A simple interface and helpful support for a solution that grows with us
It's a flexible enough tool to submit the changes that you want. It gives you the ability to cancel any loop. You can connect new orchestrations together. It offers enough support so that you don't need to have the need to get another device. The user interface is simple and easy to use.

Extensive tool features support database monitoring, but support and pricing present challenges
I don't fully understand what improvements could be made in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. To make it better, more features could be added, but it is already a very complete tool, especially if you know how to configure it properly, as you can use it to monitor other databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server in addition to Oracle.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I strongly recommend the solution to people."
"It offers enough support so that you don't need to have the need to get another device."
"We have been satisfied with technical support."
"I believe that one of the most valuable resources this tool has is the ability to check offending processes, which are burdening the hardware resources, and to generate advice quickly that can improve a query's performance."
"Of course, that you can manage and create the backup strategies from a central environment for all your environments, so you don’t have to do so on each database. You can set up the policy you want for each database, but you do it from a central environment."
"Real-time SQL, performance monitoring and SQL Tuning Advisor are the features that I use the most."
"The product has made it possible to reduce the size of the performance team and still be able to correctly monitor all the databases and fix issues quickly, resulting in fewer downtimes."
"The valuable feature is job scheduling. It manages the database's scheduling, history, and growth, helping monitor CPU and space usage across the entire data center. It provides a comprehensive view of operations."
"SAP is a high-performance application, and we are able to use Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to monitor and prevent bottlenecks."
"OEM is invaluable in many ways, other products can replace bits of it - but the product should be used as a single point from which to view as much of your enterprise as possible."

Cons

"The solution is just too expensive, so maybe the pricing could be better."
"It is sometimes difficult to create configurations in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control."
"I've had both positive and negative experiences with support. Its compatibility with the rest of the products in the market is less."
"Because all our banking infrastructure is based on Oracle, I’ve tried to register Enterprise Manager on the middleware level, let's say, WebLogic applications. But I cannot say that I can do all the administration from Enterprise Manager, that I can do from the WebLogic Admin Console. So, I think here it needs some improvement: Things that you can do on the WebLogic Admin Console, you should be able to do them on the Enterprise Manager, so you don’t have to log into the Admin Console."
"The product lacks in the area of database, making it an area where improvements are required."
"Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control manages the monitoring and the graphs. Other tools complement the base monitoring. Zabbix is efficient with space pressure."
"The on-premises installation is complex. It should be easier, especially for deploying agents that are running on a Windows machine that is running Oracle databases. It's very complex. Linux based machines aren't so complicated but it's complex for Windows."
"The interface for Data Guard could use some work."
"There is a lack from the point of view of monitoring on the system. The performance of the system and its resources are things that I think can be improved. There needs to be real-time monitoring available on the solution."
