the connection information in one location saves so much time from trying to manage the same information across different applications.""Being able to store my credentials makes connecting a breeze.""Devolutions's team is constantly making improvements to their products. If you submit a feature request, they are usually quick to implement it.""Makes me instantly more focused on resolving the issue rather than getting to the issue.""Being able to aggregate all connections (RDP, FTP, SSH, VPN, etc.) in the same interface and make each server readily available in the same way, which lets me focus on the problem regardless of where it is.""Integration with a third party credential storage, web login, and VPN are the most usable and useful functions at the moment.""The interface is great to work with as it allows multiple connections in a tabbed interface. It also has the option to automatically start a VPN or an SSH tunnel, if required.""RDM has enabled me to do most of my work in one place. This helps me be able to have an RDP session open to a server in one tab and an SSH session open to a VMware host in another."

Cons
"Where improvement could be driven is in terms of clarity as to the functionality of some of the solutions. If you go back to the older Citrix Xen products that we had, we understood those really well. As we've come into the new workstation premium suite, there is a lot of additional functionality that we perhaps have not yet fully exploited. It is not because we can't, but simply because we don't yet understand the depth of functionality that's offered.""Templating the deployment process could use improvement. When you start, there are a large number of details that are quite client-specific, although they do share common themes. To get somebody up and running in a day is very difficult to do. They should streamline by use case.""My only issue with Citrix is that they frequently rebrand their products. I'm using the app and everything is fine but after a couple of years, it's entirely different. There were an enormous number of Citrix tools readily available. My immediate concern was selecting the correct ones.""Citrix should consolidate the multiple tools currently required into a single platform.""Pricing can be lower and roaming profiles need to be fixed to work consistently.""The initial setup has room for improvement.""Scalability depends on the server and the number of users in the organization.""I think improvement around the Analytics piece is super important. There has been a lot of maturity over the last year in that area, though a lot more needs to be done. Also, a lot more of the value of those Analytics needs to be sold to end users. Citrix is working on a lot of things that are ahead of the curve and a lot of organizations aren't quite there yet with implementing those technologies and capabilities."

More Citrix DaaS (formerly Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service) Cons →

"Security roles could be improved, especially by enabling renaming of a role.""Sometimes when updating, the install window is on top of the prompt to close the application.""Maybe some clipboard functions could be added along with integration of different software.""Sometimes the manual inventory of some entries hangs, and RDM must be closed via task manager.""The RDM client (.NET issue, actually) can stall or lock up while it clears communication threads to the server.""There are always bugs to squash, beyond that, it is really kind of difficult for new users to discover and use many of the features due to the bewildering array of choices and ways to do things.""The only complaint I have heard is there are too many updates. Each time there is an update (the app prompts to upgrade), it can be time consuming, especially when sometimes there are multiple updates per week.""On complex setups, I actually needed to reach out to support to get it working correctly."
